CAKE BOSS - Part 2 - Bo and Hope busily open the mysterious envelopes.They contain bank statements with a number and the same amounts deposited every month, then withdrawn a few days later. An overseas account, but who was making those deposits and withdrawals? Hope later gets off the phone, having found out that this was a clearing house account that has been around for decades. Bo notes it must belong to one of her grandparents. Hope has never heard of it. What a strange way to keep a secret! - EJ and Nicole talk about the party. She admits the real reason she came was to see Sydney and Johnny. EJ blinks and asks if she did. Indeed, and they were happy. She airily adds there is also an open bar. EJ sarcastically wonders if she is not there to celebrate the famous married couple Alice and Tom. Nicole the romantic thinks they were lucky. It is wonderful to find someone to spend the rest of your life with, someone who loves, understands, accepts you as you are. She dramatically declares she wants that, gets choked up, and bitterly wishes him good luck with the millionaire matchmaker. She walks away. EJ sighs, unable to stop her. - Abigail joins Jen. It would be perfect if her dad was in attendance, but alas, he is nowhere to be seen! Jen wants to put the rejection and anger caused by Jack behind them. Adrienne thinks it will be easier with her handsome doctor. Mel boasts he is her dad. Dan now approaches and wants a word with the fair Jen. He takes her hand and leads her away. Still concealed behind some leaves, Jack wants to know where they are going. - Chloe is saying her last goodbye to Brady and Nicole. She just wishes she did not have to go alone. Kinsey steps forward and asks what if she went with her. Chloe smiles. Kinsey babbles she could watch Parker for her if she needed. Chloe is all for it. Kinsey excitedly races home to pack. Chloe is not sure how to say goodbye to Brady. He quietly tells her not to, asks her to knock them dead for him, and they embrace one long, last time. - Dan takes Jen to a private spot where the party cake stands. They are holding hands. Jack is now watching from above, hiding on the stairs. Dan tells Jen he loves her and kisses her. He feels this is the right time to say that he is ready for a bigger commitment to her. He wants her smile to be the last thing he sees at night, the first thing he sees in the morning. She touches his face. Jack's mouth falls open. - Back at Horton house, Bo and Hope conclude the mysterious bank account belonged to Alice, though she never mentioned it. Why the secrecy? Bo has a pretty good idea. He would deduce as a detective that there is only one conclusion. Hope is already thinking the same thing. Could someone have been blackmailing Alice Horton? - Back at the bash, Austin and Carrie are dancing and she wishes they could stay longer. This place feels like home. He thinks home is where she is and they kiss. Meanwhile John and Marlena slow dance She has missed all these fine people. John murmurs it goes by so fast and holds her in his arms. Marlena wants him to make contact with Brady before ... John wonders if they should also tell everyone the other reason they are here. Marlena replies no and sadly states they are all having such a good time. Let them enjoy it as long as they can. - Dan is ready to talk about the future with Jen. Jack fails to notice when someone brushes by him. He loses his balance and falls unceremoniously into the cake. Dan stares at the man on the now flattened cake. "What the hell?" mutters the doc. Jen stares in disbelief at her cakified husband as he feebly waves and says hello. She is ready to box his ears. “JACK!” Next on Days of Our Lives Jack tries to tell Jennifer he loves her and wishes she would listen, but she snaps "You don't love anybody, you love yourself, Jack!" Abigail arrives. JACK I am not deserting my family. DAN You already did! JEN (with angry Abigail at her side) I want you to go! JACK You're not going to keep me away from my daughter. |
