BACKTRACKERS PART 1 - Bo and Hope are at the Kiriakis mansion to wait for all the wedding deliveries as Maggie and Mel are away getting facials. Bo cannot believe it, as the wedding is not for a couple of days! There are pretty flowers and Hope picks one up. Bo drawls opposites attract, like Victor and Maggie, himself and Hope. Hope informs him that she would marry him again in a heartbeat. They kiss and he teases they have certainly had some practice. Hope goes to check if they are supposed to put any of the pretty flowers in water. When she walks out, Bo sits down and gets pensive. When Hope comes back, he pretends to be a French waiter, and then sits down as Bo, with champagne. She never got the fancy proposal she deserved so he has decided to do it now. They drink champagne and he mentions the Hope diamond. She notes that is cursed. He claims this one is different. She takes the real rings off her necklace and asks him to put them back where they belong. He wonders if she is ready for this. Hope declares that after all they have been through, she loves him even more. Bo gets down on a knee and gallantly places the diamond ring on her finger. "Hope will you marry me again?" She blinks back the tears. She would indeed again and again and again! Bo notes the ring is back where to belongs. They exchange I love yous and kiss. Bo claims he has already sent for a minister. He hands her a bouquet of flowers and wants to walk her down the aisle. Which was her fave wedding? It is too hard to say, but her favorite marriage is what they have now, as THIS is the marriage that will last forever. They kiss and embrace. Bo emotionally says they are lucky to be where they are in their relationship. She agrees and they kiss and kiss. - At the loft, househusband Rafe is talking to Sami on the phone. He is making dinner and has the laundry washing. The blender overflows and Gabi arrives. Rafe is trying to make salsa and also flan. The timer goes off and he exclaims he must pick up the kids. Gabi asks if Will is home. Not yet. All of a sudden, she yells there is a fire! They open the smoky oven. Afterwards, Rafe sighs the pan is ruined. Gabi thinks he was overly ambitious. He starts to get nervous about the kids. Gabi offers to do that for him that and suggests he do what he does best. He complains he was fired from the force. Gabi smiles that he can still do his own investigating. Rafe has household matters on his mind. He has stocked up on milk, but is not sure the storm will really hit. Gabi tries to talk him into proving John is innocent. Rafe is interested and decides to get right to work, after he cleans up. Gabi offers to do it for him as she awaits Will. She sends him out and he thanks her. - Will meets a somber Chad and Sonny at the pub. Chad warns him the cops cannot get involved in this matter. Sonny drops a bomb. Their website has been majorly hacked and they could get arrested! There are posts placing bets. Will intends to check it out. Chad calls it a nightmare. Sonny fears they will get in trouble for racketeering. Will soon manages to trace the IP posting the bets to a dorm at Salem U. The guys head out to confront the culprit! - At the townhouse, John has finished another workout and expresses his frustration about his case. Marlena reassures him and opens the door to Carrie, who has just landed. She is very worried about her witness in Switzerland. He is not answering her calls and she cannot reach him. John is dismayed. There is nothing linking any of this to Stefano. Carrie is now relieved to get a call from the witness. She will be in touch soon with his U.S. travel deets. Marlena is nervous they are relying on one witness, though Carrie is optimistic. John remarks he will need more proof that he did not steal the money as accused. Later, Carrie leaves a message for Austin, whom she hopes to see soon. Marlena informs her of her conversation with Austin. He is trying, but worries the case is driving a wedge between them. She knows he is just trying to do his job. Carrie now asks John about the security guard. It is working out well. Carrie points out they will have to keep their witness a secret. John and Marlena agree. John laments that even if they prove reasonable doubt, it will not be enough for the public to change their minds. Therefore, he needs proof that he was set up. Ding dong! Tis Rafe! He tells the gang he would do anything to help John. He happens to have some extra time on his hands and offers to do some legwork. Lawyer Carrie has an idea. She wants to hire him as a private investigator. John and Marlena are all for it! Carrie points out she would not have to get a new investigator up to speed. Rafe is excited to hear they want him to launch a full scale investigation right away. Carrie adds she can pay. She assumes he would like to check with Sami first. Rafe would rather not. John is certain he knows why. Sami is staying away and like everyone else in town, she thinks he is guilty! - Chad, Sonny, and Will go to the dorm room of a Salem U student. An unassuming guy opens the door and they push their way in, noticing his impressive hard drive. They demand to know what he is doing with their website. He plays innocent but they want answers. The guilty IP was traced to this room. Will warns he has a family in law enforcement that he can and will turn loose on him. - Rafe tries cover for Sami, but John already knows she believes he is guilty. Marlena explains it is complicated. Sami wondered if because of what Stefano did to him in the past, he might have unwittingly done certain things. John growls he has put Stefano's mind games behind him. Rafe assures him that when the evidence comes to light, Sami will come around. Carrie feels the new witness is just the tip of the iceberg that there is something going on here. There will be more. John does not want to come between Rafe and Sami. Rafe insists he will not. Rafe and Carrie depart to get to work. John stares into space. Ominous music is heard. Another flashback is imminent ... - At the dorm, the student claims he has been working on his thesis and quantum theory. Chad informs him he is a DiMera. The guy decides to come clean. All he can say is that he is a pawn in a bigger game. He will show them what he means. Their website is a backdoor to a gambling website. Will orders him to click on the basketball picture. "Server not found." The hacker enters the password. The college gambling website pops up. The guys are tense. This is very bad! They are now informed that they are a portal for a multi-million dollar gambling operation and the thugs who run it play for keeps ... Read Part 2 - click here! |
