EJ claims to be annoyed that Will did not remind him of that fact as promised. Nicole does not mind, for today she is sure he will become mayor of Salem. She congratulates him with a kiss. He soon presents her with flowers and a black box. Tis a diamond necklace. She gushes it is beyond beautiful. He tenderly clasps it around her neck and starts to kiss her. Nicole stands up to model the necklace for him in the nude. Shirtless EJ calls her stunning. And he wants her back in bed with him. She gladly obliges. He admits he has been thinking of something she had said after Brady proposed to Madison. She is now embarrassed about her romantic fantasy comment, then realizes it is time to get to the polls, where Abe is going to have one bad day! She insists they get up and get to work. - Elegant Lexie and Abe meet Jen at the house. Abe has given his wife jewelry for Valentine's Day. Lexie asks about Jen's plans with Jack. Jen explains they are having a no pressure day. She offers her guests coffee. Lexie offers to get it herself and flounces to the kitchen, giving them a chance to talk politics. Jen suddenly whispers to Abe that last night she was approached by a man in charge of tallying the votes, who suggested he should adjust the results to make Abe a shoo-in. What does he want her to do? Abe frowns. Why would this man wish to fix the election for them? To save the town from the DiMeras. And EJ is polling strongly. She just needs the word. Abe has until the polls close to decide. Enter Lexie."“Decide what?" Jen pretends they were discussing his tie. Lexie now talks election. Jen insists Abe will not lose to EJ! - The town square is decorated with balloons for election day. A young guy gingerly approaches Will and wonders if it is alright to do this around here. They step away together. Will assures him he will be rewarded if this works. The guy would rather hear this from Mr. DiMera but Will confidently promises it is good enough to hear it from him. - At the condo, John romantically places a butterfly charm on the charm bracelet around Marlena's wrist and wishes her a happy Valentine's Day. The butterfly is to symbolize that this year is a new beginning. She loves it and she loves him. They kiss. He knows she did no sleep well last night and suspects it was due to Stefano. He is sorry he could not protect them from this. Marlena thinks she should not have let Stefano get to her. He agrees they should stay on guard as the phoenix will do anything to get what he wants. Marlena is worried he wants them apart. John drawls he will not succeed and they kiss. He urges her to trust him. - Mel is pretty in purple at the town square. Chad presents her with a card and drawls he thinks about her all the time. Abigail walks up and Mel explains their hot chocolates must be ready. Chad will go get them so the girls can talk. They get an outdoor table and Abigail assures her she and Chad are good together. She now talks Austin. Mel does not want her friend to get hurt and reminds her he is married. Plus, he kissed his wife so he must have feelings for her. She is sorry. Abigail looks down. Chad returns with the beverages and Abigail apologizes for her past behavior. The gang all hug. Abigail smiles he and Mel make a great couple and walks off. - Austin wakes up sleeping Carrie with a long stem red rose and a Happy Valentine's Day wish. He will go pick up some chocolate croissants for breakfast from a French bakery he found. Carrie whispers everything is good with them. Austin loves and wants to spoil her today. She gushes and they kiss. Exit Austin. Carrie happily smells the rose. All of a sudden, hurricane Sami storms in. "You bitch!" she explodes. Carrie stands up and Sami practically slaps her whole head off! Carrie snaps what is wrong with her. Sami rages she is lucky that is all she did. She calls her a liar, a home wrecker and a slut. Carrie insists she is not after her husband but she gets why she is upset. Sami hisses she is just getting started! Carrie wants to know what she wants. Sami wants her to admit that she threw herself at Rafe because he is her husband. She knows what she saw and what would have happened if she had not walked in. She accuses her of wanting to seduce the man she loved, like before. Carrie retorts if she wants to go there, they can, and she will point out what a bitch SHE is! - EJ campaigns at the town square, posing for pictures with babies. Nicole asks Will whether he took care of what she asked of him. He did indeed. Nicole is pleased. Abe soon arrives. As the cameras flash around them, EJ politely greets Abraham. Abe suggests he call him Mr. Mayor. He and Lexie must cast their ballots. EJ gets a text, says a few unpleasant words, and goes through the gate to William, who has summoned him. Will drops a bombshell. He told his mom he saw her having sex with EJ. "You did WOT! Why would you do a stupid thing like that!" He shakes him angrily. Will stammers he knows it was a mistake, but his mom was persistent. EJ quietly rages that Nicole cannot find out. Will reasons the last thing his mom wants is for this to get out. He is certain she will not tell anyone. EJ frowns. - Abigail runs into Austin outside the pub and he declares they need to talk. He feels he owes her an apology. Abigail assumes he means because he stood her up for dinner and kissed his wife. Austin is just sorry she had to see that. She takes his hand and says she does not understand. He withdraws his hand and explains they are working on their marriage, though after what happened, he is sorry. He should not have taken advantage of her. Abigail announces it was the most wonderful night of her life. They made love! He points out he was drunk. He hopes she will find someone to make her happy. She argues but he makes her happy! - On the sofa with her man, Marlena wonders what Stefano would gain by breaking them up. John would rather make love to his wife but Marlena wants to continue this discussion. If he has not resolved his feelings for Hope from the past, it is imperative they do so now! - Chad gives Melanie a very romantic and very public Valentine's kiss. - A reporter asks Lexie about Abe.
