Jen breezes in after him, out of breath. He is a hard man to keep up with but they are not done! Dan is surprised to see her and appears flattered she was stalking him. - Hope meets Brady at the coffee house and thanks him for the donation to the police Christmas fund. Pretty off duty Sara now shows up with a file she is dropping off for Hope. Brady smiles he is glad to see her. The pretty cop, who looks like Catherine Zeta Joes, flirts and smiles at him. She wishes him a Merry Christmas. Hope explains Brady is underwriting and also doing a matching donation for the benefit. They wish each other a happy holiday and she departs. Hope gives Brady a knowing look. He becomes suspicious She has a fantastic idea! She could find out if Sara has a date for the gala. Brady claims he is not interested in dating at the moment but thanks her for the effort. Hope’s face falls. - Sami has happily told Rafe all about the Christmas presents becoming donations. When Rafe learns it was EJ’s idea, he is somewhat surprised. Johnny and Sydney now spot Rafe and come running to hug him. EJ informs Samantha that as the charity needs to determine the appropriate age group for each present, they will need to unwrap and then wrap them all back up. Rafe compliments EJ for his idea, a hint of irony in his voice. Sami gets tense as both men face each other. EJ drawls it felt like the right thing to do. - Jen suddenly asks Dan to show her Parker’s card again. He does. She takes it in her hands and explains she only told him about letting go once because he was hurting from losing Parker. She suspects she knows what prompted him to mention it again today. He was thinking of her too. She removes her coat and gasps there is something important she needs to say. Dan realizes she cannot, then suggests they wait. But Jen thinks it will make things worse for THEM if she does not. Dan stares. - Kristen sits by the town square gate and sends a text message … - Rafe assures Johnny and Sydney he will see them later, reminds them of karma, and starts to leave. EJ politely hopes things are shaping up for his sista. Rafe thanks him. EJ excuses himself to attend to the gifts. Sami adds she should get the remaining presents from the car. Rafe offers to help her. Sami says thanks but she is fine. She wishes him a merry Christmas and he saunters off. She crunches her candy and goes to the car. Kristen comes up behind EJ and teases he seems to be getting into the holiday spirit. He pleasantly hopes she is staying out of trouble. She purrs to define trouble. - Back at the pub, Jen starts to babble about tripping up and then waiting for a signal that never comes. The mind makes things clear, only to self-destruct! She hopes it is not too late. Dan dares her to repeat all that. Jen emotionally admits she now knows what he was waiting for her to say the other day. He gently asks what that would have been. “I said that I love you!” she finally blurts out. Jen triumphantly smiles at Dan the man. “Wow,” says he. She echoes the sentiment. He grins she remembers. She marvels she said she loved him and he said he loved her too. He reminds her she later advised him not to hold her to anything she said in her semi-conscious state. Jen, however, assures him she is sure of how she feels. And she is not even sedated! There is such clarity. She blinks up at him with her baby blues. “I love you.” He wraps his arms around her. They glance up at the mistletoe hanging overhead and move closer for a kiss. Their lips start to touch ... - Rafe is waiting at the rectory when Gabi emerges, pleasantly surprised. He stopped by to see how Pre-Cana went. She smiles it was good. She explains they are done and Nick is filling out forms in the other room. Rafe acts positive about the whole thing. Gabi now informs him that Maggie has invited them over for Christmas eve and wants them to bring tamales too. Rafe will be there. She wonders whether he has other plans, with Sami and the kids. But Rafe’s only plan is to make sure she has a wonderful Christmas. Gabi is elated and hugs him. - Brady repeats to Hope he appreciates the effort though he has no interest at all in dating. He exits and she wishes him a Merry Christmas. Marlena reappears, having overheard, and notes he shut her down fast. This is worse than she thought! Hope warns she is playing with fire by not telling John what she saw. - Sami walks back to the town square, laden with gifts, and spies Kristen and EJ in an intense conversation by the glittery white Christmas tree. She sneaks up behind them and listens. EJ quietly advises his sister not to be coy with him the way she is with others. Kristen muses she has probably already shared too much and would not want to be gloaty. EJ points out he told her everything about himself so she owes him the whole gloaty story. Kristen gushes she is getting close to someone. He wonders who. Kristen teases he is not going to like it. Meanwhile, Sami strains her ear to get every juicy detail ...!. END |
