| DAYS OF OUR LIVES Part 2 Wednesday, May 23, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! TEMPTING THE FATES - Part 2 - Dan has taken Lexie's blood pressure. It is unusually low. She suspects her body is starting to shut down. Now she has only days left to live. Dr. Dan cannot deny it. Lexie implores him not to tell Abe. Dan reminds her that she does not need to bear this on her own. She assures him she is surrounded by loving family and friends, though she does not want them to treat her like it is her last day. She sniffles she would rather keep their hearts lighter so they can enjoy their time together. Dan praises her for her strength and grace. Lexie cries and admits there are days she does not want to get out of bed, days she wants to crash the car, days she wants to scream it is not fair. "Why me?!" Dan wonders how she finds her strength to forge on. From Theo, her little boy. Dan insists she can call him anytime she needs to talk or vent. He will not tell a soul. She sobs and hugs him. He whispers it is okay and holds her close. - Abe will only tell Celeste he blames Stefano for what happened at the station. Celeste goes to get the order. Roman now arrives with the report Abe had requested. He was right. The tunnel in which Andre held Lexie hostage years ago still contains those toxic gases. Abe growls this is all Stefano's fault! Lexie is dying because of DiMera! She was trapped in those tunnels 6 long months and the doctor stated the toxins from there could have killed her. Roman reminds him that Andre was the one who made her a prisoner, not Stefano. Abe reasons that Stefano was the one who brought that psychopath to Salem in the first place! His eyes are filled with hatred. Roman urges his friend not to go after Stefano, as it will not help Lexie. Abe agrees to wait, but once the inevitable happens, all bets are off. He will ensure Lexie is the very last of Stefano DiMera's victims! - At the station, John has no interest in looking at the old files. He admits to Shane he is tired of this and ready to do anything to get DiMera out of their lives. And he means anything! Hope later checks up on Ciara over the phone. Bo wishes they were with her. Hope is upset she could have lost both her parents in the recent explosion. And then there was the time Stefano stole their baby Zack from them and exchanged him with another! Bo wonders how different their lives would have been without Stefano's interference. John shares the sentiment. Marlena lists how her children have also suffered. Bo points out the phoenix will just keep going after them until they put a stop to it. Hope is exasperated. How can they put an end to it? Bo calls that the big question. - Austin asks if Carrie is pregnant. "Apparently," says she. He assumes that is what she had been trying to tell him. Carrie cannot stop him from yelling to the entire pub that the drinks are on the house for they are having a baby! He is thrilled, while she forces a quiet smile, her eyes filled with tears. She explains they cannot be sure yet, but Austin is over the moon. Even more so when Rafe and Nicole walk in. He announces they have good news. Carrie tries desperately to stop him but Austin informs them they are having a baby. He places an arm around Carrie, explains she is pregnant, and kisses her. Carrie sheepishly looks at Rafe, who cannot conceal his shock. - Lexie happily eats the soup Abe and Celeste picked up for her. Dr. Dan must return to the hospital. He assures Abe he is there if ever he needs to talk. Abe wonders how he managed to keep going after the loss of Rebecca. He took one day at a time. Exit Dan. Lexie asks Celeste to find her bucket list. Abe gently suggests she rest instead. She smiles she does not want to miss a single precious moment. She later snuggles with Abe on the sofa and thanks him for the magical day. She feels so loved. He wistfully replies she is. She smiles she wishes they could have danced forever and closes her eyes. Abe sadly states so does he. - Roman joins Shane at the station. The other have four have taken their discussion to the coffee shop. Roman has given Abe the report on the tunnels, but urged him not to do anything. He suddenly looks worried. Shane wonders why. Roman admits he cannot be sure Abe will not try and kill Stefano. This surprises Shane, for Abe is no killer. Roman still feels he could be driven to it, as Stefano seems to be responsible for Lexie's imminent death ... - At the coffee shop, Bo asks the gang their next move. They discuss the mysterious coin. Hope suggests they venture to Italy to track down the jeweler. John thinks that was more a personal matter for the phoenix. Hope admittedly hates they are the ones waiting for their enemy to make the next move. Meanwhile Marlena has a terrible feeling that Stefano is planning something so horrible that this time someone really will die! John promises to take care of her. The blonde, however, fears that the phoenix might be invincible, unstoppable. Bo drawls if he is stopped, it will be no thanks to judicial system, which has failed them. John declares they are out of options. The time has come to stop DiMera themselves! Hope considers. Bo slowly nods. - Rafe forces a smile for the happy couple, as Carrie looks at him with longing. Austin is elated at how things worked out. Their kids can play together! And how ironic that they are the first people to hear the news from them, before their family and other friends! Nicole pleasantly offers her congratulations and decides she is not craving chowder after all. She would rather have the garlic mashed potatoes at the café. Austin finds that funny and laughs about Carrie's future cravings. Carrie mutters she has not been to the doctor yet, as she only learned the news from the test. Nicole happily ushers Rafe out the door. Austin hopes Carrie is not mad he spilled the beans. He loves her so much and kisses her. Carrie tries to kiss him back. Outside the pub, Rafe stares numbly in shock as Nicole observes him ... END |
