Running With the Wind - Part 2 - EJ explains to Sami that Stefano brazenly dissolved Hearth and Home, a profitable company. Sami now assumes he just wants to use her to prove something to Stefano. EJ wants to help her turn the company into a powerhouse. Sami reminds him being the mayor is a fulltime job. He reasons he could call it consulting. Sami, however, does not want him to use her to get back into Stefano's good graces and therefore turns him down. - Madison makes a call and receives confirmation that Kate is out, Sami is in. Brady chuckles Sami knows nothing. Madison decides to deal with Sami starting right now ... She calls her to offer her congratulations. Sami snaps she will drive her into bankruptcy. Madison suggests she run her company instead of her mouth. Sami thinks she can do both at the same time, warns she will use what she knows about Mad World to make them go down, and ends the call. Madison calls her a b*tch, then gets a text from Ian, who summons her to a meeting. He refers to it as personal. Brady and Madison soon enter Ian's office together. Ian makes a comment about her escort. In fact, he is all about business today ... - EJ is not impressed with Samantha's business approach. She assures him they can still be friends and is sorry he is out of favor with Stefano. She wonders if he will be fixing things with Nicole. He has not given up. Sami sighs about losing Rafe. EJ wonders if it is for the best, then opts to take his leave as he has much to do. Sami smiles she will see him soon and watches him leave. - Kate admits to Lucas that she lost her way. What she used to count on seemed gone. Lucas notes Ian was there to pick up the pieces. Kate defends him. Lucas has heard enough of her love life. He is proud of what they did with Hearth and Home, but laments it is all gone. Kate vows to make Stefano regret his decision. Lucas gets worried. Kate leers revenge is a dish best served cold and she is going to make Sami freeze! Lucas sighs. - Summoned Lucas and Kate soon join Ian, Madison, and Brady at his office. Ian announces he is calling a meeting. About Samantha Brady! - Rafe walks with Carrie and is sorry for what she is going through. She notes they never even had a chance. He begs to differ. She reminds him he and Nicole are having a baby. She just wanted to see him again. Rafe now informs her he was about to tell her he wanted them to be together but then withdrew when he perceived her talking to Austin about their marriage. This is a surprise to Carrie, who still wonders what made him sleep with Nicole. He suddenly declares he lied to her. Carrie starts to babble about the sleeping with Nicole scenarios. If he had been honest, things could have been different. "Maybe they still can," whispers Rafe. - Sami walks into the town square, all about Countess W business on the phone. She runs into Austin, who is shocked to hear his mother is out and she is in. He is concerned about Kate and insists he must call her. Sami wishes him good luck. Austin warns she is the one who will need the good luck, accepting anything from Stefano. Now she owes the dastardly DiMera! Sami boasts she is going to make Countess W a huge international success. He certainly hopes she is right, for her sake ... - Ian now offers Kate a position at Mad World, to go up against Sami Brady. Realizing she will have to work with her arch enemy, Madison growls and yells. Brady tries to calm her down. - Much to Nicole's dismay, EJ seems to have tracked her down outside the pub. He charmingly offers her his herbal tea. She notes he only drinks herbal tea when he is hung over. She wonders what led him to drink, then decides she would rather not know. EJ wistfully recalls the nice smoothies she made when he was hung over, like she once did at the pub. A flashback is shown of her making the smoothie, happily assuring him his secrets were safe with her. Nicole suddenly hands him back the tea, not wanting to revisit the past. EJ sadly states he has lost almost everything he holds dear and cannot lose her as well! Nicole's eyes soften. - At his office, Ian lists Kate's qualities as Madison loudly refuses to report to her. Ian reasons Samantha Brady has Stefano behind her so Madison will need all the help she can get. Kate knows Stefano, which is precisely why he is offering her the position of Co-CEO of Mad World. What does she say? Madison has plenty to say. "Over my dead body!" - Sami explains to Austin that her new job will be a great opportunity for her to focus on something besides Rafe. She asks how things are now between Austin and Carrie. They are starting to work things out and have discussed having a baby. Sami exclaims she is worried about him. She has her doubts that his wife is over her soon to be ex-husband ... - Meanwhile, Rafe informs Carrie she does not know the whole story. Carrie glumly notes he and Nicole are having a baby. Rafe explains he was trying to do the right thing. Carrie retorts his leaving Nicole would hurt her. He disagrees. Rafe now wants to tell her everything ... END |
