He mentions his hopes for a prison ministry. He has spoken with Abe and knows she was on the inside once upon a time. He asks for pointers. She warns him working within the system would take months. First he should get acquainted with inmates. He wonders how. She suggests starting small, working with transitions - someone about to be released, for example. Meanwhile in his prison cell, Nick’s attacker crosses off another day on his calendar. He is someone about to be released. Sonny listens from a chair as Will updates Lucas on what Nick found out. Lucas suspects he has surveillance. Sonny, the son of a lawyer, points out he could not use the recording in court. Will suggests Nick wants family court, to keep him from his child. Nick wants to be the only legal father of his baby. A frown creases Lucas’ brow. “He wants you to give up custody?!” Will laments now he does, though before he was being nice and they all planned to raise the baby together.Lucas wonders what changed things. Will replies with one word. MOM! She gave Gabi stress and sent her into early labor. He suspects that was what motivated Nick. Sonny reminds him that Nick does not deserve the benefit of the doubt here as he is scheming to get his baby from him. Lucas advises Will to listen to his boyfriend. Will, however, genuinely believes Sami is at the root of all the trouble. Sami warns Nick to drop the threats. He insists he will keep Gabi and baby safe. She reminds him Will has rights as the father and he gets to decide if he even gets to see the baby. Nick retorts he loves Gabi and the baby and vows to prevent them from being hurt by a bitch like her. Sami hauls off and slaps his cheek. Nick apologizes for the name calling and concedes she pushes his buttons. What does she want? She just wants him to stop the nonsense about cutting her and Will out of the baby’s life. She suspects his threats were only bluffs. Nick leers he owes her no answers. He has paid his debt to society and she cannot use his record against him. Sami snaps yes she can in family court, but he has an even bigger problem than that! Abe admits all he witnessed was Abigail going for Chloe’s throat. Jen wonders what happened. Dan has an arm around gasping Chloe, who plays the victim to perfection. He asks what happened. She feels dizzy. She tried to apologize and Abigail called her trash. Abigail now calls her a manipulative slut. She laments to Jen that she actually used Jack’s memory against her. Nicole kneels in the dark confessional. “Bless me father, for I sin a lot!” What she is thinking and feeling is so wrong and out of bounds! But the priest listening is not Father Matt. It is Father Eric, who starts to sweat... Chloe the actress cries she only came to tell Abigail she was sorry for their misunderstanding and then she attacked her for no reason. She hugs Daniel, who consoles her. Jen hugs Abigail. Abe disperses the crowd. Will sits on the bed and sighs there is no way out. Supportive Sonny sits beside him. Lucas cannot believe his son is ready to give up. Will laments there is no other way. It is rather ironic that he let his father give up his freedom for him and now he, in turn, must give up his daughter … Sami muses that Nick the notorious paid for his crimes, but Gabi has not. Therefore, he will let Will have access to his daughter. Nick retorts or what? Or she will contact her relations at the Salem P.D. and let them know what an unfit mother Gabi is. “I know what she did last summer! So she stands to lose not just the baby but her freedom cos she will go to prison!” Nick’s empty eyes stare back into hers ... END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Baby Horton gets a name. Chloe brings in her big guns. Abigail sees more of Cam than she was expecting! |
