Bewitched, Bothered, and Betrayed - Part 2 - EJ assumes Abraham stole the election with the fraud she caught and they uncovered. Yes? Nicole admits that is only part of the story. She proved Abe tried to cheat only after she discovered that his father was working against him. He rigged the election. Stefano was the one who made sure he lost! EJ retorts that makes no sense, for they are both on team DiMera. Nicole sympathetically points out one should not put one's faith in Stefano. He reasons a father would not do such a thing to a son. "Why would my own fatha want to destroy me?" Nicole notes there is no honor amongst thieves. EJ confesses to her that he and he alone did indeed bring John Black down. He wanted to prove himself to fatha, prove he was capable of running his empire. But then fatha stole the election from him! He exclaims he is a fool. Nicole wants him to be careful. If he did frame John, he should admit it to no one. She is curious why he believes Stefano was undermining him. He goes to the files and shouts there is no doubt. He placed John's stolen money in safe accounts but the entire time, Stefano was pulling the strings! He looks ready to cry. - Carrie is outside the pub when Rafe approaches with a pen of hers he wanted to give back. She is cold. He wonders why. He assures her he cared about her and still does. She calls her feelings a lapse in judgment and angrily accuses him of sleeping with Nicole. She knows she is having his child! Rafe sighs. She yells at him for thinking that he would not get caught. Now the joke is on her! Rafe insists what they had was real but Carrie argues if that were true, he would not have slept with Nicole. - At the town square, Austin's student is late. He is elated to run into Billie. They sit and catch up over coffee. He wants to know all about her living at the mansion. She is relieved Stefano is not there for she will get the chance to know that EJ better. Austin remarks no one really knows EJ. Billie is soon stunned to learn of Abigail's lies. Austin just wishes he had been open with Carrie form the start. He yearns to get back to the man he was. Then things will be golden. Billie just hopes Carrie is as committed to making their marriage work. Austin explains that one day Carrie decided she wanted to make their marriage work and it was a turning point. Billie does not wish to be negative, but saying and doing are two different things, though she wants things to work for them. Austin understands. He is determined to be the same man Carrie first fell in love with. If they can go back to that, he is certain she will never have eyes for Rafe again! .- Mel is now wearing the pretty pink robe and brings Chad breakfast in bed. They start to kiss. He loves her ... - Back at the mansion, Nicole suggests perhaps Stefano was trying to protect his son but EJ numbly states he only cares about himself. Nicole feels badly for the poor investors. EJ exclaims he intended to give the money back. The only person he wanted to hurt was John Black. She asks where they money went. EJ placed it in offshore accounts, which were supposed to be secure, though as of now, it is all GONE! - Austin returns with more coffee for himself and Billie, who is awaiting a call back from Spencer, though she does not let on. Austin still has Carrie on his mind. He repeats her feelings for Rafe have passed ... - Rafe begs Carrie to trust him. He cares for her. Carrie bitterly snaps he is certainly not the man she thought he was and turns to leave. Rafe grabs her and declares he is going to tell her the whole truth ...! END |
