| DAYS OF OUR LIVES SUMMARY Part 2 Thursday, February 16, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! WINNERS AND LOSERS - Part 2 - Jen has news for Abe. It was very close but he did it! He won! The gang cheer. - Back at DiMera mansion, Nicole is very sorry. EJ shakes his head. "There has to be some mistake!" She explains the results have been certified. Kate is baffled as Nicole had been so sure of victory. Stefano growls she did not know what she was talking about! EJ had assumed everything was in place. "And yet you lost!" snaps Stefano. He demands to know what his son is going to do about it. Nicole plans to get some answers. Stefano gets sarcastic about her silly exit polls. EJ gets sarcastic about his old ways of bribery. Things become heated between Stefano and his son. The phoenix rages he put his campaign in the hands of of a bimbo he was bedding. EJ wants him to stop, but he is only just getting started. He has botched this up for the family name! EJ will not argue about this. He walks off to see what he can do. Kate reminds Stefano that John's case was a big part of his campaign and it is not his fault the charges were dropped. This is still EJ's family. Stefano's eyes flicker. - Abigail stands up and Carrie pushes Austin to talk to her. He reasons the guy might not have realized he was leading her on and did not want things to get so far. Carrie argues he was older and therefore responsible. Abigail insists their kiss left her breathless and she feels it was the same for him. He explains the guy might not have wanted to ruin what he had with the other woman. Abigail leers then he used her and went on his way. She exclaims she still loves the guy so now what is she supposed to do! Carrie consoles the girl. Austin adds maybe the guy feels horrible and has not had the chance to explain himself. Carrie points out not all guys are like him. Abigail goes on to say she is hurt and feels like an idiot for imagining spending her life with this man. Carrie is of the opinion that she should not feel dumb for falling in love She deserves better Carrie also feels sorry for the other woman, who does not know what a scum he is. She hugs Abigail, who stares strangely at Austin. - Lexie excitedly gets off the phone with Theo. Jack and Jen head off to deal with the mob of reporters. Lexie praises her husband for playing by the rules. She goes to call the hospital as she will not be available tonight. The reporter who got Abe the debate questions cautiously walks over and congratulates the mayor for winning and giving EJ the fake debate questions. He now takes his leave. As it turns out, Lexie has overheard and hopes her husband can tell her it is not true! Abe first tries to play innocent, but she knows what she heard. Abe explains they did not feel they had a choice. Lexie gasps she cannot believe it. Abe reasons they had no choice. He was sick of EJ's endless dirty tricks and for once he went one-on-one with him. Lexie snaps he was just like him! She told Theo that his father won with honesty, integrity but it was a lie! He lied to the voters and to her! He thinks he can make her understand. Jen approaches and wonders if he is ready for his victory speech. Lexie has tears in her eyes as she tells him to go. He does. - Nicole makes a phone call in the foyer. "You told me there would be no surprises. You fix this! You fix this or you deal with me!" Click. - EJ is on the phone, refusing to concede anything. Stefano wonders if he found out how Carver beat him. Kate wants Stefano to be nice. They now watch Abe's acceptance speech on live television. Mayor Abe stands at the podium and thanks Salem for the opportunity to serve as mayor for four more years. He will do his best and thanks Jen and the team for their support. Applause. Smilin' Jack proudly puts an arm around her. Abe thanks her for helping him run a successful and also straightforward campaign. He then thanks his wife Lexie, for standing by her man, and invites her to join him. The crowd chants and Lexie stands transfixed, not moving. Jen is confused. Abe forces a smile and pretends she is a little shy. Lexie remains frozen. - At DiMera mansion, they are watching Lexie as she stands, wondering why she does not move. EJ wistfully wishes it could have been himself and Nicole. She murmurs it will be them sooner than he thinks! EJ turns and looks at her in surprise ... END |
