Sami has a look at the concoction he is presently stirring. Lucas admits it seemed easier online. He was hoping to invite Will but suggests she have a one-on-one with him instead, as his dinner idea was a bust. He wonders how she will approach things with him. And how was her alone time? Sami confesses she was not alone. Lucas plays along. "Really?" She dabs at the sauce on his face, then admits she was with EJ. It was an accidental meeting and he did provide some advice regarding Will. Lucas mischievously grins he already knew, for he spied them together at the town square. He laughs and Sami pushes him, calling him a jerk. The mood is light. - At the town square, Marlena and Hope sip coffee and giggle as folks notice they are alive after all! They believe the terror of Stefano is finally behind them. The pair see Rafe and wonder where Carrie went. Marlena goes to ask him just that. She now learns from Rafe that Carrie left with Austin to talk. Marlena also realizes Carrie has not spoken to Rafe about a certain matter yet. He wants to know what she means. Marlena catches herself and replies she was rather under the weather. Meanwhile, Hope runs into Abe and updates him on Stefano's arrest. He is concerned about Lexie, but feels it is high time! He congratulates Rafe for his involvement. Hope wonders what is taking the men so long to join them here for the celebration ... - In their hotel room, Austin kisses overwhelmed Carrie. She suddenly doubles over in pain with a cramp. Austin becomes worried. What is the matter? Carrie gasps it is nothing. She thinks she caught a flu bug. Austin is concerned. She wants to go somewhere so she is not cooped up in here and he heads out with her. - At the police station, The CIA agent demands Stefano's immediate release. Roman snaps the man cannot decide that. Stefano drawls he can and he did. Bo argues they had to get the scum off the streets. The CIA man arrogantly warns they are way over their pay grade. Lexie wants to know what is going on and asks her father. He will only say that he can now be here for her. John growls at Stefano that he is going nowhere! He will not be set free. The CIA man is testy. This is not a debate, for these are orders. Bo grumbles he has not seen the evidence. The CIA agent states as far as the government is concerned, Stefano DiMera is as pure as the driven snow. The others scoff. EJ congratulates the phoenix on a job well done. Roman, John, and Bo continue to argue with the CIA man. Lexie asks for clarification. The CIA agent announces that Stefano was approached by them and asked to go undercover. He has actually been working for the CIA and was given immunity for all his crimes in exchange. Bo calls him evil slime. He cannot believe he was asked to do this. Stefano grins he reports directly to the CIA. He has been buying arms from traffickers to help eliminate security threats to their country. EJ muses he now fancies himself a patriot. John leers the son of a bitch will not get away with this. Stefano taunts he already has and makes a snide remark about the ISA and CIA's lack of communication. John lunges to attack but Roman holds him back and tells him NO! Bo takes him aside to calm down. Now that the "beast" has been moved away from him, Stefano charmingly requests Roman remove his handcuffs. Roman exclaims he will not. Furthermore, he must verify the story of Agent I don't give a damn who he is! Meantime, the prisoner may not be released. Roman now approaches John for help in getting something, somehow putting an end to this. Stefano is sat back down and grumbles. EJ suggests he take Lexie elsewhere but she refuses to leave. EJ now makes a call ... - At the town square, Abe gets a phone call. He asks EJ what the problem is. EJ calmly summons him to the police station. Lexie needs him. He is on his way! - Carrie and Austin enter the pub together. Kayla welcomes her home with a hug and adds she heard the good news about Stefano being arrested. Kayla suddenly notices she appears pale. Austin explains she said she might have a bug. Carrie decides to go to the store for something to make her feel better. She suggests Austin order for them and hastily exits, then pauses in front of the door, a nervous hand on her stomach. - Lucas has taken Sami out for dinner. They enjoy their drinks and talk Will. She laments he is not answering her calls and asks Lucas to attempt to speak with him. Lucas already did and recommends she give him time. Sami complains even EJ could see their son was gay. Lucas admits he did not know either. Sami points out he was miles away in Hong Kong, unlike her. She should have known! She now brings up how Lucas spied her with EJ, then waited for her to tell him. Was it a test? He pretended like he did not know. Lucas grins and calls it funny. Sami quips since he acts the same no matter what she does, she might as well go back to lying. Lucas insists she not lie, then alludes to the fact that it did initially bother him to see her talking to EJ so closely. And Will would not have been happy to see it. Sami regrets how she handled her reaction to their son coming out. Lucas, however, was awesome in her book. Sami bites her lip and insists she does not want to blow it - with Will or Lucas! - Hope, Marlena, and Rafe become concerned that they have not heard from the gang at the station. Rafe spies Carrie rummaging through her handbag and asks if she is alright. She is clearly stressed. - At the pub. Kayla has coffee with Austin. She informs him how happy she is to see him with Carrie. And Stefano is finally locked up! Austin nervously notes he wants things to be back the way they were before, when they were all happy. He and Carrie have loved each other since forever. She is the most amazing woman. Kayla smiles he sounds like a man in love. Indeed and he now regrets ever being conned by Sami all those years ago. "I was an idiot!" He does not wish to make the same mistake again. Kayla wonders what he is referring to. Austin sighs it was tough knowing Carrie was in the safe house with Rafe, then Sami claimed Carrie still had feelings for him. Kayla encourages him to just listen to his heart. He agrees the best is yet to come and they toast to it. - Carrie is surprised to see Rafe. Rafe is surprised to hear she has not told Austin about them yet. Hope calls over for Rafe to come and listen to something. He will be there in a moment. Carrie is stressed about having to hurt Austin. Rafe assures her he loves her and they will be together. She loves him too and is soon gone. Marlena now approaches Rafe and solemnly states he will not believe this! - John is on the phone blasting a high ranking contact for giving Stefano immunity. His efforts prove futile. Roman has not had any luck with the governor either. This thing came from Washington. John gasps the evil one is gonna walk. Why did they pick him? Roman explains they needed someone evil the arms dealers would believe. John curses, then realizes they are out of options. Meanwhile, more trouble slowly brews at the station ...
