Besides, the cop is dead and dead men tell no tales. Kate asks how he feels, given his future wife killed for another man! EJ stirs his beverage and tells Kate to go away. She muses she hit a nerve. What if Rafe had not ended up with her? Where would Sami be now? EJ snaps she would be precisely where she is now. Kate makes a snide remark and waltzes off. EJ sighs. Abigail gets impatient with JJ, who is sorry. JJ feels sorry for himself about people giving him a hard time. Maybe he deserves it. Abigail gives him a pep talk. He intends to tell Dan he is sorry about Parker. She is not sure how he will take it. JJ misunderstands and wrongly assumes he complained about his stupid car. Abigail is puzzled. She now does the math and concludes Dan and Jen suspect he also trashed her loverman's car. They will be watching him now so he needs to do the right thing! So ends the lecture. Abigail flounces off in her pretty summer dress. JJ quietly reminds himself to be more careful. Jen woefully wonders why Dan does not believe JJ. There is no proof against him. Dan notes there are too many coincidences. Jen argues she knows her son. Dan recalls how he stated someone probably did not like him after the first car incident. Jen asks why he did not share his suspicions then. Cos he loves her! He curses and repeats he loves her and did not wish to hurt her. He had trusted her to handle things ... She gets miffed he is implying she is a bad parent who cannot handle her rowdy kid. Dan insists she is a good parent but she laments he thinks she raised a rotten kid. She acts convinced that JJ did not attack his car and walks out in a huff. Dan is exasperated. The weeping widow wonders how she will tell her son. Hope is sorry and agrees Joe will be missed. The widow wants her to promise that woman will not get away with it. Hope replies that justice will be served. The officer takes her home after Maxine brings Timmy back. Mother and son and the cop leave together. Maxine feels sorry for the lad, who wants to be a cop like his daddy. Roman returns with news. Forensics has searched high and low in the hospital. There is no trace of that knife anywhere. Hope is very sorry. So is he! Will is now holding his baby in his arms. Kate enters with coffee and a smile about the crib she ordered, preparing for Gabi and Arianna to move in. Pause. Gabi and Will now explain that Gabi is moving in with Will and Sonny. Kate acts happy for them. Gabi later marvels their baby has so many who love her. Will agrees and lists them all, including Sonny, who chuckles. He promises they will all take good care of Gabi too. She is grateful that they are on her side and it is not just her and Arianna against the world. Sonny notes it is a little out of the ordinary but they will do just fine. Will smiles. Sami and EJ are holding hands as they walk toward somber Hope and Roman. Marlena has a supportive arm around her daughter. They are stunned when Hope and Roman update them with news that no weapon was found and the search is over. Sami stammers it is impossible. Someone must have covered up for Bernardi. Roman explains he oversaw the investigation and feels there was no coverup. Sami cries but the knife is here. Hope now announces that Samantha Brady is under arrest for the murder of one Joseph Bernardi. She continues to recite her rights. EJ urges sweethot to say nothing. Roman laments he does not want to do this and is sorry that they must. Sami turns and sniffles in disbelief as Roman places the cuffs on her. She cries it is happening again! She is being wrongly accused! Marlena promises her they will not let this happen! Hope and Roman walk the prisoner to the elevator and the doors close.
