Chad the hero promises her the bad guy will never come near her again. If he does, he is a dead man! Meanwhile, Gabi confides to Andrew that Chad asked about her stalker, then said if she was no longer in danger, then perhaps she should move back to her apartment. She is miffed he would rather be alone than with her. Andrew finds it funny that she cannot get him to make a move on her. Gabi snaps to stop laughing at her. He does. Gabi complains Chad is missing Mel more and more. What if she shows up soon? He confidently replies that one will not be a problem. Gabi senses he knows something and orders him to tell her. He smirks. - EJ advises Will to be careful with what he says about his fatha. He was his fatha in every way! He warns him to also remember who he is dealing with. Or what? EJ starts to explain he protected him and kept his secret. “You used me!” interrupts Will. EJ realizes now he wants to use him. He drawls all it would take is for him to make one quick phone call and then this entire situation would cease to exist. Will returns his stare. He is not about to back down. He steps forward and calls it a threat. EJ calls it conflict resolution and growls he would not miss him. Will calmly informs him he does have a backup plan. Someone else has the letter now so if anything happens to him, they will take it to the police. EJ doubts it, and keeps working on his computer. He knows the letter is on or about Will’s person. Will boasts he will never find it. EJ is up for the challenge and patronizes him. Will lies he gave it to a lawyer from the phone book. There will be no trail, paper or electronic. EJ reminds him what happened the last time he attempted to blackmail him. He alludes to the fact that he could have him arrested for attempted murder. Will dares him to go ahead and call the police. But then they both know what will happen to HIM! - Rafe whispers to Carrie that if this is the right thing, why does it feel wrong to be apart? Carrie begs him to stop and keeps crying. Rafe is sorry and agrees she is right to focus on her family and her unborn baby. Because he wants what is best for her, he will step aside. Carrie states this cannot happen again and asks him to say it. He whispers goodbye and she whispers goodbye to him too. Rafe woefully starts to walk away. Carrie’s eyes are filled with tears of sorrow. - Will reasons he might go to prison, but then everything would unravel for EJ after it was learned he was not a real DiMera. Chad would run the family business into the ground. In addition, EJ would need a defense for Stefano’s murder. He sarcastically states this is EJ’s call and moves a piece. “Checkmate.” He wonders what EJ thinks. EJ’s eyes narrow. - Gabi notices that Andrew keeps looking at the door and impulsively opens the peephole. She views Mel sleeping. Andrew hastily shuts the peephole. Gabi is horrified. She demands to know what he has done to her! - Will assumes he and EJ are on the same page. Their relationship has been taken to the next level. He suspects this will be very rewarding to both of them. He wishes himself a Happy Independence Day, then turns back. “Just so we’re clear. I own you now!” EJ stares into space as WiIl triumphantly exits the mansion … END |
