HERE COMES TROUBLE - Part 2 - The financial adviser refuses to tell Hope anything more and excuses himself. - Austin is on his phone, shocked by the only job available to him. He will need to consult with his wife ... - Rafe is with John, Marlena, and Carrie at the townhouse. The ankle monitor has been activated. Rafe warns the fewer people know where they are the better. Carrie kisses John and Marlena and exits with Rafe. They appreciate her help. John is proud of her. Marlena sits next to her man and smiles it is so good to be home. She missed this place and is glad it was not sold. He laments this is a mess, but she points out they have survived messes before. They will survive this one too! - Madison get off a videoconference call and thanks her associate in Japanese. She has concluded a major deal. Brady thinks it was a slick touch that she is donating a portion of her Japanese profits to earthquake victims. He decides they should have some champagne. Madison quips she is too busy, with contracts to go over. She starts to get up, but falls and he catches her in his arms. Pause. Brady drawls he is used to having women fall in his lap. She is rendered breathless for a moment, then laughs she does not fall for anyone, stands up, and walks away. Brady considers. - EJ stops Nicole from leaving and requests a minute of her time. He is sorry if this appears romantic, with the dinner and champagne. Nicole retorts it is like he wants to get lucky. EJ insists he only wants to discuss strategy over their private little dinner. The champagne is to celebrate her new job and also his scheme, which will make him a working class hero, a champion of the underdog. Nicole finds that funny. He grins that is his new image. It is her job to make people believe it ... - Carrie joins Austin at the pub. They have wine and she updates him on the John situation. She has started going over the D.A.'s case and admits it is compelling. Whoever set John up was good. He marvels he knows she will get to the bottom of it, but becomes tense when she asks about his day. There is something they need to talk about. As it turns out, the only assignment he can get in town is if he remains on John's case ... Before they can discuss the matter further, a man enters and serves Carrie with papers. She opens the document and laments things have gotten even worse! - Marlena comes out of the shower in her robe. John's shirt is open. He kisses her and hands her a glass of champagne, murmuring the steaks are marinating in the kitchen. He had this planned for last night. He has been wanting to be with her like this for a long time and would like to go forward. She smiles so would she. He whispers he loves her and kisses her passionately. Moments later, Rafe interrupts with a bit of bad news. He hands John a document. John reads it over. Tis a class action lawsuit against him, filed on behalf of the plaintiffs by EJ DiMera! - Bo and Hope walk and talk at the town square. At least they know Mrs. H's name is on the account, which is still active. They deduce that Alice had to know about the bank account, but was she really aware of the truth? - Sami is back at home, trying to go over work files. She also has mom chores to do, preparing dinner for the kids, and is stressed. There are not enough groceries at home! Peanut butter sandwiches should suffice. She sighs and plops back down on the sofa. How will she do this? - Back at the mansion, EJ pours the bubbly for himself and Nicole. He gets a call that John and his attorney just got served. He toasts Nicole his new PR woman."To the future mayor of Salem," she coos. Clink! Next on Days of Our Lives "What are you doing? These are my files, Austin!" snaps Carrie as she grabs them away "Would you please understand where I'm coming from! I'm doing the best that I can!" Austin complains to Carrie Sami and Rafe can only watch as Carrie argues about emotional support, Austin argues about needing to make money for his family. "Enough!" commands John. |
