ON THE WARPATH - Part 2 - Lucas announces a disaster has struck, for mama Kate the traveler lost her hotel reservation! Jen does not care that Kate lost her hotel reservation. Lucas explains she will need a suite in that exclusive hotel and he wants an ocean between them! Jen is not sure what she can do. Lucas reminds her she wrote an article about the Hotel Emile and asks her to do him a favor and call them. They would do this for her! Jen calls and makes the confirmation for seven nights in French, with a cute American accent. Lucas would like the details. She proudly states she got her a good room overlooking a park. Lucas remarks his mom would need a suite and she hates parks! Abigail snaps Lucas should be grateful as her mom was on her way to a date when he interrupted! Pause. Lucas grumbles about her seeing Daniel. Sailor Moon Jen returns his glare and confirms she has a date with Daniel and he must deal with it for she is not changing her mind! Lucas grimaces. Chloe gushes she has been keeping up to date on Dan’s life, from his new mother Maggie to his triumphant return to surgery. And as she is about to share, there is more good news in the works - good news for them both! Dan appears doubtful. He exclaims she can come back tomorrow, as Jen is on her way over but Chloe flat out refuses to leave before having her say. Brady is back in Kristen’s hotel room, where the temptress continues to feign feeling guilty. Brady assures her he cares not what anyone says or thinks. She points out he will be alone without his friends or family. He drawls he has her. She thinks she is wrong for him. He disagrees and silences her with a passionate kiss. Sami complains about Kristen acting ever so innocent until they were alone, at which time she practically laughed in her face! Marlena can relate. Samantha exclaims they simply cannot let Kristen play them against each other, for Brady’s sake. John notes she is right. Sami nervously assures Marlena the worst is over. Now the cards are on the table and they will not let her get away with it. She hugs her mom and exits. John woefully wonders whether Marlena’s cards are also on the table. He presses her to say what she was about to admit when Sami interrupted. Marlena recalls Kristen taunting her that she was oh so convenienced by her sleeping with Brady as it kept her away from John. She now blinks back to reality, telling John there is nothing more. He, however, begs to differ and gives her an intense look. Marlena feigns indignance that he does not believe her. He murmurs she is not saying something. There is more - another reason she chose not to tell him about Brady and Kristen. Marlena reminds him they cannot let her tear them apart and suggests they go home. He coldly states he needs to be alone and is therefore getting a hotel room. “Why?” she gasps. He is not sure he trusts her at the moment. Marlena’s eyes fill with tears. Brady believes Kristen is good for him. As the she devil unbuttons his shirt, he declares he is actually falling in love with her. She pretends to be overwhelmed, then kisses him and purrs he cannot imagine how that makes her feel. Lucas thinks Jen is being stupid. Abigail starts to defend her mother, then realizes her ride is waiting. Jen is glad for she does not want her to see this! Abigail reminds her she has something else to do. Once she is gone, Lucas snaps he hates what Dan does to women. He has witnessed it firsthand. Jen suggests he is still smarting over Chloe. Dan could not have ruined what was not already broken. She points out she loves Dan, has a date with him, and nothing will stand in her way! Caroline hands Kay back the printout and wonders what she will do. Kay declares she will go talk to Daniel and departs to do just that. Chloe explains there has been a true miracle “I’m talking about your son Parker.” He snaps Parker is not his but Chloe gushes that is her big news. “Parker is your son. Our son!” Dan is rendered speechless and a frown creases his manly brow. END |
