Does he have her blessing? She gushes he does and embraces him, though her eyes mirror her grave concern. Nicole is relieved to hear patient Jen will be fine. Dan notes she will be needing antibiotics. Nicole offers to fetch get them from the vial outside. Dan sits beside Jen and gently pats her head with a very steady hand. “Daniel,” she whispers. He whispers her name. She opens her eyes and they stare at each other. Johnny would like to go see Santa. Rafe hands him a few dollars for the donation. Not wanting to be outdone, EJ adds his own dollars to that. Johnny scurries off like an imp. Rafe stands up. He sarcastically wonders if he gave him a hundred, just to outdo him. EJ grins it was a five and insists he is not threatened by his relations with his son. Rafe mentions Sami and muses he seems to have her exactly where he wants her. EJ claims they happen to work well together. Nearby, Will stops and watches Johnny telling Santa his concern that he will not know where to bring their presents, as they sleep at different places with different chimneys. The lad is clearly stressed. Santa strokes his head. Will flashes back to recently explaining that he did not want his baby to be passed back and forth … Nick plops himself down at the table and Gabi updates him on Sami the wedding planner. Sami will not accept her protests that she does not have to help. She is on a mission to give her the wedding of her dreams. Nick and Gabi are all smiles. Sonny is back to work at the coffee house when mad Chad saunters in. He places his hands on his hips and sits down with a sigh. He tells his business partner and once friend that he is wrong to side with Will on the Gabi issue. He is not the bad guy here! And he is ready to talk. Chad is going to tell him exactly what Gabi did and he is convinced it will make him hate her too! Dan asks if Jen misses her appendix. She weakly laughs no, praises him for performing the surgery, and thanks him. She suddenly winces that it still hurts. Dan nervously holds her hand. As they keep a watchful eye on Johnny, Rafe warns EJ that Sami is actually smarter than he gives her credit for. EJ claims to know she is smart, which is precisely why he hired her. Rafe wants to continue with a word on ulterior motives but Johnny comes back and updates daddy on Santa explaining his letter to him must have been lost. He asks what snickerdoodle cookies are. EJ crouches down and smiles his motha happens to have a snickerdoodle cookie recipe from her grandmother. Shall they try it tomorrow? “Awesome!” exclaims little Johnny. EJ stands up with a triumphant grin and faces Rafe. He politely bids him a Merry Christmas, hopes Santa will bring him what he wants and leaves with Johnny. Rafe and Johnny say their friendly goodbyes. Chad insists Sonny is his friend and requests what he tell him remain between then. Sonny agrees. Chad leers evil bitch is an understatement where that Gabi is concerned cos she is responsible for what happen to Melanie! Sami happily plans the wedding as Gabi excitedly listens. Sami talks bridal party. Rafe will walk her down the aisle. Sami suggests Abigail as maid-of-honor, Ally as the flower girl. Gabi thinks it sounds nice. Nick teases all he has to do is show up in a tux. Sami wonders about a best man. Nick explains his good friend who would be the best man still has five years left to serve in prison. Sami bursts out laughing, then realizes he was serious. There must be someone local who could do it … When Will enters Caroline happily exclaims there is the best man! Will isat a loss for words. Still at her side, Dan promises Jen she will be fine. They will get her the necessary drugs as soon as they are back in Salem. He praises her for doing well. Jen suddenly places a hand on her head and laments her heart hurts. The medicine man insists he went nowhere near her heart. Groggy Jen moans he did indeed and it says what she feels for him. It is not pity like he thinks. “I love you Daniel!” she whispers, gazing up at him. Dan gazes back, looking through the eyes of love ... END |
