Marlena is a vision in yellow in her elegant home. John brings in his last box with a roguish grin. He is finally home! Marlena laments until the ISA calls him to action ... At the Kiriakis mansion, Theresa tells bicep billionaire Brady she is now not into drinking. She alludes to being otherwise occupied and appears empowered by future possibilities. Why even her arch enemy Abigail could not help but praise her talent ... Nicole ends a call at the club with Dr. Dan, who has to work later than expected. The dutiful fiancee will wait. Kate comes and cattily calls her a housewife. But then she gets her a martini for a chat. Nicole is smugly suspicious ... At the house Aiden twirls Hope around with joy, thrilled she said yes. Aiden insists on slipping the ring on her finger for the whole world to see. He senses she is not over Bo but Hope insists that is not the case. More smiles, sweet nothings,and then the lawyer must leave to help a client in need. Alone with her thoughts again, Hope stops smiling ... At the station, Justin tries to calm crying Eve, who feels alooooone. He assures her he is here. Rafe gives her a sympathetic stare ... After Eve departs, Justin and Rafe discuss the tragedy of losing her beautiful young daughter who only wanted to do the right thing. Enter the Chad looking uneasy. Rafe tells him to take a seat in the interrogation room and solemnly states the D.A. wants to lock him up, whereas he is his best friend at the moment. Chad scoffs. Rafe confronts him with the petal from the Euro flower just like the ones in the DiMera garden. Chad notes he no longer lives there. Rafe now asks for his alibi for this afternoon and is met with silence ... Theresa shows Brady her designer sketches. He murmurs they are goooood. She asks for his help again but Brady turns her down flat. He repeats he gave Nicole half the funding for Basic Black and will not help her worm her way back into his life ... Nicole muses Kate must be after her money. Kate coos and congratulates her for winning her civil suit against Serena and Xander. Nicole notes she gave the Serena winnings to charity. Kate knows about the quarter million from Victor. Nicole wonders what she wants with it. Kate meets her soap stare. BASIC BLACK ... As Hope ponders her future, prisoner Bo is far away in a dungeon, hanging from the ceiling, shirtless, half dead. He gasps when his torturer tosses water on him. The torturer leers to tell them what they want to know. Bo says nothing ... Chez Marlena and John, Brady comes in with colorful flowers for the lady. He teases John that she is brave to put up with him. She has the sparkly stuff ready and John grins about making a toast to his working with the ISA again. Brady berates him for endangering himself again. John gets tight-lipped and tries to change the subject. Someone knocks at the door and John opens it slightly to Theresa. What the hell is she doing here?! ... Maggie greets Dan at the hospital. He grins he is getting together with Nicole tonight and praises his mom for trying. She is indeed and again offers to throw an engagement party. As long as Nicole makes him happy, then she is happy about their union ... Nicole delights in insulting diva Kate, who has claimed her corporate experience could lead Basic Black to soar. She suggests a partnership. Nicole knows she would try to take over and leers she would not work with her if she was the last bitch on earth! Kate waltzes out warning her she is going to regret it ... When Rafe emerges from the interrogation room, Justin lectures him for being too soft on the suspect. Suited Aiden arrives and demands the D.A. release his client immediately ... Hope is at the house,informing Doug and Julie she just got engaged to Aiden. Julie is over the moon but Doug turns away. He does not believe she is over Bo. Hope gets emotional about Bo deserting her and is desperate to have a future instead of hanging on to the past ... Attorney Aiden reminds ambitious Justin that the burden of proof is on him to prove his client killed anyone. The D.A, thunders he knows from witnesses he argued with Serena, there is his blood on that club napkin! Aiden argues that is circumstantial. D.A. Justin declares he can hold him as a material witness for a few days, which is exactly what he intends to do. He storms off and Aiden asks Rafe to let him see his client ... John advises Theresa to back off from bothering Brady for the Basic Black funding and sarcastically suggests she use her own reputation to come up with the cash. Then he closes the door on her. Kate is concealed around the corner and has overheard. Inside John sighs to Brady and Marlena it was merely someone seeking a handout ... Nicole is now at a club table with Daniel. She giggles as she tells him the look on Kate's face when she told her how Brady fronted her half the funds for Basic Black. Dan had no idea her mysterious benefactor was Brady and urges her to find another. Nicole had not been expecting this. Is he actually jealous??? ... Eve has been drowning her sorrows at the square and sent Justin a text to please come. He does and she laments she does not want to be alooooooone. There are no words Justin can say to console her so he sits helplessly while she drinks ... Doug caves when Hope cries Bo is never coming home and agrees to support the new marriage. Julie gushes she has to get to planning ... Meanwhile Bo cries out in pain as he is given electric shock after electric shock ... Brady and Marlena continue trying to wear down John, who makes light of the ISA danger awaiting him. Brady knows how fearful Marlena is whenever he is on a mission. Marlena does not deny it. How to celebrate the man she loves might never return to her?! They eat tarts and John nervously repeats how good it all was ... Detective Rafe returns to the interrogation room, confronting suspect Chad about the petal left behind at the scene of the crime. It comes from the DiMera garden. Aiden argues Chad no longer lives at the DiMera mansion. Besides, was Serena not mixed up with Xander and dangerous blood diamonds? Rafe notes Chad so far has given no alibi for either of the two murders ... Justin tenderly tells Eve he can drive her home ... Marlena cannot believe the audacity of Theresa trying to buy Basic Black.Brady explains she likes to design and they are good. John grimaces. Marlena muses the girl has no chance ...Kate approaches disheartened Theresa at the square and hands her some candy. She sits beside her and also eats. Theresa wonders why she is speaking to her. Kate states they have some common friends and adversaries. Theresa wonders whether the successful diva had a mentor as a young girl. Kate cackles hers was an unconventional road to success. Theresa yearns to know how she too can succeed amid the obstacles. Kate points out one must promote what one has and not what one does not have. Theresa excitedly takes out her designs. Kate tells her they are good and waits for the right response until she gets it. Theresa giggles they are DAMN GOOD. Kate is pleased... Hope meets Aiden at the club and they kiss. She gushes she gave Doug and Julie their news and Julie suggested they get married during the Salem Bicentennial. Aiden agrees and wants champagne to celebrate the fact that she is now wearing the engagement ring in public ... Kate slyly suggests she and Theresa help one another in their quest to get Basic Black ... Dan denies being jealous of Brady. However, Nicole turning to him for help is almost like a bad habit. Nicole denies it and is determined to prove him wrong. Dan gazes at her in admiration ... Marlena and Brady refuse to let John keep avoiding the ISA talk. He explains it is personal and then finally blurts out the truth ... John's Mission! Justin escorts Eve out of the elevator toward her apartment. She cries she cannot bear going in where Paige will never be again and he consoles her with an embrace. Eve impulsively kisses him on the lips and he kisses her right back ... Chad has been locked in the Salem jail, a DiMera without an alibi. He soap stares through the bars ... Bo's torturer taunts he will be back, assuming he is still alive. He opens the door and light pours on our hero's face. The door closes and Bo shuts his tired eyes. Time is running out ...! THE END |
