She says she loves him. He roguishly drawls he loves her too. She turns around with a start and they share an intense emotional embrace. He kisses her and just wants to look at her. She would like to hear all about what happened. He growls everything was the doing of one Stefano DiMera! They sit and hold hands over the table. Upon hearing what transpired, she admits it was her worst fear - that he would morph them into Gina and the pawn. John updates her on the mysterious coin in the egg. Marlena is disgusted that he was also responsible for the attack on Bo. John enlightens her on the thug he had following her around town. That was why he agreed to be hypnotized and do his bidding. Marlena laments had they not escaped, Stefano would not have let them get their memories back. He murmurs he is home all because of her and gets close, holding her in his arms. He had a major breakthrough after seeing her photograph and remembering their love. As for the phoenix ... "Our connection was stronger than he was!" Marlena smiles. She is still curious how close he got to Hope. He assures her they did not sleep together. Did he get the divorce? Alas, no. The chaos prevented them from getting it finalized. Marlena suggests he ask his old friends at the ISA for help. He used to be one of their best undercover men. Agent John now has a confession to make. "I'm back in the spy game!" The blonde pouts. - Billie is at Bo's bedside, exasperated she knows not when Hope will be there. Bo sleeps on. All of a sudden, Hope bursts into the room crying. She kisses him, gasping she is there. She thanks Billie for being there as often as she was. Kayla told her all about it. Billie downplays her help. She informs Hope that he is stable now. She suspects he has been waiting for her. Hope turns back to Bo and woefully declares she came back to him so he had better come back to her! - Lucas is at the pub with Sami, who met him to pick up Ally's doll. He remarks she took off her wedding ring and stops her from leaving with a grin. She wonders what he is up to! He chuckles to be patient. He will see her at her apartment in an hour. Sami will be there after she drops off all her product samples to the wicked witch. Lucas teases she could use a drama free day for a change. Sami doesn't think it is possible. - Replay of Rafe ready to tell Carrie the truth. He starts to explain what is between him and Nicole is complicated. Just then Sami and Lucas exit the pub and Sami gets sarcastic about him juggling his women. She taunts maybe Carrie does not mind sharing her boyfriends. Carrie snaps to go to hell and storms off. Lucas notes it will not be a drama free day after all! Rafe takes off after Carrie. She thinks Sami was right. Rafe insists she knows not the whole story. Carrie quips she does not care, for what she believed they had is over and she is totally committed to her marriage. Rafe wonders what made her decide to give Austin another chance. Carrie does not admit it was because of Nicole being pregnant and fibs she made up her mind after she realized he had never cheated. Austin is a great guy. Rafe whispers he is sorry. He never meant to hurt her. Carrie walks away. The now downtrodden Rafe sighs. Meanwhile Sami is en route to the mansion ... - Billie steps out of Bo's room to take a call. Hope leans over and kisses him. "Listen to me, Brady. We've been through way too much to let this bastard win." She begs him to fight for she will not go on without him, nor will she tell their baby she does not have her daddy, Billie returns with Ciara, who rushes to her mommy. They embrace. Billie watches the happy reunion. - At the mansion, Nicole hears from EJ that billions of dollars are missing. Every last penny! She notes he did not need the money but he complains fatha was the one who took it. He only wanted to prove that he is not ready to take over the family business, that he is a fool. EJ thinks he was a fool to assume he ever believed in him or respected him. He never will. Nicole gives him a sympathetic look. She reasons his father does love him, but he does not believe it. She does not grasp why he wanted him to lose. EJ points out he wants to be the only one who has control. He sighs he had wanted to redeem the family name, yet he also wanted to make his father proud. Nicole snaps that was his loss then. EJ is dismayed he is shedding a tear over his own failures. Nicole insists he is not a failure. He recalls how he was living an idyllic life, only to be called to the empire of Stefano DiMera. Nicole tries to make him feel better by recounting how bad her own biological father was. His opinion did not matter to her, just as Stefano's should not matter! EJ concedes she is right. However, he will first prove he is wrong and he is indeed worthy of the DiMera name. Nicole places a hand on his shoulder and urges him not to. She fears he would only destroy himself in the process. EJ turns to her, murmurs to tell him she still loves him, and gets closer and closer. Nicole swoons.
