They have a little time before he has to pick up Theo. She has an idea. How about picking wild blackberries? He laughs that sounds like code for something. She is serious. He is all for it. Abigail blinks and remarks she is a small town girl at heart. Salem is home. Cam agrees there is a lot here. Their eyes lock. They soon return munching on the wild blackberries they have picked together. He teases she has blackberry juice on her face. He wipes it off and they get closer, kissing passionately in the town square. - At the Kiriakis mansion, love is in the air. Relieved Victor admits “I thought I’d lost you.” Maggie smiles he has not. However, there is a condition. “Anything!” says he. She wants Daniel to be told the entire truth about the egg fiasco. Victor agrees they can tell him together. He escorts her to the romantically set table and asks about her appetite. He has missed her. They kiss again and she gushes it is only afternoon but… He knows exactly what she means! - Dan and Brady are back at the town square. The doc suggests he talk to his sponsor Maggie as they await the test results. Brady thinks she is busy. Dan does not believe so and decides they should go together, for he is due for a visit with his mother. Brady gets testy that he wants to hold his hand. Dan assures him he only wishes to to help. Brady appears confused. - Madison insists Brady is the best thing that has ever happened to her and reminds Ian he tried to control her and made her suffer. There is no love lost between them! Ian reminds her how he was there for her when she told him of her tough childhood. He cares, he claims! She argues she will be happy with Brady. Ian inform her that Kate thinks Brady is using and everyone can see he is a mess! Madison points out he took a drug test and therefore has nothing to hide! Ian ominously warns her not to allow Brady to drag her down, for he spent years making her what she is. He would hate to see it go to waste! Madison shudders. - Victor and Maggie are passionately kissing and start for the stairs … KNOCK! KNOCK! Tis Brady and Dan. Brady was hoping for a word with his AA sponsor. Maggie graciously steps in the other room to talk to him privately and notices when he refuses to sit down. He admits he feels jumpy like when he used to be high. He cannot focus or sit still and wants to get something that will make him feel better! Maggie thinks something must be bothering him. He stammers he is fine in his personal and professional life. She folds her arms and suggests he might be afraid of success. Brady exclaims he has loved no one like Madison and he does not want to jeopardize what they have. - Cam steps back, out of breath. Abigail smiles she was disappointed he could not go to Chicago with her. He wants to spend time with her and is glad they had this afternoon. Abigail teases it was lame but Cam insists it was perfect for she made little Theo smile. In addition, he had the chance to be with her. She understands he was not originally impressed with the sleepy town of Salem. City boy Cam admits he only came here to meet his sister. He now gets woeful about not having come sooner. Abigail is sympathetic. He laments it is tough counting the mere days Lexie has left. Sometimes you meet someone and feel as if you have been in that person’s life forever. In fact, he might be staying in little old Salem! Abigail nods. There are pretty flowers in the background. - In the elegant foyer, Victor lets Dan know that he and Maggie are back together. There is also something he must share with him, though that will have to be at another time. Dan is glad for the Greek tycoon and Maggie. Victor chuckles and lists all his past wives who were bad news, including that sneaky conniving gold digger Nicole! Dan pauses. He then wonders if she is all that bad. Victor explains she is a chameleon with an agenda. He is lucky to be alive after that siren! He would not wish her on his worst enemy but she and EJ certainly do deserve each other. Dan informs her they are getting a divorce. Victor cackles he pities her next victim! Dan takes it all in. - Maggie and Brady hold hands as he solemnly takes the pledge of AA. He declares he feels better already. She does not think it would be so easy. He wonders if he should go back to meetings. He pours himself a drink. The redhead is glad he came by. Brady updates her on the drug test he just took for Madison. Maggie assures him she is there for him anytime he needs to call. She looks him in his bloodshot eyes and he insists he cannot go down the path of using again. Not now! Maggie’s eyes are filled with dread and worry for him. - Maggie and Victor enjoy coffee by candlelight. He cannot comprehend why Brady feels like using. She admits she too finds it a challenge to remain sober day to day. He is very sorry he gave her grief. She just wants him to try and be the man she knows he can be. He will. She jumps up to hug him and smiles they will be fine. “One day at a time.” Victor grins. - Dan accompanies Brady to Madison’s office as they await the test results. Brady promises her he is not hiding anything. He even went to see Maggie. Madison assures him that he has her too. She is not going anywhere, They share a tender embrace as they wait. Ian stands in the doorway and glares daggers at the unsuspecting lovers …! END |
