The Set Up - Part 2 - Chloe seeks out Dan in a hospital room and dramatically declares she has something to tell him. After Parker was born, she made a terrible mistake. Dan is already aware of the fact that she was depressed and wanted to hurt herself. She cries it is far worse than that. He gently listens. Chloe suddenly blurts out "Before I left Salem, before I came to my senses, I was working as a prostitute!" Sami admits she is not perfect and has made mistakes. She just wants to understand, not judge. Will reminds her she accused him of turning his back on his child and his family. She is sorry for being judgmental. Will reasons the most important thing is for his child to have a mother and father who are solid, with no custody confusion. He does not want his child in a broken home. "Because of me," sniffles Sami. Will becomes exasperated. This is not about her! She agrees it is about him and his child. Nicole suggests Father Eric go for a drink with her.He laughs he happens to be a priest. She wants to make up. He suggests she start with a simple I'm sorry. She does, then wants him to say she was not a total pain. Her holy boss would rather hear what is really troubling her. Nicole confesses she is very worried about her friends Daniel and Chloe. Eric notes Chloe is Brady's ex. Also Dan's ex and she is in town. Nicole sighs she smells trouble brewing. Dan is not sure what to say, Chloe explains that part of getting out of her hell involved looking things in the eye and that was her lowest point. She moans she was forced into it, blackmailed. Dan demands to know by who and vows bloody murder! Chloe will only say she was able to pull herself together and become a better person and mother to Parker. She hopes he knows she is no longer that person. Dan is certain of it and praises how she has raised their tiny son. Chloe is relieved he heard this from her and not ... "Not who?" he wonders. Chloe replies Jen knows as Kate told her. Dan realizes that was why she was upset and why Jennifer wanted to talk ... Chloe sweetly remarks Jen must be a nice person, as she did not do Kate's bidding against her. Dan agrees the noble widow is above such things. Meanwhile, the hospital helper in pink plants the note on Jen's desk ... John cannot believe that doc does not comprehend he loves only her and not Kristen. She and Brady now feel like strangers to him! Marlena can relate. John sighs he needs to figure out what the hell is goin on, what to do about his son, and what to do about their marriage.Marlena is startled. Sami sits with Will and agrees this is not about her but about him and what he will do about his baby. He knows that. She points out his situation has changed. Nick as the faux father is no longer an option. Before he knows it, the child will be born and will soon have thoughts and ideas of its own. Will listens intently. Sami laments things can blow up in one's face, like what happened to her. She seems to pity herself again, then warns Will one day his child will grow up, look at him, and judge him! "So are you gonna be a father to this child or not?" Will blinks. Brady stops kissing Kristen and decides to take a shower. He stands up, removes his shirt, and invites her to join him. She will be right there after she checks a few messages. Brady runs the shower. Kristen tells herself to stay focused. She will string the young buck along a little longer and then it will all be over! John drawls this place has become toxic. He needs to step away for a while, find some space to think. Marlena wonders where he will go, He is not sure. She implores him to call when he gets there. He does not know and remains evasive. She stands up to stop him but he drawls he cannot talk about anything anymore and heads for the door ... Chloe rejoins Anne as she pours her coffee at the nurse's station. The deed is done. The opera diva thanks her for her help and smirks they shall see .. Jen is back in her office. Dan arrives and immediately informs her of Chloe's confession. He asks if it is true that Jen knows about it. Jen feigns confusion. Dan suddenly spies the planted note and wonders what she is doing with the number of Child Protective Services. His eyes darken as he holds the note. "Is this about Chloe!" he growls. Gentle Jen meets his gaze, unaware that she has just been set up ... Next on Days of Our Lives Gabi confesses to Nicole. Chloe's scheme ain't over yet! Nick still thinks he can get Will's child. |
