She walks off, determined to find out what EJ really did ... - At the mansion, Stefano bears news for Elvis The orderly called that Rafael escaped, fell off a cliff, and died. EJ laughs that will teach him to look where he is going! He drawls this is very tidy and triumphantly declares checkmate on Samantha. Stefano is silent. Taylor enters with a smile on her pretty face and tells them that the kids have been tracked down. Stefano and EJ are elated. The phoenix goes to tell Katherine. Tay is uncomfortable to be left alone with lovestruck EJ. Outside the room, Stefano mutters he cannot understand ... Kate walks through the front door and he shares the news of Theo and Ciara. However, Lexie did not tell him and Elvis warned him he was on thin ice. He complains about his children. Kate mentions wanting to see Lucas halfway across the world. But for now, they should get out of the house. Stefano is all for it ... Back inside, Tay notes EJ seemed to be in an intense conversation with his father. EJ admits it involved her. She repeats she is leaving. He now suggests that Nicole should be the one to go. He has already told fatha that he is divorcing Nicole. Taylor will not let him! He and Nicole should go back to how they were once upon a time. EJ refuses, for he loves her. Tay points out Nicole loves him and they have a family with the kids. EJ emotionally replies he must do the right thing as he loves her too. He looks deeply unto Tay's eyes. Taylor thinks he could practically have a new woman he loved every month! She is still upset she almost made love with her sister's husband. EJ explains he loves many things about Nicole, though he is not in love with her. He is in love with Taylor. Tay thinks what he is doing to Nicole would do terrible emotional damage. EJ explains the damage has already been done. Besides, he told her from the start that it was a business arrangement. Then she went and fell in love with him! He cannot live a lie. He and Nicole will never happen and she has a right to know that. He argues that he made her give up Brady to marry him. He will allow her to continue her relationship with the children and she will be free. Taylor wishes ... EJ concludes she wishes she never met him. That would have been the only way to prevent what happened. It is bigger than them and was meant to be. He does not wish to hurt her sister but she would come out of this on top. Nicole will be financially rich, living happily ever after with Brady. Tay laments she will hate her forever. Such a betrayal! EJ quietly suggests she do what is right for her. He kisses her on the forehead and turns to walk out. Taylor calls after him to wait, her teary eyes filled with torment. - Nicole rejoins Chloe at the Cheatin Heart and lets her drinking pal know she will find out the truth about EJ! Something strange has just happened. While on a walk, she saw Vivian with flunky Gus and promptly hid. Viv was discussing a mysterious prisoner in the DiMera basement. Chloe looks shocked. Nicole remembers how there was a commotion about the basement, prior to Rafe's accident. Viv knew not who the prisoner was, but she believes it was Rafe! Stefano and EJ probably did it together, just like what Stefano did to John Black way back when! Chloe thinks Rafe would have mentioned it. Nicole deduces he does not remember. After all, John Black was made to forget. The DiMera might have done the same to Rafe. Chloe still has her doubts. Nicole insists Rafe is not acting like Rafe. Maybe the dastardly DiMeras did something to control him, like something mechanical. Chloe eats her olive. Nicole shows her the DNA report of the prisoner in the basement. If it matches Rafe, she will be able to prove what Stefano and EJ did! Chloe wonders if she is not afraid of EJ knowing what she knows. Nope, as she is his wife. "Until death do you part!” glumly states Chloe. Nicole tells her not to say that. Nevertheless, her mind starts to wander. She remembers Fay's death before spilling the secret. Chloe suggests she burn the paper and forget about it. Nicole cannot stop wondering how EJ managed to change Rafe into a man Sami could not bear to live with. Fay knew, but now she is dead. Chloe gets them more martinis and Nicole suddenly states her pal was right. Therefore, there is no need to repeat this conversation. It never happened! Chloe is relieved. Nicole decides to go home and surprise EJ. Chloe eats another olive. - On the road to Centerville, replay of Rafe 2 angrily grabbing Theo as Bo appears. "Daddy!" calls Ciara. Bo assures her that she was NOT to blame for his and Hope's issues. They are working things out, but would never be happy without her. He gets choked up that his daughter is the most precious person in the world. They exchange I love you's. Bo now praises Theo for being there for Ciara, making sure she was not alone. He must have been scared. Theo