To be the only one who has the contents of the envelope Alice put in the box. Hope refuses. He informs her those are his terms. Take it or leave it! Bo suspects he fears the contents could end his reign of terror. They do not make deals with the devil! Stefano reminds them he is the only one who knows one of the secrets and now that Alice is gone, he could share it with the rest of the world. He threatens to do just that, unless they play by his rules. Bo looks him in the eye and wonders if he would be ready to handle what Mrs. H. had on him, cos they could get their hands on that envelope! Stefano concludes neither he nor Hope is ready to open the box. The two parties simply do not trust each other. He remarks they know where to find him and proceeds to leave. Hope wants him to stop. He explains whether they open or close the box, he will win and walks away. Hope is upset. She wishes that bastard would rot behind bars! Bo assures her they will manage to figure it out together. - At the mansion, Will sends the kids to the kitchen for chocolate cake. Ding dong! EJ opens the door. Sami bursts in and demands he hand over Sydney. Rafe accompanies her. He has a coat on, but Nicole makes a comment about his outfit. EJ advises raging Samantha to calm down. He is Sydney's fatha. Sami yells he already gave up custody. Will watches. Sami snaps EJ will only see Sydney when she says it is okay. "STOP!" suddenly exclaims little Sydney, who has toddled out and overheard. Sami picks up her little girl and assures her she is sorry. She was just worried. EJ does not want his daughta to be unhappy on her birthday. Rafe tries to cheer her up with the costume. No luck. Sami tells her of the fun party they have planned. Sydney has just one reply. "Daddy." She wants him to come. Sami explains he is busy. EJ agrees and asks her to have fun and tell him all about it later. Sydney replies NO and runs back to EJ, hugging his leg. Sami now grudgingly invites EJ. He grins he will indeed attend and lifts up his daughter. Sami takes her. EJ adds they must clean up first. Sami will see them later and departs with Rafe and Sydney. Will promises to come too. Once EJ and Will are alone, EJ demands to know what that was about. He warns William he is treading on dangerous ground. Will grins it was worth it, seeing how mad his mom got. EJ sighs. Later, the Carvers and Jen are the last ones to leave. Lexie takes Theo out to the car. Abe whispers to Jen that the false questions are in the drawer. He confesses he had no second thoughts, for EJ has played dirty all along. - Back at the pub, Carrie wants Austin to stop the accusations as he is hurting her feelings. He loses his cool about her playing princess with Rafe, though she never has time for him. She did not even call him at lunchtime, as promised. They are still arguing when John and Marlena enter. John discreetly notes it might be a bad time. Austin sulks at the bar. John asks how he is doing. Austin is sorry he had to hear that. John notes they have all been there. It is called marriage. Austin laments she is always with Rafe. But this is really about the fact that he wants to spend time with his wife and he believes his wife would rather not spend time with him. Meanwhile, Carrie explains to Marlena she has been spending time with Rafe. Austin does not realize how stressful it has been for her trying to start a business. Marlena now realizes Carrie has been avoiding Austin. Moments later, Sami and Rafe enter with Sydney. Marlena is thrilled and picks her up. John is friendly to Sami, who seems rather preoccupied. Rafe brings up the punch. Sami makes a snide remark. Carrie tells Sydney she looks beautiful and is very pleased when Syd recognizes her costume. Rafe asks Austin to help him find a ladle for the punch. Austin growls the so-called detective can find it himself and walks away. Will enters with a smirk. Sami angrily whispers when the party is over, they are gonna have a serious conversation about all this! She places a tiara on Sydney's head. Syd continues to sulk. Rafe thinks this part of the day was perfect and that is all they will remember in 20 years, but Sami is giving him the cold shoulder. EJ and Nicole walk in. EJ happily picks up his daughter, who has a big smile for daddy. Sami turns to Rafe and quietly states it 20 years, she will certainly remember EVERYTHING about this day ...! END |
