Wild Hearts and Homeward Bound - Part 2 - ISA Spencer explains they already have an operative working on the Basic Black missing funds but that agent is not getting anywhere. John drawls once he is back in town, working on the case, that will change. Spencer, however, begs to differ. It would be a conflict of interest. John understands. Spencer is convinced they will nail DiMera this time. Hope just wants to get out of there first. - Mel gushes to Chad she would love to go back to his place. He grins. Meanwhile, Gabi is already there, throwing yellow rose petals onto the bed. She lights some candles in a huff, as instructed, then wonders why she is doing this. Eerie music is heard. She imagines seeing the pair in bed as they taunt her for her jealousy. Gabi blinks back to reality, then accidentally knocks over a framed picture of Mel and Chad. She picks it up. The frame is cracked. So is Gabi ... - EJ announces to a stunned Nicole he would even raise Rafe's baby as his own. He points out he would know the only reason she was with another man was because he drove her to it. Nicole melts. She longs to believe him. He urges her to say she will come back to him. She cries she wants to, but alas she cannot! - Rafe tells off Sami for pretending to be such a victim. The kids are the real victims here! She insists she is a good mother and was a good wife. "Things happen." He cannot believe she is still in denial about the lies and chaos she causes. She reminds him he was lusting after Carrie. She, on the other hand, was grieving about her son being dead. Rafe cannot believe what he is hearing, how she twists things around. He loved her so much, even though he knew she was messed up. Even with the flaws. She snaps not to pity her like that. He drawls he no longer pities her, nor does he want to rescue her from her lies and selfishness. Sami gets sarcastic. Rafe admits he stayed with her as long as he did because he loved the kids. He still does, as if they were his own. Little Johnny now toddles out. He is pleased Rafe is there and wants a glass of water. Sami goes to get it. Johnny asks Rafe to read him a story, just like he used to. Rafe melts. Johnny is later coloring with pal Rafe. Sami decides the time has come to go back to bed. Rafe tells his little buddy goodnight. - Stefano's flunky cannot get an answer from his airport contact's line. The phoenix orders him to go and see for himself what is happening. He is growing impatient. - Mel and Chad enter his place. She is impressed it looks so romantic there. He offers her champagne. She gushes they can do that later. He holds her in his arms and lets her know he wants her. They exchange I love yous and kiss passionately. - At the airport, ISA Spencer soon has news. He informs Hope and John that the ISA is breaking international law for them. They have a private jet ready to take them home. Hope is thrilled. She and John finally walk away from the dangers of Alamania ... - Meanwhile, Stefano blasts his man on the phone for losing John, Hope, as well as the coin! He slams down the receiver in a fit of rage. - A song plays in the background as Chad and Mel take it to the bed. "Words just aren't enough I'm sure I could not ask for mooooooore," croons the singer as they revel in their lovefest. - Outside and alone on a bench, Gabi glares at Mel and Chad's photo and eerily rips it into tiny pieces. - EJ tries to hold Nicole. She cries to let her go. "I can't get my hopes up, EJ, just for you to break my heart!" She always came back, for she loved him and thought he had changed but he never will change. He promises he has learned his lesson and things will be different. She exclaims there is nothing left this time. Perhaps this is all there is of their happy ending! Nicole takes off. EJ stands alone. He watches sadly as Rafe emerges and follows her ... END |