nods. Bo insists that running away is never the answer. Ciara promises not to do it again. Bo hugs her tightly. He calls Hope. Rafe 2 is tense. Bo hands Ciara the phone and she and Hope say "I love you." Hope cannot wait to see them! - Lexie is on the phone with Stefano, who is standing outside the pub with Kate. Lexie would rather he not come over yet. Theo will need time. Stefano gets off the phone and complains to Kate. At least the lad is safe and sound, even though they are shutting him out. He decides to call son Chad to update him. Kate points out he is in the pub. The phoenix calls it serendipity. Kate adds he is with Abigail. Meanwhile ... Chad decides to call Lexie, but his phone rings. Tis Kate, with news of Theo being found. She also has a favor. She needs help with a texting problem on her phone and she is at the pier. Chad agrees to help. Kate informs Stefano that the first phase of the mission has been accomplished and waltzes off. Stefano thanks her. He enters the pub and charmingly joins Abby. She suspects he wants to twist her arm about Chad! He does not want him working at the hospital for the summer. The phoenix admits he does indeed want him to work for him instead. For Chad's sake. He will not accept any of his money for necessary tuition, as his honor and independence are important to him ... - At the pier, Chad has just finished helping Kate with her bogus texting problem. He wonders why she really wanted to see him! She muses he is indeed his father's son and saw through her. She now pretends she did not want him to return to the house, given that EJ intends to ask Nicole for a divorce. Chad cannot believe his timing. Nicole recently lost her mother. Can't she talk to Stefano and get him to have EJ back off a little longer? Kate purrs Stefano is loathe to interfere in his children's lives ... - At the station, Hope, Ciara, Bo, Theo and a quiet Rafe 2 are in a room. Hope thanks him, assuming he found the runaways, and goes to take the kids for something to eat. Bo wonders how he really found the kids. Rafe 2 states he will explain. He has been having trouble since the accident, as Roman knows. He was feeling overwhelmed and had been doing a lousy job at the station. He asked for a leave of absence just when the kids went missing. Boss Roman freaked out and he realized he was right. So he took it upon himself to cover all the bases and search for them, He recalled a similar case when a kid took off on a delivery truck. Bo brings up his tight grip on Theo. Was he worried he would take off again? Rafe 2 claims the boy was giving him attitude and did seem ready to bolt. Bo buys it and thanks him from the bottom of his heart. - At the Brady house, Rafe 2 later reluctantly joins the Carvers, with Bo, Hope, and the kids for a celebration. Lexie emotionally thanks him. Bo offers him a beer. Hope excuses herself for a moment. She is looking forward to tucking in her little girl tonight and reading her a story. She assures her that she and her daddy are back tougher. Ciara had assumed she was trouble. "Never," insists Hope. It was a misunderstanding. And next time there is a problem, she should tell her so they can clear things up. They hug and Hope whispers it is so good to have her back. Rafe 2 observes. The party gets underway with cupcakes. When Rafe 2 is alone with the kids, he informs them he HAD been looking for them. Ciara quips that is not what he said. He puts icing on her nose and wins her over. Hope and Bo cannot help but admire how great he is with kids! - Later on, down at the pier, Stefano and Kate are surprised to see Chad, who did not remain at the pub with his little friend. He explains he got the impression that Abigail did not want him around for the summer after all, and accepts Stefano's summer job offer. He departs and Kate purrs that Stefano is the master! - Back at the Cheatin Heart, slightly sloshed Chloe opens an envelope from the court ... - At the Brady door, Rafe 2 is about to leave, until Bo pleasantly orders him to go to the station to give his official statement. He cannot leave town just yet! - In some bushes far far away, the real Rafe sits up, with scratches on his face. He looks up from where he fell, and he is very much alive ...! - Back at the mansion, Tay cannot deny she loves EJ. He takes her face in his hands and murmurs then it is settled. The moment is intense. They are in the midst of kissing passionately when Nicole silently opens the door. Her mouth falls open ...! Next on Days of Our Lives Thursday Preview 1 Justin sits with Chloe, but she yells at him "Leave me alone, Justin!" and sends things flying off the table. Thursday Preview 2 EJ is on his phone with Nicole as Taylor watches. "There's something I need to talk to you about. Something important!" Thursday Preview 3 Adrienne faces Carly. "Is everything okay?" "I'm in big trouble!" laments Carly. |
