STORMY WEATHER

PART 1

- Bo and Hope have just arrived from the snowy outdoors. The Kiriakis mansion is ready for an elegant wedding! Maggie is excited. She cannot believe tomorrow she will be married and maybe even have a new son. Hope remarks she saw Dan's car outside and wonders how things are going. Maggie states he has been nice and charming. She is so happy and hopes she will not cry and make her eye makeup run! The gals and Bo join Victor, Justin, Dan, and Mel in the living room. Bo teases the Greek tycoon about suddenly becoming shy. Victor's response is to grab the redhead in a kiss. The group love it! Mel quietly asks papa Dan how he
is doing. He claims he has no care in the world. She doubts he is as fine
as he tries to pretend he is. Dan informs butler Henderson that he needs something stronger than just the champagne he is offering and helps himself to a good stiff drink, which he downs. Maggie approaches and smiles perhaps it is time they had a talk. He reminds her that he already had two parents he loved. Maggie understands. It is not her intention to replace them. Dan points out she used to be less than warm and fuzzy towards him. She does not deny it, but points out one makes mistakes. She does not want to lose the relationship they have now, so the ball is
in his court about how far to take this. He appreciates it. Meanwhile, Justin has bad news for Victor. The bad weather might prevent Sonny
and Adrienne from being able to make it. Bo adds he spoke to Doug earlier and he is having the same problem. Victor curses.  He wanted everything to be perfect for his beloved. Justin notes they will have to
tell her. Vic thinks they should wait and let her enjoy her moment with Melanie. Nearby, Maggie gives Mel a present for her birthday. Tis a pretty necklace that will look beautiful with her dress. Maggie insists she could not love her more, regardless of the DNA test results. Mel shyly asks her for another birthday present. Can she call her grandma? Maggie would be delighted. In fact, that would be a present for her! They embrace. Dan watches.
- At DiMera mansion, EJ is rehearsing a speech about hard work and change. He crumples the paper, tosses the speech aside, and calls it cr*p. Nicole enters and quips she wrote that! She gets testy and he apologizes. She stares at him. He insists he is sorry. Nicole thinks he should be up front when he does not like what she writes. He thinks it was more his delivery. He stops her from leaving and charmingly explains he needs
her. After all, he has a few interviews to prepare for. He muses she was
a very worthy adversary once upon a time. She refers to their marital conversations with flying plates. He laughs and suggests she stay for dinner. They can eat in front of the fireplace, just the way she likes it. Nicole glances out the window and remarks the roads are pretty bad.
For now it is snow, but it could get icy and she does not drive in icy conditions. He grins they will have to eat fast, in that case. A cozy table awaits. They soon dine and enjoy fine champagne as Nicole plays the
role of interviewer, to help him prepare. She asks if he feels the citizens
of Salem will not be worried about having a morally bankrupt DiMera in charge of their legal system. He answers like a true politician and she is impressed. He drawls they spar well together. She brings out the best in him! He decides to get more champagne. Turns out Stefano and Kate are out of town and the entire staff was sent home early. Nicole blinks. This is a set up. He has her exactly where he wants her! He vows he did not set this up. Furthermore, there are so many bedrooms in the house, if
she had to stay her virtue would be safe. She has his word. Nicole snaps she knows what his word means. He teases she does not trust herself to be alone with him. But if she really wants to go ... Nicole relaxes and smiles it would be a shame to ruin the dinner. She returns to her seat. They begin eating but then the power goes out! Nicole lights candles as
EJ listens to the radio. The storm has wreaked havoc all over the state! She is getting cold and so he goes to see about firing up some of the generators in the house. Little does she know there will soon be a very
different kind of heat happening at the mansion ...!
- At the Titan office, Brady notes Madison is still working. She gets sarcastic and he warns her the snow is getting pretty bad. He suggests a shared working dinner. They both talk Thai food and she giggles. She is impressed when he whips out some red wine. She concedes he did have some good ideas the other day and murmurs about her not having a partner. He is curious if she means personal or professional. She retorts there is nothing other than that which is professional, then advises him
to check on the food delivery. Brady calls and is dismayed to discover
the roads are closed, so there will be no delivery. Furthermore, they are stuck there!
- At the dim cabin, where a fire burns in the fireplace, Jen sighs that she and Jack are trapped. Cold Jack is a wreck about being trapped with no electricity or phone service. He runs to the door like a madman. Jen stops him. He gasps he has to get out, he has to get out! Jen tries to talk to him but he flashes back to being tortured and yells at her to get away from him. He collapses and hyperventilates. Jen is at his side in an instant and asks where he thinks he is. He gasps he is trapped and he cannot get out! Jen holds him and urges him to remember that he is here with her. Jack flashes back some more as she reminds him he delivered their baby when they were trapped once. He was her hero! She sings the lullaby he sang their daughter. Jack returns to reality and whispers he was in the cave, in the hole. He was right back there. He cries it was real and she holds him tight. This is real, she tells him. They are real. Meanwhile, Dan leaves another message on her phone, which is not in service.
- At the mansion, Dan asks Victor if he ever heard anything from his parents about them not being his biological mother and father. Victor lies he did not as Henderson walks by and listens. Dan notes Maggie and
Mel do seem happy. What does Victor think his parents would think of this? Vic smoothly states his parents would not feel betrayed, they would feel joy.
- At Titan, Brady has obtained snacks from the vending machine and bar for Madison. The mood is light and she drinks more red wine. Brady chuckles they will have chips for an appetizer. He opens the bag, teasing she would break a nail. She feeds him a chip. Their eyes meet. Later, he notices on her computer she has the Big Lebowksi wallpaper. She thinks
it is the greatest movie. She tries to find internet service as Brady decides to look for a radio. She tells him she likes his style and he drawls he has the whole cowboy thing going on. Exit Brady. "Yeah, you do," grins Madison. Brady soon returns with no radio. She accepts that she will not be able to get any work done. They drink more wine. Brady remarks if this were a movie, they would be at the part where the secrets come out. Madison claims she is an average girl. He begs to differ, as she built her own company. She admits she was the oldest child who was forced to take charge at a young age. When she was 12, her father ran off with a stripper and took everything with him. Her mom then had to work two jobs and she had to take care of the three kids. Brady is sympathetic. Madison continues. Her mother later died of cancer, though she felt it
was because she was abandoned. She decided right then and there she would never become such a victim. Brady quietly listens.
- Back at the cabin, Jack stammers he does not know how it happened, how he went back there. Jen holds his face in her hands and tells him he is safe with her. He places his head on her shoulder and she cradles it,
her eyes filled with worry.
- At the mansion, Maggie updates Victor. She put everything on the table for Daniel and it went very well. She now announces that she wants no secrets between them, before they are wed, so he must lay everything
out on the table right here right now. Victor pauses ...
