SO THIS IS CHRISTMAS  - Part 2

Father Eric returns to St Luke’s alone. He kneels down and prays, thanking God for getting him through his first midnight mass. “Nobody fainted, especially me! Thank you for bringing me home, for giving me the chance to do better. Just help me do better as a priest, uncle, brother, son … Most of all, please help my family find peace this year.”

Sami whispers she is not sure what EJ means. He is surprised to hear it and reminds her they work, play and laugh together. Is he imaging it or does she too feel something? Johnny yells at them to watch his scooter ability. Sami nervously covers her eyes. EJ murmurs it will be fine. She removes her hands from her eyes. Johnny excitedly scoots by on his scooter, wishing it was always Christmas “Me too,” admits EJ, standing close to the object of his affection.

Abigail flounces into the coffee house to drag Chad to the Horton party, as no one should be alone at Christmas!

When Brady shows up, Kristen teases him about the gold earrings he
left under her pillow. He admires them on her and starts to kiss her. She plays hard to get, then grabs him as they kiss passionately.

At Horton house, Julie urges Gabi to eat. Nick suggests a donut. Julie jokes if the baby is like his father, he will eat 16 donuts in one sitting! Will glumly watches. Sonny asks if everything is alright. Will decides it
is now and they happily walk off together. Maxine arrives and asks about Daniel. Jen takes her to get a coffee. Santa Victor admits to Daniel he
will never get used to seeing his name on the Horton tree. He chuckles about Maggie putting Jen’s ornament nearby. Abigail happily enters with Chad in tow. Nick glares at his nemesis, then demands to know why Abigail brought him. She insists he is her friend and it is Christmas. She knows not what their problem is, nor does she care. Gabi uncomfortably diverts her gaze.

Lucas now steps up and hands Sonny an envelope. Sonny opens it and informs Will it is a donation to PFLAG in his name. He is touched and thanks Lucas for the gesture. Will wonders if his pop  goes to PFLAG meetings. Lucas grins he does. Will is proud. Lucas insists that he is
the proud one.

Brady and Kristen are in bed, wishing each other a Merry Christmas …

EJ stammers to Sami that he is the kind of man who sticks to his new year’s resolutions. He now declares that that this year he would like for them to be a family.

Maggie is admiring an old picture of Tom and Alice. Doug asks if she is alright. She has a favor she whispers in his ear. Doug now whistles and announces Maggie has got something to say. And so begins an emotional little speech. Tom and Alice must be so proud of their family right now, for they have hung the stockings with care, continuing all their other traditions too. Maggie admits she was not a Horton by birth yet it mattered not for family was family. Every year this group gets a little larger. They always find common ground and know they are loved. Father Eric listens intently, having joined the party. Maggie now looks directly into the camera, adding “And those near and far who can’t be with us today … we wish you a very Merry Christmas!” The cast applaud.
