"I'm gay!" - At the pub, Nicole wonders if Rafe keeping his distance from Carrie and Austin would be tolerable. He offers her more ice cream. She would rather have a martini but it is not possible. She has noticed he is glum about heading home. He laments he misses the chaos of living with the kids, then agrees they should leave. She invites him to first check out the movie they are playing at the town square before going to their respective homes. He agrees and they depart together. - Carrie and Austin are back in their room and exchange I love yous. They kiss passionately and the clothes start to come off. Carrie closes her eyes. After the passion, she slips out of bed, where Austin lies in a peaceful slumber, and puts on her robe. - John growls at Stefano to stay away from his wife and stay away from all of them! The phoenix decides they have now received his message and know what he wants. He bids them a goodnight, if they are able to enjoy it, and strolls away. Bo requests the whole story. He could not help but notice that Stefano seemed very ready to deliver on his threats! ISA John's eyes narrow. - Nicole and Rafe walk to the town square, where the night is underway. Tis a montage of "It Happened One Night." She knows the ending and it is dismal so she invites him to her place for a cocktail. She will pretend to have one. He does not think he is very good company and decides to hang around here. Nicole assures him she can walk herself home and takes her leave. - Hope and John update Bo on the mysterious coin the phoenix was so desperate to get his sinister hands on. John deduces they need to get it back from Agent Spencer to find out why it is so significant to Stefano. Marlena points out he might not give it over but John drawls he will not have a choice in the matter! - Mel returns to boyfriend Chad. Abigail goes to sit beside Cameron and hopes they can start over. He says maybe. She admits she has not been on her game. He pretends he had not noticed. She now thanks him for saving her life. This all works for him and he asks if she wants more popcorn. Abigail playfully hits him. Meanwhile, Chad and Mel cuddle and kiss. Rafe sadly watches the screen above as the heroine tells the hero she loves him and always will and they belong together. The hero explains things are too complicated to make it work. As Rafe woefully watches and listens, Carrie arrives and sadly listens to the same exchange. Rafe watches her watching the star-crossed lovers in the film. - EJ impatiently drinks and assumes fatha is busy somewhere making someone else's life miserable. Enter Stefano. He perceives Kate and EJ standing together and remarks misery loves company. He suggests they leave but EJ insists on answers. He shows him the secret cache of files. "Fun time is over fatha!" The phoenix lights a cigar and coldly muses he thought it had just begun ... END |
