Now without further ado ...

At the Kiriakis mansion Theresa descends the stairs like the lady of the manor. She gushes about almost crawling Tate and suggests corner cushions. Brady makes a sarcastic comment and she thanks him for putting dangerous Zan in jail. He gives her a strange look Е Dan finds woman in green Nicole at the office daydreaming of success. Dan drops the bombshell of SerenaТs murder. Needless to say Nicole is shocked and saddened, wondering whether it was somehow her wicked fault Е Meanwhile woman in blue Kate is late meeting Clyde at the park. He is petulant and demands she change her late excusing ways Е John surprises Marlena at VictorТs club. He wishes to tell the story of them right here right now, hence the way things are set up. Marlena is momentarily overwhelmed. First the mood music and then he starts his trip down memory lane to win her over. He indicates a restaurant table like the table where he first laid eyes on his soul mate.She gushes he saved her life. He gushes she was his purpose. She smiles about also being smitten He takes her hand and credits her for who he is. She sighs about all their trials and tribulations. It was way easier to be them against the world. She seems uncertain of how to get that old trust back Е Theresa thinks Zander was taught to mistreat women, unlike Brady, who treats the fairer sex as royalty. She praises his heroics and tries to get close. Brady snaps she does not know when to stop, his blue eyes blazing Е At the square Jen bumps and blasts Eve for almost getting JJ killed Е JJ has been summoned to KyleТs lair. He has the meth he wants him to sample stat. JJ gets jumpy and with good reason Е Nicole laments she did say Serena deserved to be punished but did not want her to die. Enter the producer all excited about covering the death of the buxom redhead, insisting Nicole interview her former flame the priest. Dan and Nicole are disgusted Е Abe meets with Justin, having emerged from a council meeting. They sit and have water together, man to man in the boardroom. The mayor has quit and Abe has become the interim mayor. Justin congratulates him. AbeТs first act was to fire the ineffective DA. He notes he needs a driven DA, one who could catch the killer in their midst. He suggests Justin, since he is smart and hard working, with a name that gets respect. Justin jokes about it scaring people, Abe laughs and they shake hands. DA Justin is IN! Justin intends to not only get the killer off the street but also nail that bastard who stabbed his son Е Theresa sulks alone on the sofa. Maggie enters and gets her to open up about Brady repeating he does not care about her. She gasps he will never love her. The redhead reminds her one starts by loving oneself. Theresa gets snarly. Maggie urges her to be the real Theresa, the one she hides from the world. Theresa admits they had one good moment, her and Brady, when she knocked a drink out of his hand. Maggie muses then she got back to scheming. She suspects there is a lost girl who is fearful of getting hurt somewhere in there Е JJ hesitates. Kyle claims he will wonder what his deal is if he does not do as told Е Jen leers at Eve for her latest leaked lies about JJ. Now there is a target on his back. Eve leers once an addict always an addict. Jenny bitch slaps her. Eve bitch slaps her right back. Insults are hurled. Mayor Abe and DA Justin break it up. Jen storms off and Eve says hello. Justin wonders if she has something to say. Yes after a drink Е Kyle gets his gun out and lets JJ know he is done with him. JJ agrees to do it and takes the meth in his hand Е Clyde demands he be the most important thing in KateТs life. She knows he would not do the same for her and starts to leave. He grabs her back and demands respect. Kate lets him know she is done dating a narcissist. That means he is DUMPED Е Nicole refuses to interview Eric. Dan starts to argue with the boss. Nicole finds out she could be fired for refusing and decides to quit on the spot Е John suavely lifts a lid revealing a yellow rose. They remember when he showed he loved her with a yellow rose once upon a time. Back to reality. He knows the roses and strawberries with whipped cream are not enough. She refers to his running off to the ISA. He gently assures her he is here for the long haul and he is going to bring back as many memories as it takes to win back the woman he loves. Marlena looks ready to cry Е

Marlena emotionally explains she wants them to work yet she worries. John wonders. She gushes their years together were the greatest but also the hardest. The hurt to her heart would be unbearable if anything happened to him Е Theresa cries about being a bad girl but her dad was rarely around while Kim did have issues of her own. Maggie is sympathetic and suggests she show Brady her softer side. Theresa gets shrill. Maggie was looking for Brady and lets it slip John intends to sell Basic Black. Theresa confesses she used to dream of being a designer. So much for getting a break. The redhead does not believe in letting dreams die and suggests Brady could get her an internship. Theresa, however, aims higher Е Dan teases Nicole as she packs her office belongings in a box. She lets him know her latest career goal. To OWN Basic Black Е JJ reasons he does not want to get hooked again. Kyle puts the gun to his chest and accuses him of wearing a wire. JJ is frozen, hands in the air. Kyle is clearly losing it as he cannot find any wire Е John shows another table, a replica of one in New Orleans, and Maison Blanche. Their future always began with the past and they flash back to the passion of their lives. Marlena is not unaffected. He drawls was it worth it doc? Е Theresa approaches billionaire Brady and lets him know she wants to buy Basic Black. He questions where she would get the cash so she suggests HE give her a loan. Exasperated Brady says NO. Theresa turns and insists she will make it happen without him Е Nicole complains to Dan she does not have the cash for Basic Black. He suggests they ask Victor for ZanderТs money but she would need even more. Nicole gets to thinking the way she always does Е At the club Eve downs an afternoon shot. Justin gets she had a bad day. She sighs all her Salem days are bad. She calls Jen and her mom crazy and troublemakers. Justin gets sarcastic about trouble maker Eve Е Clyde is angered when Kyle calls him to come over and handle a problem since he pays him for that. JJ gets a call from Jen. Kyle still has the gun on him and prevents him from answering. Jen leaves an innocent message from the pub about checking on him. She cannot shake her bad feeling Е JJ still has his young anxious eyes on crazy KyleТs gun, which is still on him. He dares not blink Е

At the hospital Theresa complains to Anne and insists she has the way to BradyТs heart but she will be needing her help ... Kate has a bloody Mary at the club as amused Roman admires her. She complains about men all being the same. Kate declares she is bored but decides to do something about it Е Marlena emotionally agrees it was all worth it. John hopes she is willing to roll the dice again. He can promise her his wholehearted commitment and reveals the next table with flowers, the same bouquet as the one she held for their first wedding. He recalls her quote from the Song of Solomon and Marlena of the past is shown marrying the man she loves. Her heart was full. Marlena of now remembers and gives John of now a romantic soap stare as her words from the past continue. УWhatever comes I am yours, my love until death ЕФ John tells her he is hers and reminds her how they always cheated death. Then he places a diary in her hands and she smiles it is blank. He cries and calls it their future for the best is yet to come. Marlena blinks her beautiful eyes as a romantic guitar plays in the background. John drawls he wants to fill these pages together. She cries she does too and starts with a kiss. A real one worthy of a great love story Е Back at the hospital, Anne admits the Bank of Annie is not with funds. Theresa the perfumed power talks investor Е Nicole notes she needs an investor to add to what she has as she discusses with Dan at the club. Kate happens by and listens Е Eve downs another drink and asks Justin about his problems. He declares he just became the DA and they toast to that. She wants to be friends. He grins to stay out of trouble and drinks his own drink. Eve feels Adrienne was a fool to let him go. He admits he was Е Eve smirks a very bad boy Е Clyde arrives at KyleТs apartment, looks at JJ looking at him, and slowly shakes his head. Then he makes Kyle take action Е

Kyle reacts. He clocks JJ on the head with his gun. Jump Street JJ falls to the floor unconscious. Clyde now considers his next move Е
