EJ walks by on his phone, sees the pair kissing passionately, and stops dead in his DiMera tracks! He clears his throat and interrupts the moment, adding he wants a word with Samantha about the kids. ALONE. Lucas raises his eyebrows. Sami insists he speak in front of Lucas. EJ points out that Caroline took the children to the zoo. If Samantha had told him she was seeing this one, he might have informed her he would like to spend time with the children. But she never gave him a chance. Sami walks off to talk to him. EJ immediately changes the subject to Lucas, claiming he is concerned how the children will react to their budding relationship. He talks the children and their stability but Sami feels he is overreacting. However, his concern is duly noted. Is there anything else? He casually asks if she happens to know what the piece of evidence was her sister and Rafe found that helped clear John Black. Lucas stares suspiciously from the distance, the basketball in hand. Unsuspecting Sami explains she knows nothing about that and would tell him if she did. EJ grins he does believe her and elegantly takes his leave. Lucas rejoins Sami and frowns. "What was that all about?" She has no idea! - Someone knocks at Nicole's door. She assumes it is Rafe. but it is Brady bearing treats. He heard she was in the hospital. She explains it was just stress. She accepts the cake he offers but passes on the latte. He is baffled. Nicole decides to spill her news. "I'm pregnant hah!" Brady is stunned and musters a congratulations. She sits and admits she is still not sure she will be able to carry the baby to term. He is surprised to hear she is not accepting EJ's assistance. Nicole now fibs that EJ is not the father. She happens to be having Rafe's baby! Brady stares. How did that happen? She is evasive. He still wants to know just what happened. Nicole pretends they found comfort in each others' arms after they learned of Sami and EJ cheating. Brady wonders how someone so smart could do something so stupid. Was she even thinking?! Nicole snaps he should get off his high horse.After all, they did not always use protection! She laments EJ believes he is the father and is demanding a paternity test. Brady suspects it will show EJ is indeed the father. Nicole lets it slip she will not let that happen! Brady looks intense. Nicole talks around the issue by reasoning EJ would want the baby to have his name. He even said he would raise Rafe's child as his own. She, however, will have none of it. She suddenly congratulates Brady on his recent engagement to Madison. He is surprised she heard about it already. She just hopes Madison will not hurt him the way she did. - At the safe house, Rafe starts to talk about time passing slowly, like when he and Sami were ... Bo is impatient. John thanks Rafe for filling in before he leaves. Carrie emerges and announces he cannot leave just yet! - At the mansion, Stefano ominously orders Agent Harmon to take care of everyone. The phoenix grumbles the fools all assume he is on their side but he is not. This must all end today! Harmon smirks. He gets on the computer and causes communications havoc for the safe house. He later makes a call, confirming the security system has been rigged so if anyone tries to get out ... KABOOM! - Rafe is asked to show how the security system works before he goes. He shows the code to arm and disarm the system. If the light is red, they should not go anywhere. But if it is green, they can come and go as they please. He is about to leave but John stops him so they can go over the DiMera situation. Carrie is now about to leave but Marlena stops her. John and Marlena later play cards as Carrie offers Rafe some food. The gang all have plates, but John rages he wants DiMera dead. Bo can relate. Marlena cautions John it would be too dangerous for him to go rogue. The ISA has it all covered. John yearns to see DiMera gasp his final breath! Bo feels frustrated he is like a caged mouse because of Stefano, whom he knows was responsible for his attack. Hope tries to reassure him. Bo now wants her to know that while he was in a coma, he saw Zack. Their deceased son was happy and at peace. Hope smiles warmly, her eyes filled with tears. Rafe finishes his food and decides to depart. Carrie, however, wants him to stay. She wanted to congratulate him on the job with the ISA. He thanks her and points out it might be temporary but at least it gives him the chance to take care of the people he cares about. Carrie praises him and is sorry for the unfortunate manner their partnership ended. He is sorry how it ended for them too. Carrie quips he should have thought of that before sleeping with Nicole! - Back at the mansion, Stefano impatiently drinks, sits in his armchair, and growls at the half coin the ISA tried to dupe him with. He is not amused! EJ returns and Stefano explains he is now busy searching on his computer, trying to find hope for Alexandra. EJ realizes it is a noble cause. Nevertheless, there is something he feels he must bring up. He wants to know what fatha was keeping from him in that drawer. After he left, it was empty. The phoenix stands up and drawls something else has come up and it will have to wait. EJ proceeds to accuse him of sharing information with John Black's team about those little internet outages to get him off the hook he had hung him on. He is feeling very bitter and betrayed. EJ, in fact, is a few mere minutes away from getting the shock of a lifetime ...! - Bo tells Hope how it was very bright and Zack informed him he wanted them to be happy. Then she was there ... - Lucas suspects EJ is just jealous. Sami is confused he wanted to know what evidence Rafe had that cleared John.
