He stares at a picture of himself and Gabi on his phone. Knock knock! Tis Sonny with a smile. He asks what flick he wants to see. He explains he has a date who might want to see one of the films playing nearby. How about they watch a movie here? He hopes Will is not uncomfortable. Will suddenly asks how someone knows when they are gay. He quickly adds he is just curious about how Sonny knew. Sonny explains he was always drawn to superheroes from comics and cute guys on TV. He never thought about it. Will brings up girls. Sonny remarks that came later. He eventually decided to hang out with girls but was drawn to the guys around them. He felt like he was living a lie and instead of dealing with it, he did something terrible. Every birthday he would wish that gay Sonny would go away and he would be like everyone else. Will is sympathetic. Sonny explains there is no AHA moment, when one says "Give me Prada!" Fact of the matter is he simply hated being different. Will wonders what he was most afraid of. That he could not live the life he had envisioned for himself, with a wife, kids, house. Will quietly admits that would freak him out too. Sonny sagely states the worst part for him was that he had no one to confide in. He sighs it is hard. He used to break up with girlfriends when he thought they could sense the truth. Will points out he is no loner as he has plenty of pals. Sonny confesses before he came out, it was different. He gives Will an intense look and states there are still people out there who cannot be themselves. Will gets teary-eyed and wonders what if telling the truth hurts people. Sonny pauses. It is not always easy. His friend Tyler had a lot of screaming from his dad, but they are good now. Coming out means no more hiding and shame. He got closer to his family when they learned the truth. Will thinks he makes it sound easy. He really wants to believe him, but does not! He shakes his unhappy head. Sonny has an answer to that ... - Madison joins Brady at the pub. He asks about her meeting with Sami. She admits she has been having second thoughts about using her as a mole. She is sorry she did it and lied to him. She fears the whole thing might make him have second thoughts about their relationship. Brady tenderly promises she will not lose him over this. She insists on pulling the plug on operation destroy Kate. Brady smiles. But how will she get Sami out? She assures him she will manage, it will be okay. This means a great deal to him. She gushes that for the first time, she cares about something more than business - him! Brady gazes across the table at her. She laughs she cannot believe she has been reduced to this. He admits he does not know what would have happened had she not come along. Things could not be better. He decides no one has ever gotten him like she does and gives her a kiss. - At the house, Abigail has an exciting announcement for parents Jack and Jen. She got an internship at Mad World, plus they want her to model. Jack thinks it is tremendous but Jen laments she would prefer if she had gone and gotten herself preggers! She does not want her to model and live on smokes and water. Besides, she has all her classes. Madison James will understand when she says NO. Abigail blinks and becomes petulant. She is not asking for permission! Jen begs to differ. Jack asks more about the job. She tells them of the ad campaign with real people. She will be modeling with Melanie, all traveling expenses paid. Jen snaps will Madison support her after she flunks out of college? She FORBIDS her to take this job! Abigail haughtily points out she is a legal adult. Jack agrees. However, she should consider her mother's concerns. Jen and Abigail continue to bicker. Jen fears that she will be exploited by creepy people and recalls the website incident. Abigail will not be stopped. Jen snaps if she takes the job, she has no place here and will have to move out! Abigail cannot believe it but Jen insists they will not pay for college classes she does not attend. Jack agrees this seems to have come out of nowhere. Abigail insists she wants to do something new and exciting that gets her noticed as a woman. Jack does not like the sound of that! Jen talks r-e-s-p-e-c-t. Abigail talks modeling. She has had enough of her mother's drama and storms out, after claiming she will get her own place with the money she makes. Once she has gone, Jack is exasperated. What was Jennifer thinking ...?! - Rafe and Carrie are having fun at the office playing cards. Rafe is dismayed they have no work, despite the promises from some people. They could go home and call it a day. Carrie would rather not go home and fight with Austin. Rafe makes a joke about fighting with Sami. Back to the cards. Ring ring! Tis Carrie's law firm and they do not bear good news. Their funding has been cut due to a lack of clients. Rafe laments they are now officially out of business. Carrie pouts. If only they had had more time! She feels like a failure. Rafe drawls she is amazing in soooo many ways. She blushes he is too. He sighs he will work security detail for Abe. And her? She still has a spot on the firm in Switzerland. Rafe's face falls. He argues that Austin has his professorship here. And someone in Salem must need a new lawyer. Carrie explains she would have to start out. Rafe does not want her to leave her family and friends and HIM! She giggles it has been fun, but Austin still has his old job back in Switzerland, so maybe it is time to go back. Rafe stares ... Read Part 2 - click here! |
