Sonny wonders how people get through tragedies. He could lose someone tonight! Justin assures him he will not lose Will. Sonny sighs it started like another ordinary day. One forgets that the little annoyances are nothing, the kindness and laughs are everything. Justin agrees Will is extraordinary. He knows Sonny does not want to lose him and dramatically declares Will feels it too. He knows for a fact that he is going to fight like hell to come back to him! Dr. Dan removes his surgical mask and he looks tired. Vargas arrives at the nurse’s station and asks Hope if it is true. Affirmative. Jensen is dead. Vargas remarks she need not blame herself now, then notices Nick sitting alone. Hope watches as Vargas sits beside him. She does not hear when he quietly warns him this changes nothing. He orders him to keep his mouth shut and look at him. Nick raises his empty red eyes. Vargas appears to back down. Maxine now approaches Sonny. Will is out of the woods. He is going to be alright! The news travels fast. Dan enters Gabi’s room and informs the gang that Will is fine, they anticipate a full recovery. Marlena is elated. Lucas and Sami go to see him. Sonny gushes to Justin that Will is okay just as EJ returns. Sonny adds he wants to see him. Maxine is sorry, but only family members ... she decides that is a stupid rule and sends Sonny to the recovery room. She assumes EJ will report her to the board now. Only for a raise, says he! Nearby, Vargas advises numb Nick to leave Jensen in the past. What happened does not make him less of a man. They will talk later. Vargas gets back to Hope. He notes her long face despite the outcome. She still has some guilt. Vargas charmingly calls her a good lady and tells her not to be hard on herself. Sonny goes in to see Will, who is asleep in his hospital bed. He takes his hand and whispers he is here. Hope calls Roman with the good news about Will. Justin happily leaves a message for Adrienne that all is well and their son is a hero. Businessman EJ, also on his phone, orders a fax sent to the Hong Kong office. Maxine now lets him know Will’s room number. EJ points out Samantha is there with the boy’s fatha so he has opted to step back. Maxine thinks that is decent of him. EJ and Justin exchange a look. EJ smirks that decency is fleeting. Back in Gabi’s room, Marlena holds baby Arianna as Kate jokes about what she should call them. Kate wants a picture to send to Billie. Gabi happily agrees. And so baby gets her first photo. Kate gushes she will send a copy to Marlena and everybody. The nurse returns and Gabi asks if she has seen her husband, who has not yet come to visit the baby. As it turns out, Nick is nowhere. He has ventured to the town gate all alone, where he slides down and sits, staring. Back in Will’s room, Sonny cries he should have stayed with him. From now on, they are going to stay together no matter what! He kisses his hand. Sami and Lucas arrive and observe the tender scene, much moved ...END Ahead on Days of Our Lives John mulls over his plan. Will he or won't he?! Sonny, Lucas, and Sami wait for Will to wake up. |
