She updates him on Madison not seeming to believe Brady despite what she says. Ian pretends not to have been aware of Brady’s drug history. He claims he feels sad for poor Madison. Inside, Madison informs Brady the office is not the time or place for this but of course she still loves him. Brady swears he is not using and he loves her. He cannot imagine losing her. He wonders if he has lost her. She wonders if they should postpone the wedding. - Back at the gloomy mansion, EJ drawls that William seems to have inherited his mother’s suspicious nature. Will wonders if he is using him to get to his mother. EJ makes light of it. Will laments he does not want his friends like Chad to think he is a murderer. Is he going to get him off? He cannot do his dirty work if he is in jail. EJ replies he hopes he is innocent. Will argues that his father already went to prison for shooting him, so he cannot be tried a second time. EJ explains he was not tried for the crime in the first place, so he still could be. And things will look badly if the D.A. discovers he already tried to kill someone. He grins if he says jump, Will must ask how high. Otherwise he will still go to jail. Will is petrified he could still end up in jail, as his fingerprints were found on the murder weapon, not to mention that he tested positive for gunpowder residue, though it was from another gun. EJ starts to laugh at the irony. Will would like to know who really shot the gun that night. A frown creases his brow as he notes EJ never asked him if he did it. EJ admits he already knows he did not. Is that because he knows who really did it? Will walks closer and deduces he must know. EJ smoothly states he would have gone to the police. Will reasons he would then have to give up messing with his life and his mom’s life. Will thinks he should go to the press. EJ drawls that would accomplish nothing and declares he is late for a meeting. He reminds curious Will that he is the one calling the shots and saunters off - Gabi enjoys a coffee with Chad at the town square café and proceeds to act sympathetic about Mel siding with Will against him. Frazzled Chad now realizes that was not what she was really doing. Mel did not want him to lose his best friend after he wrongly accused him. He suddenly decides to call her to apologize. Gabi takes it upon herself to stop him from making what she calls a big mistake. She snatches away his phone and insists Mel would not listen now, as she has a bad temper. Chad becomes confused. He does not want her to feel bad. Gabi assures him that Mel has friends. In fact, she is certain that she is not alone! - Mel walks down the stairs at the park, senses someone behind her, then fears she is losing it. She continues past the trees and flowers. Andy the stalker follows. - EJ removes his black gloves from his pocket, tosses them in an alley dumpster, and keeps walking. - Outside the office, Kate looks at her phone and sighs. Inside, Brady gets upset that Madison wants a postponement until they know what happened. It was a fluke! Madison points out she will not go into a marriage that is a mistake. Brady insists that they are not a mistake. He offers to take drug tests and shows her the protein drink he has . He hugs her and implores her not to give up on them. He will make a call to the hospital. And once those tests are revealed to be negative, it will be over. That is what she wants too. Brady also wants to table the notion of them postponing their wedding. She smiles and they kiss. He promises her he will not mess up. Madison reminds him they have a busy morning at work ahead of them today. He hopes they are good. She smiles and agrees they are good indeed. - Andy - the man in black - is still tailing Mel at the pretty park He gets the chloroform ready, glances around, and walks faster … - Will is about to leave the mansion. EJ returns and coldly informs him he is not dismissed. He assumes he still wishes to clear his name. He announces he will help him because he wants him to owe him for the rest of his inconsequential life. Will retorts he has been thinking. He gets back to the fact that he said he knew he did not kill Stefano. Maybe he was so sure of himself because he is the one who did! EJ gives him a stony stare ... END |
