She smiles it was Maggie’s doing. She now admits dessert was an excuse to be alone with him. He murmurs then she got what she wanted and they come close to kissing. Ring ring! The doc is summoned to the OR and Jen gushes she hates that. She sees him to the door. Marlena walks through the town square gate and John runs after her. She snaps she saw him with Kristen. He replies this is getting old. Marlena agrees and suddenly suggests he go to Brady’s office right away, to invite him out for New Year’s Eve … Kristen arrives at Brady’s office. He has sent the staff home early. He clears off the table and carries her to it. They proceed to kiss … Gabi arrives at the church and notices the statue of Madonna and Child. Father Eric emerges and asks if she is alright. She was just thinking about going to church as a child, and how soon she will actually be getting married in one! Eric feels she has been holding back in their Pre-Cana sessions and assures her whatever she tells him is confidential. In case there is something else she wants to say … Gabi considers. Dan lingers in the doorway. Jen understands he has lives to save and whispers it has been a wonderful date. He agrees as their faces get closer. He kisses her sweetly on the lips and she returns the kiss. “Happy New Year,” breathes the passionate doctor. She says the same and sends him on his way to do surgery, stars in her eyes. Kate is outside the pub, grumbling about Nick not really deserving anything. When Will wonders what is troubling her, she complains about his illustrious cousin that everyone seems to be happy about having out of prison. “I don’t trust him!” Nick curses when he gets a text, as he is supposed to be at the church. He takes off in a hurry, Eric asks Gabi if she wishes to tell him something. Gabi cannot bring herself to deny it. “Yes Father, there is …” . John approaches Brady’s office. “You in the middle of …something ?” He stops and stares in shock as his shirtless son passionately kisses Kristen on the table. Brady and Kristen look up in horror.
