Gabi goes to Rafe and says never to do this again. Austin takes Carrie in his arms. Brady runs to his dad. Marlena holds Will. They explain they must operate underground to let Stefano think he has won. Bo urges them all to keep the secret. - Meanwhile, Kayla, Doug and Julie celebrate back at the pub with champagne, having been informed. They toast to nine lives. - Rafe gives Nicole a friendly hug and asks how she is. She is better now that he is alive. He is sorry for the stress. She explains Daniel was there for her and cries she cannot believe he is alive. She cares about him! Rafe glances at Austin, who is in deep conversation with Carrie across the room. Sami steps up and admits a part of her is glad, though she feels his torturing them with his death was selfish. Rafe explains it was to protect the families. Sami does not get it. He is not sure what she wants him to say. Sami grimaces and steps away. Rafe promises Nicole he will keep protecting her and the baby from EJ. But when he thought he was going to die, he did tell Carrie the truth. Nicole handles it well and notes he loves Carrie. "Lucky girl." He repeats he is still here for her. Nicole thanks him for making her see that there are good guys in the world. She gets choked up and hopes she will fall in love with one. Meanwhile, Carrie apologizes to Austin for making him think she was dead. He understands it was about Stefano, but wonders why exactly she stayed. She looks him in the eye and assures him she had planned to leave. Austin admits he wrongly thought she was there for Rafe. The only thing that matters is she is alive. No need for any explanation, for he is grateful to have her back. Rafe stares as he and Carrie embrace again. Brady has a favor to ask papa John. When all this is over, will he be his best man? John grins nothing would make him prouder! Will and Marlena snuggle on the sofa. She is sorry she put him through this. Will chuckles she is more than his grandma, she is his shrink. John reminds everyone to keep up the façade. Sami suddenly starts to scream about all the grief they caused. Marlena explains that it was necessary. Sami screams about being upset so Lucas tries to intervene. No luck. Sami screams they should have told the families they were okay and now they want them to keep faking it. Carrie tries to interrupt her tirade so Sami makes a comment about her being cozy with Rafe. Roman decides the visit is now over. Carrie is sorry about Sami's snide remark. Austin suggests perhaps he could take her to Switzerland to hide, but she insists on staying. He whispers he will be waiting for her and emotionally hugs her again. Carrie starts to say she must tell him something ... Roman sternly states it is time to go. Austin promises they can talk later and departs. Once all the family members have gone Rafe shuts the door. Carrie stares. - At the park, Harmon smoothly asks Shane why the deaths undermine the investigation. Shane claims Bo, Hope, John, Marlena, and Rafe had all the information and were about to brief him when they died. He asks Harmon to now be the main man for the DiMera investigation. - Billie later catches up with Shane as he walks through the town square, glancing at his watch. She is sorry for what happened. He hugs her and drawls they are all alive. Update to follow. She wonders if they know she is working for the ISA. He mutters not yet. She offers to do what she can. He thanks her and casually keeps walking. Dan has seen the exchange and now approaches Billie to ask about it. Billie pretends they were sharing memories about Bo. Dan is sorry and invites her for a cup of coffee. She would love one and so they walk off together. Also at the town square, Brady has gone for a walk and comes across Madison. She was worried. He insists he is okay but he wishes ... He just wants to hold her, though he says nothing. - Back at the pub, Doug, Julie, and Kayla share the champagne, but Sami is not interested. Austin grins it has been quite a day. He feels like celebrating. With Lucas nearby, Sami wonders if he asked Carrie why she was there when the bomb went off. To help and she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Sami does not think he should believe it! Austin insists he still has a marriage. Sami snaps at him not to be a fool. - Back at the new safe house, Rafe notes Austin was mighty happy to see Carrie. She is feeling guilty about having to break his heart. Rafe starts to have his doubts. Is she sure she still wants to do this? Carrie emotionally declares she wants to be with him. Austin will find someone new, he deserves someone who loves him. Marlena interrupts that Shane and Roman are ready to discuss the next step. Her eyes are filled with worry. At the meeting, Bo talks evidence. Shane admits there is an agent working on the pension funds embezzlement, though so far there is nothing. John sighs it has been two days and they have nothing to show for it. Hope reminds him to be patient. John exclaims DiMera always walks free. Bo points out they will not give up. Marlena asks John where this is coming from. John thunders he has taken enough from DiMera. The buck stops here. They will not be out of danger until THAT SON OF A BITCH IS DEAD ...! END |
