The sales rep shows him a pen which is really a recording device. Nick buys it along with a disposable phone … Chloe notes Parker is taking to Dan well. She suggests they might lose the momentum if he goes away tonight. How about he spend the night with him …. Dan will set up a bed in his room tomorrow night. As for tonight, he offers to leave her the number where he can be reached. Chloe cannot disagree. Dan kisses his boy, wishes Chloe a good night, and excitedly exits. Chloe sticks out her chin, royally miffed. Jen asks Nicole for insight into what Chloe wants. Silence ensues. Jen acknowledges they are not pals but she had assured her she wanted to make amends and urges her to help her avoid going through another nightmare. Nicole coldly dismisses her. Jen now appeals to the side of her that cares about Daniel. Would Chloe be best for him? She starts to leave. Nicole suddenly warns her to watch herself and not give Chloe anything to use against her! Not anything! Jen nods in appreciation and exits. Downstairs at the pub, Rafe tries to cheer Gabi up. She and his little niece are the most important people to him They hug. Nick enters with a smug smile. Rafe is on his way out. Nick assures Gabi that whatever is troubling her, he can guarantee they will be fine! Will now arrives and announces there is something they need to talk about … At the hospital, Father Eric hopes to reassure a nervous parishioner who is having surgery. He also meets Lucas, who assumes he wants to talk church business. Eric shares that Billie suggested he replace her on the church board. Lucas agrees, provided he and Nicole NEVER have to be in the same room together. Eric points out Nicole does want to change. However, he cannot guarantee he will not run into her. Lucas thinks it is a good cause despite Nicole so he is in. He promises there will be no scenes, though he expresses his doubts on the notion of Nicole changing. Father Eric now goes to see his patient Miss Kelly. The elderly lady is relieved he is there. Nicole happens by the open door and stops and stares at the object of her affection ... Chloe angrily puts away toys and then spies Dan’s stethoscope. It gives her an idea. Sami thanks EJ for everything and kisses him on the couch. He was great with Will. EJ gingerly informs her that Rafe apparently promised to get Johnny a bigger FBI jacket. Sami insists that is not happening! Will sits at a table with Gabi and Nick and reminds them they all agreed he will be part of the baby’s life. “Mom and EJ …” He hastily corrects himself. “I think we should get a paternity test before the baby is born.” Gabi gasps. Nick’s eyes glaze over. Will explains he wants to make it legal, to prove to his daughter that he was always proud to be her father. Gabi cannot believe he let EJ and his mom push him into this but Nick claims to understand. They probably just want to protect him. Nick remarks if the test does not hurt Gabi or the baby, it will not pose a problem. Will is pleasantly surprised by Nick’s easy going reply. Gabi is unpleasantly surprised. Nick righteously adds he only wants what is best for the baby. Dan is at Jen’s place with his bag. He takes her bag. She will call Brady to make sure they are still on for the hot club tonight. He muses this is perfect, including her. She now finds a paper with their contact details for Chloe that Dan promised her- only phone numbers - and tells herself nothing will spoil their date. Dan goes to the car. Jen starts to call Brady. Knock knock! Tis Chloe with Dan’s stethoscope. Jen hastily hides the paper with phone numbers. Chloe happily informs her that Daniel and Parker have bonded as father and son and should spend as much time together as possible. Jen coldly retorts their plans cannot be changed tonight. Chloe asks for the contact info Daniel had promised. Jen points out she has his cell phone number. Chloe reasons that cell phones die. She feels she should have his contact information at all times! Jennifer suppresses a grimace. Nicole admires Father Eric as he anoints the elderly patient before her operation. Her eyes are filled with torment. He hopes the Lord will save the woman from sin and raise her up … Nicole is mesmerized. A passing nurse asks if she can help her. She has flyers from St. Luke’s but there is a presently a service in the chapel. The nurse promises to place them later. Nicole thanks her, then observes as Eric assures the elderly patient he will be here for her in her recovery too. She thanks him. Nicole steps away and gasps she simply cannot have these feelings for this man! Jen lies to Chloe that she and Dan will be at a local club tonight. Club Inferno. Chloe is pleased to hear it. Dan now comes in from the back and wonders what Chloe is doing there. Sami assumes Rafe is only using Johnny to get back at her and cause problems. EJ notes he cannot change the fact that Johnny loved that jacket. He points out Rafe does care about the children. Sami suddenly realizes he is not threatened by him. EJ drawls he believes in them, so why would he worry about Rafe? He kisses her passionately. Gabi agrees to consult with her doctor. Nick hopes they are good. Will grins they are. Nick kisses his beloved, shakes Will’s hand, and excuses himself. Will admits to Gabi he was dreading this. He does not want them to have a big fight. Gabi sighs. Meanwhile, Nick goes back to his room, locks the door, and sends a text with his new anonymous phone. At the town square, Lucas takes the call, assuming Ally is ready to come home but the message reads I KNOW YOUR SON SHOT EJ DIMERA. “What the hell?” Lucas looks around but no one is there. Back in his room, Nick the notorious takes a deep breath. He is just getting started …! END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Chloe is desperate to reach Dan. Kristen steps up her game with Brady. |
