Victor claims he meant she is out of his league and he does not deserve her, but the redhead is no fool. She demands the truth and nothing but! He plays innocent and suggests he was joking. Maggie asks butler Henderson to give them their privacy. He does. Victor notes she is upset and reminds her it is his birthday. She wants him to stop. He thinks she is overreacting but she knows he was not joking. "You are keeping something from me, Victor." She acknowledges that it is his prerogative to keep his secrets and bitterly adds she should not have assumed he would be honest with her! "Happy Birthday," snaps the redhead. She storms out, slamming the door behind herself. - At the town square, it is night, and the French festivities have ended. EJ wonders how Lexie enjoyed her afternoon in Paris. It was delightful! Where is Abe? He went to pay the vendor, while Cameron took Theo home. He now asks how she likes her new brother. She teases he seems jealous. EJ now notes when he saw her dancing with Abe, she looked so carefree. She praises EJ for making her dream come true, then sighs she wishes father could have been there. She was unable to reach him. He must have other things on his mind. EJ stares. He tries to make Lexie feel better by assuring her she means much to fatha. She hastily remarks they both do. Ring ring! EJ answers his phone. He frowns at the news he receives. - Austin is sitting at his desk in his hotel room when Billie drops by. He wants to know if she has any idea when Carrie and the others will be done playing hide and seek with Stefano. She has no information. Austin exclaims he wants his wife back. It is driving him utterly insane having to pretend she is dead! Billie discovers he has been doing some real estate research. He insists he and Carrie need a place of their own in Salem. Billie reminds him that earlier, Carrie was not keen on a nursery or play yard attached to a house. Austin is sure things are different, given his recent visit to the safe house. He is convinced this is a good time for them to start a family. Billie smiles that twins run in their family. Austin would be fine with that. He explains he and Carrie have even picked out baby names in the past. Things like school, careers, living abroad just kept getting in the way. Billie questions whether they are really ready to settle down. Austin is rather desperate not to let their chance slip away. Billie implies he is rushing. Austin, however, is certain that Carrie feels the same way. - Carrie does not think she is pregnant but Marlena gets her wondering. However, her cycle can be off when she is stressed. She informs Marlena that she and Rafe never ... Marlena knows. Marlena now asks about her trying to give Austin another chance. Carrie insists she did try. Marlena warns a pregnancy could make it complicated. Carrie laments she knows. Marlena assures her that she is on her side. Carrie suddenly gets a call from Rafe. "It's over! Stefano's reign of terror is over!" He summons Carrie and Marlena down to the station. This is a time to celebrate! Carrie gushes they got him. Marlena breathes a sigh of relief and they embrace. - Roman informs the now arrested Stefano that they will be here at the station for a while. Rafe laughs that would be an understatement. Bo muses they have enough to put him away for life, no need to worry about the technicalities. The phoenix sits in silence. Hope quips this is a nightmare he will not wake up from. Stefano is booked and fingerprinted. Shane calls him a sight for sore eyes. Stefano gets sarcastic about the return of the Salem six from their grrrrraves. The gang do not think he will get away with his crimes this time. Shane sternly reminds him that trafficking arms is a violation of the Patriot Act. He has had enough of him strutting around like he is above the law! Hope suspects he already knows about the Patriot Act, but felt he was invincible. However, just like the boy in the myth, he got too close to the sun and his wings melted! John observes. Stefano starts to talk mythology. Shane loses his patience and warns him he is in for a rude awakening. Hope leers he lost control of them all and they will never be his victims again! Furthermore, where he is going, he will never see his family again! John taunts him that he will be in a tiny cell. The phoenix smoothly states he hopes they are done for this is becoming tedious. Enter Marlena, who haughtily declares she has not had her say yet! Stefano stands up for his Queen of the Night. He is happy to see her. She retorts she is only happy he will never hurt her family of friends again. The phoenix plays innocent. She accuses him of trying to kill them all. Does he have any idea how painful it was for her to say goodbye to those she loved before she thought they would all perish? Probably not because he has no heart! Marlena calls him a pitiful person. Roman declares they are done. Stefano may make a phone call. The phoenix calls it redundant for the news of his arrest will travel faster. Roman is amused and escorts him to his cell. - Rafe and Carrie walk over to the town square. She is elated. He drawls they got their lives back. Carrie nervously recalls how they said they loved each other. She says it again. So does he. Carrie's eyes are filled with tears. Rafe wants to kiss her, though she stops him. She explains she must speak with Austin first. - Meanwhile, Austin excitedly shows Billie pictures of the houses for sale he has an interest in. Billie is not sure what to say. Austin remarks that Sami claimed Carrie had feelings for Rafe, yet when he saw her at the safe house, he sensed they truly were back on track. Billie chooses the house in the good school district. Ring ring! Tis Carrie, updating her eager husband that it is officially over. Stefano has been arrested. Austin wants to know where she is. He cannot believe his good fortune. She is at the town square. "We need to uh ..." He is on his way, unaware that a happy reunion is the very last thing on her mind ... - Roman leaves suited Stefano in his cell and quips to just ring if he needs anything. Stefano finds himself alone in the small cell, though he is clearly not fussed about the situation. And he has a very good reason. Nothing is as it seems ...
