Kate turns on the light and informs him cook wants to know their dining plans. She looks at the chess board and warns him not to expose his queen. She notices he is upset, given he made such a basic mistake. She knows he is thinking of what Alice put in the envelope. He grumbles she is rrrrrrright. Kate reassures him it is nothing compared to the hell he has created for Marlena and John. He gleefully adds Bo and Hope and grins when Kate purrs the past is coming back to haunt them. He chuckles about Mr. and Mrs. John Black - John and Hope! However, he insists he is not worried about the envelope from Alice, for what you do not know does not hurt you. He pours himself a drink and asks about work. She is glad she hired Sami, who has good ideas. Stefano hands her a drink and doubts it. That one is her mother's daughter. - At the condo, Bo, Hope, John, and Marlena discuss the validity of the marriage certificate from Alamania and what Carrie will soon say on the matter. Marlena remains concerned but Hope claims this will not succeed in causing any trouble. John and Bo share Marlena's sentiment that there could be more and the phoenix should not be underestimated. In fact, they suspect he is expecting them. Marlena feels they should pay him a visit together. - Madison leaves someone a message to call her back, then opens her door to suited Brady, who presents her with a bouquet of red roses. She is holding her cell phone. He notices. She claims she was leaving a message for a distributer and gushes about the flowers. He is suited up, with a stylish purple shirt, blue tie, and wants his date to clear her plate tonight. In fact, they have a reservation. She teases he is sure of himself. He grins he is indeed and the kiss. She soon emerges in a sparkling grey dress and he is thrilled. He appreciates that she turned down the Titan job so they could spend time together. She assumed he wanted her to take it. He just wants her to be happy. They agree to have no regrets and she holds him tight, as if she somehow senses their bliss is to destined to be short-lived. - Nicole joins EJ in their grand DiMera bedroom. He is looking through papers with a frown. She assures him the polls are not that bad. EJ pouts he is not running for mayor as of right now! She cannot believe it. He rubs his forehead and shakes his head. He insists he is still in the race but does not want to talk politics anymore. The time has come for a reprieve. He grins he would rather talk about his beautiful wife and puts an arm around her. She agrees the PR person is gone. He starts to kiss her and she kisses him back, elated. He gazes at her and they lie on the majestic bed together. After the loving, she lies in shirtless EJ's arms and he lovingly taps her nose. He holds her hand and whispers he knows he is lucky to have her. He will not do anything to risk losing her. She smiles and they cuddle. He laughs as he imagines the pair of them being the first family of Salem. She thinks they will knock them dead and kisses him yet again. He later holds her close and she exclaims she happens to be hungry! So is he. She is ready for dinner but advises him to save some room for dessert. Nicole now goes to get dressed and EJ grins like a man who has it all. - Downstairs, the doorbell rings as Kate argues Sami is not like Marlena. Bo, Hope, John, and Marlena solemnly enter. Kate taunts them on how devastating the news must be. Stefano taunts he tells his wife everything and notes it was a horrible way for John’s wife to find out, was it not? Bo growls the games will never work. John wants to know what is in it for him after all these years. Hope declares the piece of paper is no more than an annoying technicality. Stefano sarcastically laughs they do not need him. Marlena calls this all ancient history, which can be dealt with legally. Stefano retorts then there was no reason to lock it up all those years ago. Furthermore, if they rrrreally believed that, they would not be here! - Brady has reserved the table at the town square café where he first met Madison. It is night and the place is beautifully decorated. He has ordered her favorite foods in advance. They begin with her favorite champagne. He drawls only the best for his lady tonight. He wishes to make it a night to remember! Their waiter pours the champagne and then discreetly gives them their privacy. Brady toasts the most beautiful women he has ever met. She blushes and they drink up. He wants to say something. She teases he must be trying to woo her to Basic Black, with the candles and champagne. No, but there is something. Brady feels like he has known her forever and proceeds to repeat how he had given up on finding love. However, now he thinks about her all the time and it makes him happy! He knows it is right, so he must act on this. She stares. He adds no one has ever made him feel this way. He now gets down on a knee and takes her hand, placing a diamond ring on it.
