BABY MAMA and more - Part 2 - Sami is upset that Marlena is taking her place and her son does not rely on her. Marlena reminds her that he has needed to be the parent in their relationship for years and years. Now she ought to be the parent he deserves. Sami presses her to say what she means. Marlena explains he told her something in confidence. That is all she can say. She reminds Sami she is his mother. Has she not noticed any signs?! Sami yells he is mad at her because of what she did. Otherwise, he is a great kid and student, terrific brother. Pause. Is there something wrong with him? Will he be alright? Marlena thinks so, though he needs his mother NOW. How he comes through this will depend largely on her. Tears trickle down worried Sami's face. She suddenly lashes out at Marlena for not being around the last three years. Marlena cannot believe she is acting so immature. Sami snaps to stop criticizing her. She might lose the man she loves! Marlena is sorry, but if it happens, it was all her own doing! She should take responsibility. Sami hisses she will go put her family back together without her in it and storms off to do just that. Marlena the psychologist smiles. Mission accomplished! - Patient Nicole confesses to Dan that she knew it was a mistake to get involved with EJ. Dan wonders why she did it anyway. She admits he broke down her defenses and she fell in love. She was sure he felt the same way, but then he cheated on her again - with that Sami. A frown creases Dan's brow. He would not have seen that coming! She adds he lied about it for months and berates herself for falling for it. Fairytales simply do not happen to people like her. Dan states she should not think like that. Nicole starts to scream and cry that she hates EJ for taking away her dream and she hates herself too. Dan holds her and consoles her as she cries on his shoulder. He is truly sorry, as he has been there. However, it is brave to open one's heart and he admires her for it. She blinks and sighs. "Thank you, Daniel, for being here for me and doing this ..." She now wants to go check into a hotel for some sleep. He agrees to see about her tests. If all is well, he will get her released. She had no idea he still worked at the hospital. He grins neither did he, but it turns out he does. He stands up and wonders if he should call Brady. She replies that she needs no one. From now on, she is on her own. He quietly departs, respecting her decision. Nicole cries. - Sonny is sorry for pressuring Will. But he had assumed he had things figured out. Will whispers he has fought these feelings for so long. He had hoped in time they would go away. He cries he fears now they might never go away. "I'm scared. I have no idea what to do!" Sonny assures him everything will be okay. - Rafe asks Carrie if she really believes in saving one's marriage no matter what. She does indeed. They are soon having coffee and he claims to be glad that she and Austin are working things out. Carrie gushes they are planning a romantic getaway. Austin is surprising her. Rafe forces a grin and looks at her with his soulful brown eyes. "Lucky you." She encourages him not to pull the plug on his own marriage. He mutters at least one of them will be able to save their marriage. - Will confesses to Sonny that he is not sure he is ready to accept this as his lifestyle. Sonny reminds him no one plans it. Will is terrified that his family could reject him. His grandmother is accepting as she is a shrink. But what would others like grandma Kate think? And grandpa Roman with a gay grandson? How would that go over at the police station? In addition, he would have to face his parents. His mom would make this all about herself and he cannot help but care what she thinks. Sonny reasons they might all surprise him, though nervous Will would rather not take that chance. He does not want to risk losing his family. Sonny understands, for he had the same doubts. However, once he takes that step, it will get easier. Will doubts it will be the same for him. Sonny solemnly states he must first accept the truth himself. Is he ready to do that? Will is not sure he is strong enough. Sonny explains life is about one's self-development. Will half grins he is not even sure but Sonny replies he sees that he is. He just might not be courageous enough right now ... - Outside the pub, Carrie asks Rafe if he will be able to forgive Sami. He does not know. Besides, even if he can, there is no guarantee he will be able to salvage his marriage. - Back at the hospital, Dan returns with Nicole's test results. He looks intense. She senses his hesitation and asks what is wrong. He is not sure how she will take the news. She nervously wants to know what it is. Dan shows her what the test results confirm. "YOU'RE PREGNANT!"
