It is a fact that Rafe already checked the gun registration of all the suspects. And so he knows fully well that he owns no gun! Rafe claims he knows he does not have a registered one, but maybe he forgot to register a gun or accidentally misplaced the paperwork. EJ demands to know what he means. Rafe asks if he has a 45 caliber he forgot to license. EJ asks if he looks like the kind of person who would forget. As the mayor it is his job to uphold the law! Rafe sarcastically thanks him for his time and suggests he give him a call should he change his mind about the lie detector test. EJ sighs once the dynamic duo have departed from the mansion. - Marlena warns Carrie to stop this. She now berates Sami for going for her pregnant sister’s throat. Sam points out labor will be worse. Marlena understands she is upset and needs to heal from her failed marriage, but this is not the way to do it. She will be there for her. Meanwhile, Carrie is putting her marriage back together and she seems to begrudge her happiness. Sami claims she does not. Marlena asks her to tell her sister she is happy for her. Sami accuses her of being on Carrie’s side. - Sonny sits with Brian and informs him that this has not been easy for Will. Brian laments that to Will, hanging out with gay guys is worse than being accused of murder. Sonny asks him to cut him some slack. It was hard for him to come out. Brian wishes he would see that was a good thing. Sonny thinks he needs time. Brian realizes that Sonny has a thing for Will. He cannot blame him, but warns he comes with a great deal of baggage. He wishes him luck and walks out. - EJ sits reading the letter again. Will enters and he hastily puts it away. He snaps he is late. Will is sorry and wonders if that was Rafe he saw pulling out of the driveway. EJ admits he and Spencer came by and hounded him to take a lie detector test. As if he has anything to hide! Will grins. “Don’t you?!” EJ advises him to be tread carefully. Any so-called secret he might think he knows about him can be nothing like the secret he has on him. He adds his actions have consequences. HE is the one who bailed him out of jail, helped him with the cops. He is the best friend he has, though if he pushes him, he will be inclined to drop him. The police would be interested to know he tried to kill him. Will talks temporary insanity as a possible defense. EJ drawls he is like his motha and he is lucky he likes her. He suggests he wipe that smile off his face and reminds him to finish his work task by tonight. Exit EJ. Will sits at the computer, then notices the drawer underneath the desk. - Marlena exclaims she is tied of Sami’s accusations. She does not play favorites. Sami gasps she always does with Miss perfect Carrie. Carrie reminds Sami that she was the one who made a mistake. Sami knows, but then Carrie was around so she could not fix things with Rafe. She knows she was speaking from the heart when she wished the baby was Rafe’s too. Sami bitterly wishes her luck with that and storms off. Marlena follows. Carrie looks ready to cry. Marlena is unable to stop Sami and soon returns, imploring Carrie not to believe what she said. Carrie sniffles perhaps Sami and Rafe did fail because of her. Marlena thinks there is no point in revisiting it All that really matters now is her commitment to Austin. Carrie starts to complain if this were Rafe’s baby … Marlena sympathetically states it will take some time for her to accept. Carrie cries she is trying but knows not if she even can! - Back at the office, Rafe and Spencer discuss what happened at the mansion. Rafe admits that on a personal level, he does not like EJ. Spencer had noticed. He warns him to drop the stunts. He realized he was trying to back DiMera into a corner with the lie detector test. He demands he run his plans by him first in the future, then concedes it was great! Rafe ws sure EJ would refuse. Spencer chuckles about his reaction to having the gun. However, there are other viable suspects. Rafe quips that would be anyone Stefano met. Spencer suggests he not focus merely on EJ and goes to call the judge, who has no doubt already received a complaint from the illustrious mayor. Rafe is alone for a few seconds. Enter hurricane Sami. “How long have you known that Carrie was pregnant!” - Will stands up from the desk, then opens the drawer. Still alone, he removes the damning letter and proceeds to read. “OH MY GOD!” he exclaims, his eyes mirroring his shock and awe … END |
