He wants to fast track their wedding. She frowns she needs a divorce, then laments perhaps Ian is up to something. He could be setting her up. Brady drawls then he intends to go after him! She giggles and they passionately kiss. Madison soon gets worried again. Brady urges her not to worry. She decides to have her lawyer call Ian's lawyer, as he suggested, before she jumps to any conclusions. However, he does have a history of letting her down. That having been said, he did seem more like the man she once loved when he announced he was setting her free. Brady calls him a jerk and points out his wife fell in love with another man. Madison wonders if Ian has found someone else to obsess over. Brady wonders if she is jealous! No, she simply wishes to know what she is dealing with. Brady starts to massage her and teases he will go through it all with her. Ring ring! Tis a text message from the director of PR. Kate has been ousted from Countess W. The company is now being run by Sami. "Oh my god!" gasps Brady. - Ian and Kate have coffee at the town square café. She sighs the whole internet knows about Stefano rejecting her and giving Sami control of the company. He promises things will look up soon. Lucas saunters up, gives the pair the evil eye, and quips he cannot believe it. This is the guy that Stefano gave her the boot for? They both lost their jobs for this guy? Ian politely introduces himself. Kate wants to explain. Stefano set her up. He tested her. Lucas assumes she failed, but warns that Stefano the career criminal will destroy both her and her new man! Kate does not wish to hear such things. Ian drawls nothing will happen to the woman he loves. Lucas is surprised when he goes on to confess he has long loved her. His eyes narrow. "Wait a minute. I know you, don't I?" Ian happily acknowledges he was present on a ski trip his mother took him on in Gstaad, Switzerland. Lucas remembers the man taught him how to ski and gave him a puff of his cigar. He was a cool guy but then took off. Ian points out that things were different then. Lucas dubiously points out now the thing between them is Stefano. Ian has many business matters to attend to, shakes Lucas' hand, and says it was nice to see him. Lucas agrees. Once Ian walks away, Lucas mutters to Kate he sure hopes he was worth it! - Sami is trying to do her new job but it is not easy. EJ shows up and she just wants to know if she even has the job. EJ updates her on fatha making it crystal clear that no one will contradict his choices. It is her company to run now as she sees fit. Sami is relieved but wonders what Kate did to lose favor. EJ notes this is her golden opportunity and he is there to make certain she does not mess up. Sami boasts she knows a lot. EJ informs her she is hardly Elizabeth Arden after a few months in the business. Besides, Stefano only hired her to hurt Kate. Sami primly sits down and insists she will prove herself. EJ assumes Stefano does not even care what happens to the company, but he does and is therefore here to lend a hand. Sami gives him a disbelieving look. He notes she has an opportunity here to provide for herself and her children. She quips it sounds like he thinks she needs his help. He patiently states he has insight also into his fatha and offers to be a not so silent partner who backs her up. Sami realizes that Stefano has not confided in EJ and wonders if he has turned on him too! - Carrie wakes up to shirtless Rafe and kisses him, smiling she is glad they worked things out. Last night was purrfect. He agrees and kisses her passionately. Afterwards, she cries tears of joy and whispers it feels so right that they are together. Austin turns to her and promises they will make it work. He knows it! Carrie blinks back to reality. She starts to get dressed as Austin takes a shower. He soon emerges and grins he missed her in the shower. Should he call her later about lunch? She replies she will call him. Unsuspecting Austin goes to get dressed. Carrie now sits down and quietly calls Rafe, who is glad to hear from her. She explains they need to talk! - Rafe sits on the town square big white sofa and flashes back to hearing Carrie tell Austin that things were different since she found out he never cheated. Carrie approaches and flashes back to hearing Rafe say he was the father of Nicole's baby. Back to reality. Carrie joins Rafe and he wonders what is up. She sits and stammers she still has feelings for him. She has loved Austin for years but things are not the same. Rafe assures her she has done nothing wrong. She confesses that when Austin holds her, she wishes he was really Rafe! Rafe is speechless. Carrie adds she still loves Austin, yet she cannot get Rafe out of her head, nor she does want to ... - EJ sits across from Sami's desk and explains he is offering her a lifeline. Sami remarks they both have few friends and have lost their significant others. She requests the short version of what transpired between him and Stefano. EJ admits fatha is keeping his distance. Sami reminds him that he is his golden boy who can do no wrong. EJ quietly enlightens her that he recently discovered his father has been undermining him for months, regardless of the cost to his empire. Sami would like at least one example ...
