Bo laments they have wasted too much time with angry investors. Lexie cannot blame them. Abe notes John is his friend and he backs him but he also sympathizes with the victims. Bo does not blame Rafe for what he did to help John. Abe warns him that one misstep could cost him his job. - At the loft, Sami is wearing a stylish pink dress, searching high and low for her shoes. Rafe has found them in the fridge, where Ally must have put them, and provocatively slips them on her feet. She stands up and he wants to kiss. So does she but she gasps she is late. Househusband Rafe has taken the kids to school and has her coffee and things ready to go. He wishes he had a job. Sami lets it slip that what Austin did actually helped her! Rafe sighs about not having a purpose in life and acts like a touchy housewife. He opens the fridge and gets annoyed guest Austin drank all the milk so he must eat his cereal dry. Sami picks up her bag and Rafe complains about the wet towel Austin has left out. She offers to help him clean up. Rafe assures her he will be fine and sends her off to work. Sami encourages him he will find a job. They exchange I love yous and a kiss and she rushes out, but returns for her bag and coat. Rafe hands them to her and she is gone. Disgusted, he picks up the wet towel. - At the mansion, Kate is raging about that Madison James. Stefano tries to get in a word edgewise. Kate hisses that Victor and Brady should not assume she will drop this. After she gave them the chance to work with her, they used the info she let them see! She could sue them and win, but a lawsuit would not be enough. They will learn what it means to cross Kate DiMera! Stefano wonders when she will calm herself. He reminds her of the first rule of business. Never tip your hand! Kate stares. She agrees he is right and she should not have shown her hand. The phoenix suggests she shuffle the cards and deal again. Kate licks her lips and he realizes she has done that. She whispers she already has a move in place to make Madison and her whipping boys pay. Stefano kisses her. He cannot wait to hear all about it and coos he is so proud of her. Later, he declares her plan is perfect and decides on a toast. He gleefully toasts to his lovely, clever wife "who devised the most dastardly plan in Salem's history!" Kate purrs he is sweet and adds may Madison, Brady, and Victor never see it coming. They drink to that! - Brady joins Madison in his office and glances at a letter she is typing. He advises her not to be so formal with the fellow he knows. Madison quips he should have more pressing matters. He disagrees. She has a personal question. Why does he always annoy her? She stands up and looks him squarely in the eye. Brady likes the closeness. He teases he owns Mad World Cosmetics, hence his right to be in his own office. She repeats she built this company. He argues he is the boss and she gets mad. She does not need his permission to run the day to day operations, as per their contract. He knows. She now decides there is an opening for an assistant. Would he like to be hers? Brady roguishly replies he would love to apply! She retorts he would not be up to her standards. He grins there is more to him than his looks. She admits he would be attractive if he were not such a jerk. Brady murmurs she is blushing and she smiles as he leans in for a kiss ... Sami bursts in and interrupts the moment. She apologizes and has a report ready. Madison thinks there is no need to be sorry and excuses herself. Brady wants to get back to work. Sami would like to talk to him first. Is he sleeping with her boss? Brady indignantly states he was helping her, that is all. He happens to be keeping an eye on his investment. Sami quips that is not the only thing he is keeping an eye on! Brady thinks she has a wild imagination. Sami tells him interoffice dating is a bad idea. She sees they are interested in each other, but she really needs this job and therefore needs him to leave Madison alone! - Back at the pub, Lexie is amazed to hear the happy story of Dan and Maggie reconnecting as mother and son. Abe is impressed. Lexie asks how they did it. Bo and Hope update them on the bank account which led to the letter. Abe steps away when he gets a call. Lexie wants to hear more. Hope is keen to find out where those bank statements lead. Abe comes back and informs the gang it was his new publicist. Jennifer! The mayor and first lady now excuse themselves, as they have an early lunch at the mansion with Stefano! Bo and Hope are surprised. Lexie explains he is acting pleasant and sincere of late. Bo and Abe are dubious. Hope stops them, then also decides something is not right. Abe explains this will give him a chance to scope out the opposition and see what team DiMera is really up to. - Rafe is at the loft, looking through the classifieds. He calls about a position as the head of security. He states who he is, and knows "Stan" already. He is ready for an interview but that job only starts in the spring. A job as a roofer is next on his shortlist and it has been filled. Then he tries to apply as a painter, a nanny, yet with no luck. - Stefano has just finished lunch at the mansion with Abe and Lexie. Abe demands he cut the cr*p and say what he really wants. Lexie seconds the motion. Stefano announces he has two items on the agenda. The first is that he has nothing to do with John Black's predicament and that is the trrrrrrrrruth! How about the next course, in the dining room, where they can continue the conversation? Kate elegantly leads the way. Afterwards, Stefano thanks his lovely wife for choosing such a wonderful sugar-free dessert. Abe impatiently demands to know what the second item on the agenda was. Stefano clears his throat and has a recommendation. "I want you to drop out of the race for mayor." Lexie's mouth falls open in disbelief ... - Bo and Hope are at the house, looking through old family boxes. Hope is certain the bank statements must lead to someone. Bo points out the account is still active, with monthly withdrawals. They rummage through the boxes, not certain what exactly they are searching for. They start with old family photographs. Bo thinks they could be wasting their time, but Hope persists. They kiss and Bo promises they are in this together. "No matter where this road takes us, we have each other." They embrace.
