PLAYING GOD - Part 2 - Maggie plays blocks with little Parker and Victor notes Chloe is calling the shots but at least she will know her grandson. Maggie is overwhelmed. Victor drawls the boy is trading up with grandparents. The redhead assures him he can keep being the grandpa at her side. Vic grins knowing he is part of her makes him love them even more! - Billie gets back to Jen, having asked the nurse to track down the doctor. Jen cannot find her cell phone but wants to go to Daniel right away. Billie urges her to stay put and goes to get the doctor. Jen seems rather obsessed with going to him now and decides to take a taxi … - Dan wishes to see Parker. Chloe replies Phillip has already taken him to Maggie’s, where he is saying goodbye. She suspects he always sensed the baby was not his in spite of the pain he is experiencing. Kayla thanks God for the truth coming out. Daniel gushes he has a son … but he will not know him … Chloe suggests they venture to Victor and Maggie’s together. Dan thinks that would be a good idea. The mother present would put the boy at ease. Chloe gushes she would not want to miss seeing him with their son – not for the world! Kayla’s eyes flicker as she realizes Chloe is back to stake her claim. - Nick arrives at the quiet coffee house and apologizes for his tardiness. Lucas gets him a chair and teases to enjoy his final night of freedom. Nick states he is marrying the girl of his dreams. Lucas agrees she is great and admits he once thought she would be his daughter-in-law. Will is tense. Lucas and Nick go to get their coffee. Sonny remarks that Will seems rather keyed up but Will denies it. - Gabi barges into the empty exam room where Dr. Cam is reading a report and announces they need to talk. She does not realize that someone is secretly watching and listening from the shadows outside the ajar door … - Dan is ready to leave with Chloe and calls Jen to leave a message, only to get her voice mail. He asks Kayla to do him a big favor, just in case Jen shows up. - Sonny is now working at the coffee house counter and calls it some party. Nick grins he would not want to be hung over for the rehearsal. He boasts he is marrying a great woman and planning a family, the kind of thing every guy dreams of. Sonny points out not every guy. Nick points out every guy HE knows. Sonny stares. Meanwhile, Lucas has sensed Will’s lack of enthusiasm. Will claims he is happy for Gabi and Nick but Lucas has noticed his resentment of Nick and thinks it is because he is getting married. Will admits he is not ready to even think about that but one day he would like to marry and have kids just like everybody else. - Gabi gets straight to the point. She knows Cam has figured out the baby’s due date. He has and will remain silent but wants to know if Nick is aware that the baby is not his! Meanwhile, the lurker watches and listens by the slightly open door! “Nick knows everything … He wants to raise this baby as his own … He’s happy about it,” insists the bride- to-be. Cam questions if the biological father knows. He does. He warns her there might be problems if he did not know.Gabi adds they all agreed it would be best for him to stay out of the picture. They have made a pact to keep the secret. Cam notes Salem is a small town and that is one big secret. Secrets have a way of getting out. Gabi repeats this must stay a secret. “No one can ever know who this baby’s father is!” The lurker listens. - Jen is surprised when Kay opens Dan’s door. Where is he? - Dan and Chloe enter the elegant house of Kiriakis. Dan gets a hearty embrace from big godfather Victor, who is happy for him. The Greek tycoon even manages to greet Chloe politely. Dan asks where the boy is. With Maggie in the living room. Dan gingerly walks in and looks at the little boy who resembles him. “He is so beautiful!” he gasps. Maggie smiles. Chloe lifts her son in her arms and explains he is going to meet Daniel, just as she promised. She then sends him to give him a hug. Dan crouches down and is reduced to tears as he holds his little man ... END |
