Nick understands and adds they are in love. He loves Gabi and Will loves Sonny. He feels this would be best but Will does not wish to be pressured, nor does he want Gabi pressured. Gabi promises him he can take his time to decide. Nick explains they are already pretending he is the father so if Will wants to step up and announce that he is the father, now is his moment. But there would be no turning back. Will considers. EJ and Sami have put all the files back into a box, except for one that Sami tries to wrestle from him. Tis her drawings, including the pig. He teases her about her hidden talents. It is late and he is sorry he kept her up. He now carries two boxes to the door. She bids the boss goodnight and closes the door. EJ happily walks to his car. Jen is sorry. Dan snaps not to be sorry. He knows she cannot help it that she does not love him. She does not owe him anything … She stops him and insists she does not pity him and he has no idea how she feels … He interrupts and urges her to stop. Nicole glumly returns to Father Eric’s office and updates him on her disastrous visit with Daniel. She was not able to be a friend and laments she does not know how. Eric disagrees. Nicole admits she is not over Dan and might never be. Eric stands up and patiently explains she shall overcome. He reminds her she is not alone. If she needs help, all she has to do is ask. She thinks his prayers would be futile for her as she is beyond salvation. He points out there is good and bad in everyone. To do God’s will, one must only desire to. She does not believe she is salvageable, though she is glad at least he is happy. Eric’s eyes cloud over. Kristen repeats she wants Brady to leave. He does not. She slaps him across the face. The second time she raises a hand, he grabs her wrist. She gasps to let go. He starts to kiss her and she returns his kiss with equal ardor. She falls back on the bed and takes his hand … Will asks Gabi if this is what she wants. She is not sure but notes this is the only option that would see them all happy in the future. That includes Will and Sonny. And Nick would give the baby a great life. Nick calls it a promise. Will agrees to think about it, suggests she rest, and exits. Gabi and Nick embrace. Will pauses outside the door for a moment and then woefully walks away. Nicole returns to Eric's rectory office but he is not there. The father has gone to bed. He is tossing and turning in bed, his face covered with perspiration. Faraway drums are heard. He wakes up with a gasp, makes the sign of the cross, and proceeds to pray. Dan implores Jen to stop looking at him that way! He cannot be in her sight now. She turns away in sorrow. He assures her he does not blame her but he will not allow her guilt or his to ruin what they had. He opens the door and urges her to go. She does, for that is what he wants. Dan emotionally adds he will always love her. As someone who cares about him she should respect his wishes and stay away. She whispers okay. He shuts the door. Jen’s face falls against the door of apartment 32 as she weeps. EJ is at the town square leaving a phone message for Kristen. He wanted to share that he and Samantha finally have a name for the new lipstick. PROOF! This also reminds him of proof that her plan to make him Samantha’s boss has been a resounding success. He hopes her day is going as smashingly well ... Meanwhile, Brady and Kristen are busy making mad, passionate love in her bed ... ! END |
