THIS EPISODE WAS TWEETED ONE HOUR AHEAD BY DAYSCAFE :) BACK IN THE GAME! - At the hospital, cuckoo Kristen refuses to leave John’s room and taunts him for beating on his son. Or did Brady start it? John curses she did a number on his kid. She smugly states she did a number on him too! She leers his cop instincts let him down. He growls what does that mean! She gets closer and hisses she knows him oh so well and was sure he was jealous to find her with Brady. He snaps she is deluded but she insists he must still want her badly. John looks ill. He insists he loves only Marlena. She taunts him about loving Isabella once and not knowing who he was. As he puts his shirt on, she reminds him of all their recent little moments. She accuses him of not being able to peel his eyes from her body when he caught her entwined with Brady. John cannot believe she has been obsessing all this time. She alludes to the thin line between love and hate and he growls the line has been crossed forever! Kristen thinks his ego is colossal and criticizes him for throwing her away once upon a time. It was a dark time in her life. Only Stefano forgave her. John scoffs at that. She hisses she is back and is painfully aware that one cannot get over a great love. However, one can replace it, which is exactly what she has done! John stares at her with dread. He snaps Brady is not thinking with his head! She laughs men seldom do and adds she could not have planned everything that happened. Surely he must realize that … - Abigail enters the coffee house, glances around, and remembers Chad’s New Year kiss. He appears behind the counter and she is glad to see him. She was hoping she would. He asks what is up. “You have to ask?” She reminds him of their kiss and wonders what it was all about. He claims it was a Happy New Year. She points out last year he broke up as he felt they were better as friends. Perhaps they should keep that for this year too. Chad observes her with a twinkle in his eye. - Dan arrives on Jen’s doorstep at Horton house 3 hours prior to their date and announces they are not going anywhere. Jen is surprised. He explains their train was bumped to an unacceptable time. However, he is not completely cancelling. She assures him she would understand. He grins he has been waiting so long and suggests dinner at his place instead. He will not cook or try Chinese like the time she got sick, so how about some good old boring safe pizza? She gushes he had her on not cooking. But they could have gone to Chez Rouge. Why did he really cancel? He seductively stares, teases her for acting like his intentions are not honorable, and murmurs he needs time alone with her tonight. He just realized it and wonders how she feels about it. Jen returns his gaze. Of course she wishes to be alone with him. He hopes he is not pushing. It should be casual and comfortable … to … “Reconnect” she finishes. He repeats reconnect. Jen declares she is ready for this next step. So is he. He sits on the couch with her and holds her hands, promising there will no trips to the ER. She teases maybe heart surgery. She is glad they will be in Salem and is looking forward to their romantic night tonight. The medicine man tenderly kisses her, whispering “Me too …” - At the pub, EJ leaves an angry phone message for Kristen. Kate has overheard and muses so he finally sees her for who she is - a DiMera through and through! EJ assumes that was intended as an insult. Kate explains she happens to be a happy ex-DiMera. He drawls she knows nothing about his sista but she is convinced that is one DiMera to avoid. EJ wonders about her chipper mood. She boasts she is finally free and knows how it feels, like being free from an obsession. She muses EJ will never know that feeling! She is elated she was given a clean bill of health. She plans to take a vacation to visit Cassie, Rex and adorable grandson Parker. EJ is genuinely happy for her. She appreciates it and wishes she could say the same about him. - Rafe approaches upset Sami and asks what is the matter. She laments Kristen DiMera is out to destroy her family! He follows the girl in the hot pink coat past the town square gate and asks if she has spoken to Brady. Sami exclaims that would get her nowhere. Rafe calmly notes she is clearly upset. Sami snaps of course she is upset, cos the man who raised her was like a father to her. Rafe agrees Kristen might have been terrible, but were her actions really any worse than things Sami has done? Sami cannot believe what she is hearing! Rafe explains she is upset about something she cannot control and she certainly cannot punch out Kristen. Sami wonders about that. He suggests Brady and Kristen’s feelings might be real and drawls he might feel like putty in her hands! He grins that is how it works. Sami wonders the way what works. Rafe sighs men and women. Sami’s eyes narrow. Is he talking about her??? “Just sayin,” confesses Rafe. Sami is ready to storm off, believing he wishes to make a fool of her again and does not even care, but he insists he does and grabs her in a passionate kiss. Sami melts