So is Cam, until he gets a call about his declined credit line. Maxine hears. He sighs after the call and complains his credit card was declined when he ordered flowers for Abigail. How can he take her to dinner now! He does not have enough cash. Sympathetic Maxine is also paycheck to paycheck and suggests he tell his sweetheart the truth about his financial problems. Proud Cam would rather make up an excuse and cancel. Meanwhile, at Horton house, Abigail and Jen are getting ready for their respectable dates. Jen puts on her fancy earrings and Abigail looks in her compact. She sighs she is sometimes uncomfortable around Cameron. Jen tries to reassure her love struck, inexperienced daughter. Vargas denies Nicole’s accusation and leers he has done nothing wrong. She gasps to let her go. He reminds her she has the hots for the boss and threatens to expose her for calling out the priest’s name when they were about to have sex. He releases her arm and Nicole stares in disbelief. Enter Father Eric, who feels the tension and gasps what is going on? Nicole fibs they were discussing her being back and how they will make it work. Vargas humbly apologizes again and promises the priest that he and the parish secretary will be professional. Nicole agrees and thanks Eric for his forgiveness. He considers it a closed matter. Vargas righteously agrees and gets back to the basement. Eric worriedly wonders if Nicole is really alright. She replies what Vargas said was true and woefully exits. Eric stares after her, his eyes filled with longing. At the office, Sami kisses EJ a few times and he dances away. She giggles. She realizes the envelope is still on her desk and takes it in her hand just as Kate arrives! Dan has returned to the hospital for something before his date. Jen is on the phone with him, discussing how nervous Abigail is. She was funnily flustered and must really like Cam. After the call, Dan starts to leave. But first Maxine the sage has something to share. Meanwhile Cam arrives at Horton house, ready to pretend he is not feeling well and make his excuses. Stylish Abigail answers the door and he is rendered speechless. She gets her handbag. Jen appears. So does Dan and he announces he and Jen have a surprise. Jen’s favorite chef is in town and she had him make reservations for the young couple! Jen catches on and plays along. Cam is thrilled and thanks them for the dinner tickets, visibly relieved. The young couple are ushered out and happily go on their date. Jen asks about this incredible generosity and she wants the full story! Dan and Jen now remain at Horton house, where they enjoy pizza with Parker and kiss. Jen praises her lover man for his generosity for her daughter and date. She loves him for it. Movie time! The three sit on the couch. Meanwhile Cam and Abigail are seated at the swanky restaurant, where the chef gushes about cooking for them. Cam seductively breathes in the olive oil and flirty Abigail feeds him. She smiles when they are done, they should come up with their own special dessert in private! Eric has a visit from Abe, who shows him the paperwork for potential donors. Nicole arrives and secretly listens as the former mayor reminds the preoccupied priest that the success of the project is dependent on the success of his test case, Vargas. Abe departs. Nicole comes back and Eric asks her to get Vargas. She blurts out he cannot trust Vargas, for he is not who he thinks! The priest soap stares. Man in black Rafe walks along the town square, talking police business on his phone. After he has passed the Horton plaque of Tom and Alice, he runs into EJ, who apologizes for not being able to attend his event. Rafe chuckles it was a shame. EJ chuckles about all the internet postings. Rafe muses he missed his calling but EJ's fiancée sure was a wildcat! EJ forces a smile. Before Rafe saunters off, he thanks him for what he and the others did for Cameron. He now wants to discuss another matter. Samantha! Rafe freezes. Sami puts the envelope down and Kate sarcastically congratulates her on her engagement. She claims to be thrilled. Sami suspects she is glad she will be staying away from her sons. Kate notes Lucas is not interested anyway. Sami thinks she is here to claim her marriage will end in disaster. Kate laughs about how EJ kidnapped her child and she once tried to murder him. Sami stands up and suggests she has no love in her life. Kate smugly wonders why she would think that and implies she has someone. Sami quips she is bored and out of luck in the romance department. Kate pleasantly passes her the pretty purple bag, which contains her very special engagement gift. Nick is on the phone, planning a big investment, He will be there soon with the rest of the money, after his initial online deposit He opens his briefcase and is shocked. "Where the hell is the money!" Kate takes the box with ribbon out of the bag and coaxes Sami to open it. Sami does and looks down at the sleek little gun staring back at her. Kate prettily blinks. "I hope you like the color." Sami gasps.... END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives Gabi confronts Nick. Kate thinks Stefano might know about her affair with Rafe or does he? |
