They ask nurse Maxine if they will learn the baby’s sex. If they want to know, yes. Exit Maxine as they await the doctor. Nick is touchy she answered Gabi, not him. Gabi points out she is the one who is the patient and agrees they should find out the sex of the baby. EJ returns with the hot drinks. Adrienne quietly departs. EJ advises Samantha to enjoy her tea. She is exasperated and frustrated that Will is making mistakes similar to hers. She is glad EJ is here and he squeezes her hand with a charming smile. Chad approaches Abigail at the coffee house and bitterly drawls she gets around. She says to shut up. Chad accuses her of flirting with Cameron earlier and she snaps to stop. Chad catches himself. He is sorry but he believed they might have a chance. With her he no longer felt alone. He excuses himself and Abigail considers. EJ escorts Samantha to her place. She thanks him again. He reminds her he cares about her and she is a wonderful motha. He understands this is hard for her as she cares for her child so much. Sami gushes she does not know what she would do without him and hugs him gratefully. Dr. Cam shows up for the sonogram. He is sorry about what Chad did. Gabi understands it is not his fault that Chad wanted to hurt her. Cam suggests it was best the truth came out but Nick angrily snaps that was the worst thing that could have happened! Gabi diverts her gaze. Nicole still believes Sami is under Rafe’s skin despite his anger. He claims no more, for she was cruel to his sister. They will be at odds over this baby for a very long time. Sami gazes up at EJ and he looks searchingly into her eyes. They get closer and closer and start to kiss on the lips. Dr. Cam has the baby’s first image. The sound of the heartbeat fills the room. Gabi gasps it is incredible. Cam asks if they wish to know the sex … “Say hello to your daughter!” Will walks in and stares mesmerized. “It’s a girl?” he whispers, melting at the image on the monitor.
