Brady asks why she has not left Ian. And why did she even pretend she could consider saying yes to his proposal? Would she have been married to them both? She denies it. He emotionally recalls how he worked hard to get to know her but it was all a lie. He must have been an easy target! She claims that was not the case. He recounts how she is capable of anything, given that she planted Sami in Kate's office to spy. Madison reminds him she called that off. Brady bitterly adds that she and Ian are probably happy liars together. She should go be with him! He wants her to get out and pretend they never existed. He finishes his drink and growls that is what he intends to do! Madison staggers out in tears. - Back in her office, Ian notes Kate doth protest too much. She takes her hand back and calls him a bastard. This is not fun. He pulls her close and murmurs his arms are telling him otherwise. She calls him arrogant and self-absorbed. Her eyes are glazed with tears. He sits on her desk and suggests she hit him after all, given where it might lead. He then touches her face. "I never should have let you go." Kate stares, unable to move. He caresses her cheek, drawls he hopes to see again, and makes for the door. See her when? She now hears he has moved to Salem. After he exits, she sighs, her eyes filled with torment. - Sympathetic Carrie lends her support to Abigail and hopes Austin will do the same. He stammers he is sorry she is hurt and tries to usher his wife away. Carrie wonders where she met this guy. Abigail claims it was at school. Austin cringes but all eyes are on Abigail. Austin states perhaps it was not the man's intention to hurt her. Carrie consoles the girl. Jack wonders if Carrie will help out. Carrie sits down with Abigail and asks if the idiot guy made promises he could not keep. Austin watches and folds his arms. Abigail smugly thanks Carrie for listening. Austin suggests she talk to someone her own age. Abigail insists, however, that Carrie is the perfect person to help her understand why this guy did what he did! The teen scheme queen appears gleeful to taunt the mortified object of her desire ... - Sami starts to yell about Carrie, but Rafe exclaims he loves only HER. How many times must he tell her this? Sami cries that Carrie has ruined everything. She will never ever get past what she saw, the image of him kissing her sister. She knows him well enough to know that he would not kiss a woman like that if he did not have feelings for them. She cannot imagine how he can expect her to live like that. Rafe stops her from leaving, looks into her eyes, and declares he will never agree they are over. "Why?" she sadly whispers. Because she is his everything, He kisses her passionately and she kisses him back, crying. After their long, slow kiss, Rafe walks away. Sami stares after him with longing ... END |
