IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE - Part 2 As they enjoy their wine outside at the town square, Kristen gives Brady his Christmas present. He is admittedly amazed that she thought to pick up a Caldwell original photograph for him. She pretends she did not know he was a fan. Brady is overwhelmed. He wishes he could throw his arms around her right here right now and announce to the world how happy she makes him. He is convinced they were meant to be! He apologizes for not giving her anything. He must soon meet the family for mass but he was hoping they could spend the night together. She teases him about Santa. He muses he already has everything he wants. He assures her there is no need to worry, for Jen will keep her silence about their relationship and will not repeat what she saw. He concludes it will be a very good year. He will see her soon … When he walks away, Kristen purrs to herself that Brady is helping her get the one present she really wants - REVENGE! She wickedly sips her wine. Gabi exclaims they are beautiful as the Hortons open the famous Horton decoration boxes. The gang are elated when Hope joins them via video from halfway around the globe. Ornaments are hung for Bo and Hope, Zack, Chelsea, Jack, Daniel, Jennifer ... Maggie and Victor share a hug. Abigail smiles. Nick hangs his own ornament. Maggie surprises Gabi with hers, which she places by Jessica and Nick’s. Nick suddenly kisses her. Will places his arm around Sonny with a grin. Rafe wistfully watches the event. Lucas places his ornament with Bill’s. Will adds his own beside them. Father and son hug. Many kisses are blown Hope’s way. The final ornaments sparkle brightly bearing the names of Tom the patriarch and Alice the matriarch. Nicole sits alone at the prettily decorated Horton square and mourns for her lost child. She checks her phone, then gets an unexpected video call from cute Sydney, who says she loves her doll. EJ’s voice in the background gently asks what else she would like to say. Sydney wishes her mommy Nicole a Merry Christmas and says she loves her. Nicole loves her too and thanks God above. At Horton house, Jen stands all alone at the tree, admiring Daniel’s ornament. The guests are gone. Maggie joins her and explains they will understand if she is too tired for mass. Jen urges her to go ahead, she will be there soon. Exit Maggie after they exchange I love yous. She now sends Daniel a Merry Christmas text message. He receives it with a big grin and he sends her the same from him. Jen holds her phone close to her heart. She approaches the Horton photos at the mantelpiece, and then takes Jack’s in her hand. “Thank you for taking such good care of me.” She now places a kiss on it and departs, a smile on her face. Far away, Cara thinks she heard Santa coming. Hope sits up and realizes Bo must have gone to get some water after snoring up a storm. She now reads her daughter the Christmas story as Salemites are shown arriving for midnight mass … Sami hugs Will, who takes his seat beside Sonny. EJ comes in and Sami is pleasantly surprised to see him. Kristen waltzes in and smirks at Brady. Jen and Abigail enter all smiles, along with Lucas and Ally, and sit with Maggie and Victor. Dan grins at Jen. She meets his gaze. Rafe suddenly saunters in and Sami’s face lights up. EJ notices. Father Eric smiles when Nicole takes a seat at the edge. All rise and the congregation sings Hark the Herald Angels Sing as Salem’s newest priest makes the sign of the cross whilst kneeling before the altar. John smiles at Marlena. They all sing the last “glory to the newborn king” and a close-up of the baby Jesus in the manger is shown ... END |
