EJ reasons that Bo and Hope might have planted the information. They did not. Stefano adds he has tried desperately to come up with some sort of explanation to prove it is not true but alas he cannot. EJ insists that he wanted to make him proud for he loves him. Stefano cries to stop. He knows this breaks his heart. It breaks his heart too, for he has lost a son! EJ exclaims he has not lost him. Stefano chuckles he always saw much of him in him. EJ hopefully states he would be most honored to continue calling him fatha if he would still think of him as his son. Stefano's eyes flicker. Nothing in this world would make him happier to feel the same way about it. However, it is simply not possible. EJ stands numbly alone. He tries to argue that nothing has changed. Stefano laments something has indeed changed. "I know that you're not my blood." That is why he cannot continue to be his father. EJ diverts his gaze and grumbles that is not true. He reminds him that Tony was not his biological son. Stefano explains he raised Tony from the time he was an infant. He was taken from him way before he had to worry about his own mortality. EJ gets upset and implores him to make an exception for him as he did for Tony. No luck. The phoenix recounts how EJ kept questioning him and even started to challenge him. EJ remarks that was due to how he treated him. Stefano, on the other hand, feels a true son would have been different. EJ suspects he is really attempting to rationalize shutting him out. Stefano announces much as it is difficult, it is his DiMera duty to ensure that the bloodline continues, as his father did for him. He cries he had a son and now has learned he does not have him anymore. EJ deduces this is no longer his home and glumly goes to pack his things. Stefano asks him to wait. He turns around. - Bo gets chopsticks to help work on the problem without conducting electricity. Rafe holds Carrie, who cries she is scared. Marlena watches. - Kate shouts she is going to be sick! She is disgusted. The insults fly. Lucas puts a shirt on. Sami demands to know what Kate is doing there. She announces she has come to put an end to her tenure at Countess W. Sami snatches the document from her hand. Lucas reads over it as Kate explains the name Countess W does not belong to her legally and so her company is useless! Sami gasps how could Stefano let it happen. Kate leers he does not give a damn about her. Lucas now whips out his own paperwork, including a copy of the contract Kate signed over to Stefano, which included all rights, the name, and logo of Countess W. He taunts that Stefano and therefore now Sami can do whatever they want with the company. Sami suggests Kate leave but Lucas has something to say first. He is onto her! She was just trying to unnerve Sami, for she already was aware of the terms of her deal with Stefano. Kate bitterly snaps she did not realize he would crawl into bed with the little b*tch too. Lucas defiantly declares he and Sami are now together in every way so when she goes after her, she is going after him! She has been duly warned! Kate storms out in a huff. Sami wonders whether that is true. Lucas assures her he is with her in every way now and the pair embrace. Sami kisses him, overwhelmed. - Roman now admits to Kayla he is concerned about everyone at the safe house. He gets Agent Spencer on the phone. Spencer updates him that his boss will be taking over the ISA operation. Roman explains he fears something is the matter at the safe house, as he cannot reach anyone there by phone. Spencer will look into the matter. - John examines the deadly panel and notes DiMera wants them dead all because of that coin. Carrie gasps. Rafe tries to reassure her. Carrie fears the end is near and so many thing have been left unsaid! Rafe insists he is right here. She stammers she wondered if what they felt was real. He drawls what he feels for her is real. She replies what she feels for him is real too. Rafe now decides to tell her the truth. "Nicole's baby ..." John exclaims he needs a hand pronto. Rafe promises to finish soon and joins John at the panel. He cannot see where the circuits are coming or going. Bo solemnly notes they came to the same conclusion. Carrie becomes neurotically optimistic that someone will call and they will then be able to tell them about the problem. Hope gently takes her into the other room. No one has told her that the phones are jammed so before they can warn anyone not to touch any door or window, the bomb will explode. They are stuck in the deathtrap! - Meanwhile, Spencer assures Roman the safe house alarm has been set. Roman will still head over to see for himself. He is on his way ...! - Back at the mansion, Stefano woefully asks EJ not to tell anyone yet. He needs time to release the news in his own manner. EJ bitterly quips yes sir, he understands perfectly, and walks out. Stefano sits at his chess table and breaks down. EJ starts to climb the stairs but then also breaks down, silently sobbing like a man who has lost it all ... END |
