Drinking never made her feel better, but she is an alcoholic, whereas he is not. Dan calls his life a cliché like an old song about losing a dame and taking to the bottle. The redhead offers him a nice cup of tea. She wishes she could make him feel better. And she wishes she had not been Jen's biggest cheerleader either. It remains a mystery why she did this. Dan thinks he knows. Jack. He smiles all is not lost, though. Parker will be returning and he has his son. He knows drinking would not be the answer. The redhead lets him know she told off Jen for her behavior. He grins he will be okay. In fact, he intends to take a walk right now and get some fresh air. Maggie is sympathetic, smiles she will call him tomorrow, and he walks her to the door, thanking his mom for being there. They share a family hug. Jen wants Kristen the fair-weather friend to leave. Kristen concedes she and Jack did not always get along, but she knows he would want her to be happy. She exits. Jen hugs a cushion and holds one of Parker's toys. She gasps "Good God!" when the doorbell rings yet again. There stands her worst enemy. Jen promptly kicks Chloe off her porch. Chloe leers Parker is coming back but to be clear, nothing has changed. She must stay out of the way. Jen hisses she wants poor Parker to have a good father and his mother is a witch, that is her motivation. Chloe departs. Jen slams the door after telling her she hopes she is happy now! Eric explains to Nicole that Father Matt will now be in charge of Vargas. He hopes she will cut the former felon some slack. She assures him they are getting along now. Eric sighs he will really miss her and exits. Nicole leans against the rectory wall and laments he does not know the half of it! She sits down at her desk and sighs, assuming it was God who did this. She had too many impure thoughts. She tells Him she knows she asked for help but ... She stands and tells God she realizes she does not deserve to be trusted. However, she still needs Eric, he gets her through the days. She cries not to let him leave and shakes her heart broken head. All of a sudden, Father Eric reappears with miraculous news. The transfer papers were for someone else, they were attached to the wrong email. T’was a mistake. He will be attending the conference and then returning to St Luke's! Nicole smiles up to the heavens. Chad is doubled over with laughter that they mistook Cam's prop gun for the real deal. Cam now confesses he took this job as he needed money to pay off students loans and wanted to help his mom. Abigail realizes she saw him giving payment to a loan shark. Chad wonders why he did not come to him. They are family. Cam claims he does not want DiMera money and urges them to keep his secret. They agree and Cam gets back to work. Chad and Abigail sit and discuss, though Chad finds it hard to keep a straight face. Abigail wishes her boyfriend would get another part tome job. Chad notes it would not pay as much. They watch the women scream as Cam the cop heats up the stage and proceeds to disrobe. Abigail is not smiling. Kristen returns to the mansion, pleased to find beautiful roses from Brady. She reads the romantic note attached and tells herself it is not her fault that men are the weaker sex. She declares this must be done, crumples and drops the note, and goes to the DiMera desk. She marvels she must have John where she wants him by pretending she thinks they are not over and lets one of their old pictures burn in the dark DiMera fireplace. Meanwhile. John stares at the old photo of himself with Kristen and wonders what she is trying to tell him. He flashes back to their passion and raises an eyebrow. She thinks it is not over. He pushes the old box in the trash with his boot. Dan saunters through the pretty town square, where he runs into the fair Jennifer, He turns, cocks his head, and keeps on walking ... END!