like putty in his hands. - Marlena goes into Brady’s hospital room and implores him not to text, call, or see Kristen. Not ever again! What he has with Kristen is not love. He disagrees. She urges him to hear her out. Brady bitterly remarks she wants him to believe that Kristen has been hell bent on revenge and cares not one iota for him! Marlena points out she once tried to kill her and even recently admitted she is getting back at John. Brady grumbles that is what John says. Marlena insists John is an honest man. Kristen the she devil is the one who lied! Brady feels Marlena is still paranoid about Kristen being out to get her. Kristen, on the other hand, has been quite noble. She did not report her to the cops for breaking into her room, as per his wishes. Brady believes there is not one thing she has lied to him about and she would do anything for him. - Chad deduces Abigail thinks he is not over Melanie. She admits it is a concern as Mel is her good friend. Chad insists Mel is over him. Besides, last year was tough. She concedes he has been good to her. He takes her hand and murmurs they should start fresh now, see what happens. “What do you think?” Flustered Abigail blinks. She agrees to see where things go … after Gabi’s wedding, for she is very busy until then. Chad announces he will wait, and she is worth it! - Kate hopes that EJ will see the light about Sami, the way her Lucas did. She reminds him Sami is always torn between men. EJ insists Rafe is no match for him. She agrees but points out Kristen could be. EJ coldly wishes her a wonderful trip and she departs. - Sami stops and gasps “What are you doing?” Rafe thinks she knows, for she felt it too. She warns him not to assume he knows what she feels and accuses him of calling her a selfish bitch. He has again randomly grabbed her and kissed her yet it means nothing. Rafe drawls does this mean anything and grabs her in an even bigger kiss. Sami is unable to resist. - Brady is hanging his head in his room.Marlena decides she should speak with his father for a moment before they continue here. Brady sighs fine. She assures him she just wants him happy. He pouts Kristen makes him happy. Nurse Maxine shows up to take the patient’s vitals. Exit Marlena. Brady is not sorry to see her go. - Kristen questions John on how he found out about her and Brady’s affair. He mutters he did not know. She wonders why he went to Brady’s office at that time and suggests someone might have an agenda. John flashes back to Marlena advising him to go to Brady’s office. All of a sudden, Marlena appears. Kristen smugly smirks at John, who stares and stares at Marlena. - At Horton house, Abigail offers nervous Jen her earrings as she gets ready for her date. She thanks her daughter for the support. Abigail smiles she knows Jack would want them to be happy. Jen is glad she feels that way and asks about her. How is she? Abigail is all smiles. - Daniel has just gotten the fire started in the fireplace at his apartment. Salem Hospital calls. Tis nurse Maxine. He hopes there is no problem. A patient is complaining of bone pain and will only be seen by the medicine man. Pause. She suggests she send him his vitals via email so he can approve a meds order online Dan drawls she is an angel. Maxine teases to have a wonderful evening. Click. Dan continues to excitedly get ready for his female guest. He pours the wine, then spills some on his shirt. He walks into the bedroom, unbuttoning it. - Chad catches up with EJ outside the pub and thanks him for his advice. He explains he and Abigail had a nice New Year and plan to see where things go. EJ is pleased to hear it. Chad perceives his solemn demeanor. Did something happen with Sami? EJ sighs there was a snafu but the problem was not Samantha, it was Kristen! She has been having a fling with Brady Black! EJ sips his coffee and does not want to judge but admits he shares Chad’s baffled view of the tawdry situation. - Kristen smugly excuses herself. Marlena starts talking about Brady but stops when she notices the ominous look John is giving her. - Rafe stops kissing Sami and she opens her eyes. He explains he must discuss Gabi's wedding with the DJ now. He hopes they will see a lot of each other in the next few days. Sami gasps what about him not being able to keep his lips off her? Rafe teases she is hot and bothered and wonders how she will break the news to EJ. Break what news? He murmurs she may deny it all she wants, but the truth is, she wants HIM! Cowboy Rafe saunters off. - Kate runs into grinning Rafe at the town square. He thanks her for offering Nick a job. She insists it was not charity and he drove a hard bargain but in the end it worked out. She is glad he will be taking care of Gabi and the little one. Rafe is relieved he will not be working for the DiMeras and they are at least rid of Stefano. He hopes it stays that way forever. Kate says the same about hoping Sami will stay away from HIM forever and waltzes off. - Sami tells her exasperated self to focus on something she can control and storms off, determined to do just that ...
