READY TO BLOW - Part 2 - Marlena is enjoying her breakfast at the outdoor cafe as John steps away to get the New York papers. His phone rings with an incoming call. Tis Kristen again, telling him in a message that Brady is in hospital, ready to leave, despite doctor’s orders. He needs a ride home or at least someone to talk some sense into him! Meanwhile, shirtless Brady is getting ready. Marlena stares at the phone and marvels the woman is obsessed. She deletes all messages again! - Back at the hospital, shirtless Brady suddenly collapses and Kristen catches him in her arms. - Kayla pours casual customer Abe a coffee. She insists he and Theo must come for Thanksgiving. He thanks her as it will help. When Kayla gets back to work, Hope asks Abe if something is the matter. He sighs Theo has not been speaking about his mother and he has concerns he might start withdrawing again. He now asks about Caroline’s treatment. Kayla is optimistic it will help and notes she must get to work. Amazed Abe does not know how she does it. Kayla credits new employee Nick for being a great help. He has moved on from the past, and Gabi sure seems to think so! Hope is pleased to hear they are an item. - Gabi claims to have a flu bug. Nick kisses her on the head, lest he get the germs, and advises her to rest. “I love you.” Exit Nick. Gabi closes the door and leans against it. What she has is not contagious. She only wishes she could share her news with him! Knock knock. Tis Will. Stressed Gabi hugs him in relief. - Kristen helps shirtless Brady back to bed and he agrees perhaps he should stay a while longer. He insists he could have gotten himself back in bed. Kristen teases he is just like his stubborn dad. She goes out to get a new carafe of water, as he broke this one in his fall. He stops her and thanks her. She points out she was only returning the favor as he came between her and the two muggers. Brady has but one request. For her to leave his family alone. Kristen pouts, says to shut up, and flounces out of the room. - As Marlena continues eating, John puts down his paper and suggests that after breakfast … Ring ring! Tis Marlena’s phone with the hospital calling. Cam explains he is treating one of her patients, who continues sneaking food from his stash, and the man has an ulcer. She will be right there. Cam points out she will be able to see Brady too, as he is on the same floor. Marlena is now shocked to hear Brady has been in hospital all night, after stopping a mugging in progress and taking a blow to the head. When she updates John, he growls no one bothered to call and they are on their way! - Once they arrive, Cam complains to Marlena that her patient’s ulcer has perforated. John asks about his son. Cam informs him he was hit in the head hard. Marlena must walk off with Cam to attend to her patient. John now heads for Brady’s room and asks his recovering son what happened. Brady tells him of the two muggers. John demands to know why he never called last night after it happened. “I was unconscious,” admits Brady. - Theo is doing artwork on his tablet and Ciara wonders if he wishes his mom could see it. Theo insists she can and she told him. Abe asks when he talks to her. At night, after he goes to bed. Abe kisses his son and is glad he can talk to his mother and also that he has Ciara as his good friend. Hope smiles at her daughter. - Outside Brady's room, Kristen suggests Dr. Cam tie him to the bed! He will check on him and warn the nurses to be on the lookout. Marlena returns and explains her patient is cooperating. Cam wants her to know that if that blow Brady received had been a half inch to the left, John would be visiting him at the morgue! When the doctor steps away, Kristen tells her what happened. She suspiciously notes it is strange that she kept calling John but he did not return her calls! - Sami thanks Rafe for coming. He admires the small but affluent office and states there must be money in cosmetics. He sits across from her desk and concludes she wants to come clean about the message she left him. She announces she is now prepared to tell him the truth. And so he waits. - Will realizes Gabi hardly slept last night. She tidily makes the bed and informs him Sonny was there to offer his help. However, she imagines he would feel less kindly if he knew his boyfriend had impregnated her! Will accepts responsibility. They both do. She complains she has been experiencing morning sickness. Will fears it is only a matter of time until they all find out. Gabi fears they would lose their significant others. She is not ready to be a mom. Not like this. Will thinks he might have an idea. "You wanna get married?" - Abe pensively sips his coffee by the bar and Kayla offers him a refill. He thanks her and admits he had no idea Ciara and Theo were talking. He now asks about Joey. Kayla remarks he seems alright though he misses his father and grandmother. Abe sighs it must be hard. He is concerned he does not share the same connection Lexie had with Theo. Kayla sadly states he never will and he and Theo have a long road ahead. Abe does not disagree. Kayla goes on to assure him that Lexie would be proud of them. - Will cannot help but notice Gabi's sudden silence. She wonders if he really thinks they should get married. If she wants to. She laughs that is not exactly the proposal everyone wants. Will concedes it was a crazy idea. Gabi feels it would not be the right thing. She loves him but is in love with Nick. Will knows. She adds he is in love with Sonny. Will promises her she will never be alone, the way his mother was. He will be there every step of the way for his child. Gabi sits and laments her mother will not be proud of her if she has to stop school and loses her scholarship. Will offers to drop out and get a job. She sighs she can waitress. Will notes there is nothing else they can do but she quietly claims there is ... - Marlena excuses herself to see Brady. Kristen hopes things will not be strained between them anymore as Sami no longer works for her. The blonde gets defensive about what she is trying to prove. Kristen assures her she is trying to prove she is not out to cause trouble. Marlena doubts that and warns she and John will not fall for whatever game she happens to be playing! She now enters the room … John asks Brady whether he got a look at the attackers. Marlena teases him for being Sir Galahad and hugs her stepson. Dr. Cam returns and calls him a true hero for saving Kristen’s life. A frown creases John’s brow. Cam checks the patient’s eyes. All appears to be fine, though he is concerned he became dizzy while standing. Brady makes light of it. Cam leaves to check his scan results. John wants clarification. Kristen did not have the decency to call and tell him his son was in the hospital after he saved her?! Marlena explains she needs to speak with him but it is too late. Kristen walks in, having overheard, and insists she DID call him! John frowns. Marlena gulps. - At the pub, Nick is collecting dirty dishes when he sees Hope. He asks about Mrs. Brady. They are optimistic that she and Bo will be returning soon. Hope also heard a good update about him from his parole officer. Nick credits her and Maggie for their help. Hope now mentions the new girl in his life. Nick gushes he has been waiting for the amazing Gabi his whole life and she is the best thing that ever happened to him! He asks her not to tell anyone about their relationship, however. Gabi’s brother Rafe is rather overprotective ... - Rafe admits he has been worried about Sami. He assumes the problem is EJ. She stands up and stammers EJ has actually been helpful. Then what is this about? Sami leans against her desk and announces this is about Gabi. She was sworn to secrecy but her brother has the right to know ... - Gabi informs Will she has done some research. "I think this is the best solution for everybody." Will looks down at the family planning website she has opened on her computer.His face falls. "An abortion?!" he says in disbelief ... END |
