Episode 12,066 - Vargas and Nicole are kissing passionately in the holy office! Unexpected, unannounced visitor Sami is almost at the door when her phone rings. Tis Caroline, who urgently and mysteriously summons her to the pub. Nicole and Vargas break away from each other, realizing the close call. Sami promises to join needy Caroline as soon as she asks Eric a question. Caroline relays the message to excited EJ, who awaits at the empty pub. Sami, meanwhile, enters the rectory office in her mini skirt, only to learn that Eric is away. Vargas excuses himself and Sami makes a joke about Nicole not chasing after him. They exchange words and Sami gets harsh. She hisses not to hurt Eric or else and storms out. Nicole makes a face. - John sighs at the picture Kristen called an illusion and places a call to someone from the coffee house. Ring ring goes the phone for Marlena is right behind him! The blonde is elated he was calling her. She notices the Basic Black folder lying conspicuously on the table and wonders. John is evasive. All he will share is that he is working on a project. In fact, he was hoping she could help. She sits down with her green jacket, blue collar and matching gloves, and smiles, her eyes shining as brightly as her gold earrings. However, the shine fades from those eyes when John asks to borrow her key to their storage unit. She assumed he wanted to talk. He wants to keep it simple as he has some things he needs to get …Marlena hands him the key. He thanks her and saunters away, gone with the wind, it seems. Doc’s eyes fill with tears. - At DiMera mansion, Stefano informs his man he has someone who needs to be taken care of! Elsewhere in Salem, Sy - the one who needs to be taken care of - leers that DiMera bitch is going down! But he needs his money! His flunky promises it will be fine and then she will get hers too. - At the house of Kiriakis, Brady asks grandfather if he can open the envelope. Victor hands it over. Brady is looking forward to the big project they have planned and starts open the envelope. Ring ring! He simply must take that as it concerns an impending deal. Kristen ends up holding the envelope as he steps out of the room. She wonders if she should open it, totally oblivious to the contents. The Titan gang are presently most preoccupied with a big investor. Kristen is about to look at the envelope when Vic coughs and stands up. She promises not to get in the way of his biz talk with Brady and he drawls she is tough to read. She calls herself an open book and hands him back the envelope to do the honors. Moments later, Stefano calls Kristen and orders her home. NOW. Victor, meanwhile gets another anxious call from Sy. The Greek snaps he is busy, call again in an hour! Brady comes back to Kristen, who hastily excuses herself. He now rejoins Victor, who sarcastically agrees it is indeed a shame she could not stay longer! Alas, she has gone with the wind ... - Jen and Dan stare in shock as diva Chloe announces she has made a decision. She is leaving Salem and cries she needs Dan and Jen to be there for Parker! It breaks her heart but she is confident he will be in good hands with his father. Dan wonders what she means. So does Jen. Chloe continues her meltdown and admits she needs therapy, which she intends to get. She will fix herself and turn things around. She cries about her pathetic, lonely life, and is truly sorry for what she put them through. She assures Jen that Parker does not hate her. Jen is sympathetic and tells her she cares for the boy. Chloe updates Dan that papa Craig pulled some strings so she will be at a great facility approximately 1000 miles away. She yearns to find herself again, for Parker’s sake. Philosophical Dan adds she must find herself for herself too. She weeps she has much to live for. It gives her comfort that her son will be with the one who loves him almost as much as she does. Dan diplomatically promises to mention her daily. Chloe will be doing volunteer work while receiving treatment for her fragile mental state. Dan asks for how long she will be gone. Two months or perhaps more. Chloe smiles the timing could not be better for everyone. Jen blinks her blue eyes. Chloe has more news. She has consulted with a lawyer and has petitioned to have Dan the man listed on Parker’s birth certificate as the father. Jen wonders whether Parker knows she is leaving. Chloe sniffles no, and her flight departs in a few hours. She hopes this will be a start for the little boy and his daddy. Dan offers her words of encouragement. Chloe wants to say goodbye to her son. Jen goes to fetch him. Chloe dabs at her now smeared makeup. Parker runs to mommy and she holds him tight. Jen smiles. Abigail watches. Dan is overwhelmed. - The pub is empty. EJ fixes his blue tie and informs Caroline he is proposing today. Does she believe Samantha will say yes? Carline does not miss a beat. NO! EJ insists this will be special and he loves her despite the fact that Caroline cannot imagine him spending the rest of his life with Sami and proposing here of all places. He charmingly explains he is doing it at the pub to symbolize that he will not come between her and her family. He kisses her hand when Sami’s grandmother decides to keep her opinion to herself.
